Strange during COVID-19; people were such targets of harassment here, charges to the credit card seemed like those of Domino's pizza with charges out the wazoo, & the food was what without rude, ignorant people doing the most in the restaurant. Why is it called the ReedSmith again? For tax invasion, fraud reasons for the non wealthy like the Duq. CLub? Identity doesn't seem to be an issue there either when your names used for a Verizon phone, and service, & ya don't live there like who pays their light bills on the Second Floor being filled all the time. Other then that before 2017; it was a fabulous place to stay, see, and be!! Don't be a fan of the penguins, steelers, or pirates; unless your name, insurance, and identity hasn't been milked, & used by them ijs. Jesus saves even sinners from other countries.

My family and I planned a vacation months in advance to see a concert. We booked a suite at this hotel with an adjoining room. Check in was supposed to be 3:00 pm. It is 4:00 pm and we are being told it will be another hour before we get in the room. The concert starts in an hour and we have no where to shower change or put our things. If you're planning a trip that has time sensitive plans. DON'T BOOK HERE.

I typically never leave bad reviews but this hotel deserves it. On check in day, I got there at 2pm and they said my room wasn’t ready, which I expected because check in is at 3. They said they would text when it’s ready. I’m big and pregnant so I just sat in the lobby instead of walking around. By 3:45 they still hadn’t text so I went to the front desk and the room still wasn’t ready. I told them I needed to be in a room in less than 5 minutes so they switched my room. Couldn’t they have done that earlier? I then asked for foam pillows and they brought up extra towels instead. Our friend’s room’s air conditioner wasn’t working. They told them they could fix it but then their lights wouldn’t work. So they had to choose between lights or air conditioner. They wouldn’t let them switch rooms. Then when we checked out today they tried to charge us for a sparkling water and pretzels that were apparently eaten in the room. We never eat the snacks or drink the drinks in the rooms we stay in. Choose any other hotel but this one.

Google lists this as a five star hotel which I think is quite laughable. I’ve seen three star hotels better than this place. Google also lists that there is a free breakfast which is not true. There is breakfast at the F2 restaurant and a Starbucks that was conveniently located in the lobby. The location is great especially if you’re going to see the Pirates at the PNC park. You’re able to walk across the bridge to get there which makes it a great location for that. I will say the road in front of the hotel is quite congested during baseball season especially before and after a game so be wary of that when visiting. The view from the rooms is fantastic and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms however take a lot away from this review. It’s very outdated and not very clean. There was definitely other people’s hair all over the bathroom floor. And other people’s dirt hanging out in the shower. For a supposed five star hotel you would expect a bit more out of their rooms.

Pros: Location is perfect, a block from my office and a block from market square. Connor is phenomenal at his job and always so pleasant. The guys working valet and bag check are always a delight. Use of the spa facilities during the stay. Gym has 2 Pelotons. Starbucks in the lobby is convenient.Cons: Beds don't have a fitted sheet, which I find odd. Just one thin flat sheet between you and the mattress. Lack of security in the lobby. Rooms are a bit shabby, during my last stay the bed frame was ripped with stuffing coming out, weird stains on the curtains, some kind of slimy gross substance on the light switch next to the bed. And most recently they sent me a new/updated receipt for my latest stay and tried charging me for food and beverages offered at the refreshment center in the room!! I never even touch those items because most hotels have sensors on those and the price is always outrageous. Thankfully I called and spoke to Nadia and it was corrected quickly, but I think people should know to pay close attention to their emails/charges even after check-out.

Great location, service and room. We read the reviews before booking and still decided to book. We experienced no issues and the stay was fantastic start to finish. No wait at Valet to pick up or drop off and attendants were extremely helpful and kind. Front desk was wonderful along with the concierge staff. We were able to check in a few hours before check in time, check out later than the posted time while they held our bags/car in parking. The room was extremely spacious, immaculately clean and stocked with towels and snacks. The bed was comfortable and clean, as well as the bathrooms being spotless. We are breakfast at fl. 2 during our stay which had great food and good service. Fitness center was spacious, clean, attendants friendly, and had a small shop and steam rooms. This stay was nothing less than fantastic.

I have stayed here before and while we had a great first stay, the last time we stayed we found a cockroach in our room. I killed it at 3 am and slept with one eye open as we were told the hotel was fully booked upon check in so how would we move rooms.Upon check out I showed them the cockroach I killed and asked for a refund for at least the night. I was directed to the manager who basically blamed me for not calling to change rooms and offered me half of the one night refunded but couldn't do it herself and had to talk to 3 other people. I told her they are a 4 star hotel with cockroaches and they are making it a me problem which is unacceptable, and she just shrugged and again said I should have called to move rooms. Again, we were told 2 times they were booked solid so how would we get a new room?I asked when I could anticipate a call and she said tomorrow by 4. I received no call and am beyond underwhelmed by how this situation was handled. Again, 4 star hotel, with cockroaches, blaming the guest and offering nothing but half of one night and no follow up call and no refund in my account. I never raised my voice or got angry, but was being treated as I was the problem regardless. Extremely disappointed.

Enjoyed my visit! Loved the decor, style, and theme. The coffee and tea section was a nice touch. The lounge was perfect for relaxing and reading. It was a bit noisy at night, and parking was a bit complicated, but overall, a great stay!

We were gifted a night’s stay and could not have been happier with this hotel! We loved the design accents which are bold and cheerful. We had a lovely and comfortable room, very quiet even on a Saturday. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to PNC park. We enjoyed our welcome drink, and breakfast at the Commoner Sunday morning. Will happily stay again!

This is genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I booked it extremely last minute (I’m talking 10 mins) after a horrific experience at another hotel up the street. I showed up letting them know if my reservation wasn’t showing up yet, I don’t mind waiting. They saw how distressed I was and how I was obviously crying and asked if I was okay. I explained my situation and another man who worked there came up and was shocked at how another hotel had treated me. He offered me a glass of wine on the house while we were getting me checked in. Even though I was obviously disheveled and all over the place, they treated me with the most respect. I wish I got their names, but I cannot thank the two of them enough. As for the hotel, I had booked a double queen and I was shocked at how big the rooms were and how gorgeously decorated they were. I felt safe, it felt clean. And they offer so many in room amenities. This hotel is absolutely worth the price and I couldn’t recommend it anymore. I know that if/when I’m ever back in Pittsburgh, this will be the place I will stay every time without a doubt
Amazing place to stay. Such a beautifully curated boutique feel. Everyone who worked there was friendly. There was a welcome note along with a few text messages to make sure our room was to our liking. Free happy hour cocktail and a free coffee bar in the morning. The rooftop bar is also phenomenal. Would definitely stay again.
