Very nice location on the beach, which is not only directly accessible, but also starts right in front of the beautiful balcony. And it's illuminated at night, which looks really phenomenal. So, definitely book a room with a sea view.Otherwise, the warm pool and the whirlpool are really very pleasant, as the sea is very (!) cold (14 degrees for us on September 1st). There are also very good parking options, some good restaurants within walking distance and a very nice reception. The free afternoon snack (really good chocolate chip cookies, fish chowder) also puts you in a good mood.Don't expect too much at breakfast, very limited selection and paper plates/cutlery, small room, but better than no breakfast at all.If I'm in the area again, I'll come back.

This place has an amazing location. It is literally on the beach. However, for the price...you might think that you are getting a luxurious hotel. You do,in some ways, but the furnishings are from the early 90s. There is a wet dog smell. We had sugar ants all over the place. We loved the private balcony. The rooms are really spacious, you get an apartment really. The heated pool and spa area is amazing. Just don't think you are going to be in Waldorf...

Called from Newport and was told there were plenty of rooms for 2 for $200 on a Monday night and to come on in. 20 minute drive and when we walked in suddenly 'there are no more rooms available under $390'. Excuse me? This man apparently did not want a mid 20s white couple staying there once he saw our age? No clue. Super weird interaction, bummer because I was excited for this hotel but will not be back to a hotel with such discriminatory employees. Had a much better experience at the Comfort Inn which was ran but much nicer people and in a better location.

Our room smelt like wet dog and urine and could hear everything through the walls from neighboring rooms and from the outdoor eating area. We booked for a room that had "multiple beds" but only had 2 (which technically would be correct) even though the pictures on line showed 3. Pool, hot tub, and sauna was amazing. Service was also great.

Clean, nicely outfitted room. Pet friendly (they even gave us treats for our pup!) Bed was very comfortable. The balcony had very nice Adirondack chairs to watch the sea. Loved the short walk to the beach and enjoyed some complimentary salmon chowder in the lounge. Nice, warm pool and hot hot tub. All in all, a fantastic trip to the sea.

Can’t say enough good about this hotel. This is our place to stay when near the Lincoln City area. The location is centrally located close to food and shops and right on the beach! The beach access is fairly easy. About 15 steps down to the sand. The staff at the front desk have always been so kind and accommodating. They truly want to make your stay a great one. They are dog friendly and even have small biscuits on the check in desk and a fenced dog play area near the pool and main building. A variety of rooms to suit every need. Romantic king bed with soaking tub and fireplace to more generous family suites with kitchens and full bedrooms. A wonderful place for all. Elevators and plenty of parking. Breakfast is included in the morning in the office. Outdoor pool and hot tub are always clean and well kept. There’s even a nice waterfall feature in the corner. Definitely worth staying!

We would definately stay here again. We were put in a room on the third floor without having to ask and the view was spectacular. The room was still easy to get to and very quiet. The very private, covered balcony was lovely. The room was clean and spacious and the shower was great. Beach access was super easy and the pool/hot tub were open and very warm. Continental breakfast had several options and was pretty good. Salmon chowder in the afternoon was good and a nice touch. The front desk staff, morning and evening, were friendly, kind, and helpful. For the time we stayed I would say this is a great deal.

We had a room on the first floor and could walk right down to the beach, no long stairway! The view was amazing. Lovely little patio to sun on. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Just the right temperature. They had fish chowder at night for a snack. The breakfast was great. And it was quiet. My favorite thing! Will go back!

Checked out of this hotel last weekend and had higher expectations given the $300+ nightly price and the Ascend Hotels brand.I really feel this hotel would be better advertised under a different brand. According to Choice Hotels' Website, "Historic, boutique and one of a kind—these are the qualities you can expect from our Ascend Hotel Collection® portfolio. Ascend® hotels are woven into the culture and fabric of their communities, featuring art and amenities that put local flavor first. And our greatest specialty? Helping you explore what makes your destination different."This is more of a run of the mill Comfort Inn/Best Western and is showing it's age, although it's still not a horrible place to stay. The rooms are large, mine had two bathrooms and a large living area, although each of the bathrooms are tiny, almost zero counter space. The website shows a bathroom with 2 shower heads, one of which is a waterfall shower head, although our bathrooms only had one shower head.Additionally the hotel is having serious plumbing issues with toilets that barely drained, even with nothing in them, and the showers had a very slow drain rate and caused the water to pool up on the shower floor. The employees at this hotel where very hard working and the hotel put 3-4 people on to help with the extremely busy breakfast. This is part of the reason I raised my review from 2 to 3 stars. The hotel really needs to also look at the size of the breakfast area compared to the size of the hotel. When we where there it was way too crowded, although it was on a busy Saturday morning.
Wonderful hotel! These rooms have two full bathrooms, full kitchen, and the easiest access to the beach ever. Exceptionally clean, with a breakfast, continental style every day along with clam chowder and homemade cookies at 5 PM in the lobby. Wonderful pool area and outside grill and eating area for the fireplace. So fun to be there with the family and our dog. She’s room smells great and we’re very clean.

We really loved staying at this place. The property is well kept and beautiful. There are lots of paths to walk on and fun amenities for the guests. They have fire pits and cute bunnies that hop around. We also took full advantage of the coffee and cookies in the lobby! We brought our dog and it was so so fun to see her name on the welcome board upon check in. They also left us a welcome basket in our room with a bowl, frisbee, treats, a towel, and sheets for her. The location was also perfect to walk her right across the street to the beach every day! AND they have a great dog wash station. My only complaint, is that the ceilings do not dampen a lot of noise. Our upstairs neighbor had too Doodles and they would play all through the day, until 10pm, and again as early as 5:30am. While I'm all for dogs playing, it was a lot of footsteps to listen to above our heads and it kept us and our pups from fully relaxing. That isn't really the Inn's fault though.Regardless, I would recommend this place 10 times over. It was so fun!

Wonderful property in walking distance to the beach. Highly recommend!
It’s rare to stay somewhere that considers all the details for their guests, but this place certainly does. From fresh cookies on our arrival to the blankets and chairs they provide for your outdoor adventure, our stay at the Inn was clearly well thought out. Most importantly, our room was very clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the breakfast and Adirondacks around the outdoor fire pit as well as the fireplace in our room. The short walk to the beach while looking for bunnies and enjoying delicious salt water taffy was one of the highlights of our trip.

Loved it here. Rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. 5 minute drive to almost everything in cannon beach. Breakfast was pretty good. Check in was easy and you are welcomed with warm cookies. Cute bunnies around the property and dog friendly. Pricing seemed very reasonable for what you got here.

These guys went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Freshly baked cookies all day, great breakfast, locally made taffy, hundreds of dvds to choose from, popcorn, outdoor patio seating to relax in, and such a great location. We were close to everything but removed enough that it was quiet. We walked everywhere and loved it.The beach is close by. Haystack rock is a short walk down the beach.Such a great place to stay.

How could we say enough about the Inn at Cannon Beach and their staff? Beyond the incredible rooms & great location, what makes it truly amazing are the warm, friendly, tremendously accommodating staff. This was our 2nd time staying- the first time being when my wife & I got engaged. We loved it so much that we came back for our wedding & honeymoon. When the weather didn’t cooperate for an outdoor wedding, they allowed us to get married in front of the beautiful fireplace in their breathtaking, open beamed breakfast hall. The staff were so sweet and so kind, and bent over backwards to make it all so wonderful at the last minute. They even put a bride & groom rubber duckies on top of the champagne flutes they gave us along with the wonderful champagne in our room upon our arrival. The Inn at Cannon Beach will forever hold a very special & dear place in our hearts and we could never thank them enough!Mr & Mrs Sheets

Great location and a great atmosphere with Craftsman style lodge-like exterior and very clean, well kept rooms, some even pet friendly. The back deck overlooks a beautiful green space with a goldfish pond and quaintly lit pathways between buildings and a great place to view the sunset on clear evenings. Depending on what building you're in, you might be able to catch a piece of the ocean, the beach access just being across the street near the Moe's restaurant.
