From start to finish it was a beautifulflawless execution. The first class white glove service to the divine food to the magnificent wedding cake in a spectacular jaw dropping room display of desserts. Impressive. Proper. Surreal. Our family and guests walking on cloud 9 since.

THEY WON’T REFUND THE SECURE DEPOSIT!!!! When you called, they tried their best to mask their mistakes! My recent stay at Oheka Castle turned into a nightmare due to their deceptive practices and terrible customer service.Initially, I was charged $545.66 for my room via Amex.travel for a night on September 13. At check-in, they required a card for a “secure deposit” but upon check-out, promised to send a receipt by email, which I never received.Days later, I was shocked to discover an additional unauthorized charge of $522.54 on my card. Attempting to resolve this issue was an exhausting ordeal: hours on hold, being transferred repeatedly, and ending with voicemails. It was only through my credit card company’s intervention that the hotel reluctantly picked up the phone. The hotel initially tried to dismiss the extra charge as a dinner expense. Thankfully, I had taken a photo of my dinner receipt totaling only $119. After presenting this evidence, they partially admitted their error but still attempted to justify the unexplained charges. They offered a refund only after significant pressure from Amex and myself. BY NOW, STILL NO REFUND NOR RECEPT, EVEN THEY PROMISED SEND THE RECEIPT IMMEDIATELY!Throughout this process, not once did the hotel staff offer a sincere apology or a plausible explanation. They simply tried to mask their mistake by mislabeling charges and were prepared to let me pay for their errors if I hadn’t vigilantly checked my statements.Besides, the telephone in the room never works. Every time you want to reach the front desk, you have to go all the way through the castle to the front desk.I strongly advise against staying at Oheka Castle. The lovely view is not worth the potential financial disputes and the utter lack of accountability from the hotel management. Protect your finances and seek accommodations that respect their guests and practice transparency.

I would give no stars if I could. I checked out before the checkout time but they DID NOT return the deposit, they will not answer phone call. The hotel service is very bad, in-room phone call was never picked up. Multiple restrictions on taking photos. The hotel management team were being rude when we ask for permission on taking photos. Overall, bad experience.

Talk about an incredible wedding venue!! Everything about the venue and the wedding was perfect! The grounds and the castle itself were amazing! The service throughout the wedding and reception was excellent and the food and drinks were delicious! If you ever have a chance to visit for a wedding or just for a tour I highly recommend it!

Our visit was for lunch and walk around the castle. We arrived a few minutes before 11am so we had to wait: Grounds were beautiful. We went on a Tuesday so it was very quiet. Food was great and prices reasonable. Service was very good.I believe they offer paid tours on the history of the castle on their website. This is a very good place for tourists who want to see what Long Island has to offer.
Was informed three days prior to our stay that our room had been upgraded due to a golf event. At check in, we discovered that the dining room was closed and that in addition to the said golf event Monday, there was a Great Gatsby party sponsored by a cannabis company Sunday night. This party went until 1:00am, which was followed by screaming upstairs in the hallway of the fourth floor until approximately 2:30am. At 3:00am after we finally fell asleep there was knocking on our door. The "after party" for the actual golf outing Monday night didn't go as late, but featured performances by rappers that didn't start until after 11:00pm. If you are looking for upscale accommodations in a serene setting, Oheka is not necessarily the place. On nights with events, the hotel should not be open to the general public because it simply isn't fair to expect them to just deal with the inconvenience. We would have NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS booked a room here, had we known what was actually happening. I've included a photo of the "gift" we received upon check in from the party promoters. It pretty much speaks for itself, if we get you high hopefully you won't complain. Totally unacceptable...

I recently attended a celebrity golf tournament at Oheka Castle, and the experience was truly exceptional. The castle's grandeur and elegance provided a stunning backdrop for the event, and the facilities were top-notch. From the impeccable service to the breathtaking views, every detail was meticulously handled, creating a memorable experience. Oheka Castle is not only a magnificent venue but also a testament to luxury and sophistication. I highly recommend it for any high-profile event or special occasion.

I cycle through here often and decided pay a visit. Was hoping to grab a coffee and pastry.Met the grounds keeper at the gate and he was very polite. I got permission to enter with my bicycle. Had to walk 10 minutes since it was a gravel path. The garden is beautiful and everything looks serene. Asked around and was informed no cafe except for a restaurant.Took some nice photos and decided it best to return in a car for lunch on next visit.

I booked for my wife's birthday through Expedia and a month after i made the reservation and 3 weeks before i was supposed to go there the baker house cancelled my reservation!!!!! shame on you baker house this wasnt supposed to be my first time there but i will never stay at your place ever again, you blaming Expedia for a mistake in price and not honoring it is shameful.
The Baker House 1650 in East Hampton is just an amazing bed and breakfast experience. It's an old house from 1600's with all the old world charm. If you want to have a massage or the private pool make an appointment and reserve your private time. The rooms are quite beautiful and offer a lot of charm and all the necessities. They offer delicious breakfast each morning, The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I strongly recommend that you pay close attention to the cancellation terms that are extremely unusual and punishing. The mandatory deposit to be paid upon reservation (i.e. 50% of the total stay cost !) will not be refunded if the Guest cancel the reservation within 30 days of arrival, regardless of any good reason or cause. In my case, due to serious health issues, I had to cancel my visit to the Hamptons and my 7-day stay at The Baker House in East Hampton last December. I was actually expecting to lose 10% of the total stay cost (what they call Administrative Cost which is always due in case of cancellation) and that would have been acceptable, but I never imagined losing all the advance payment requested when I made the reservation online in September. Here following the response received when I asked for the refund of my deposit less the 10%:"I am sorry to have missed the opportunity to host your stay with us. The Baker House is a small bed and breakfast, and we are significantly affected by cancellations. As stated in our cancellation policy that we emailed you at the time of your reservation confirmation with us, if a guest cancels within 30 days of arrival, they will be responsible for the full reservation amount unless we are able to re-book the room. We understand that things in life beyond our control do tend to happen. For that we have offered to make use of 100% of your deposit for a future stay, it doesn't have an expiration time on it. However, I am sorry to inform you that you do not qualify for a refund of any kind. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us."Please note that this occurred during a period of low season and with several rooms available, so that The Baker House did not miss any potential business because of my cancellation. Basically, The Baker House have cashed the amount of $1,265 for doing absolutely nothing (except for having booked and cancelled my reservation). Upon my request for explanations and details about the pretended loss procured by my cancellation (i.e. what they call "significant impact"), I only received a reiteration of their Cancellation Terms and their best wishes for my problems. That's really, I'm not joking! So, in light of my personal experience, if you ever decide to book a room at The Baker House, you’d better make sure that you stay healthy and in good shape until you get there, otherwise your money are gone and you'll remain with “the mockery in addition to the damage” ("oltre al danno, anche le beffe" as we say in Italy). Too bad. That is very much in contrast to the atmosphere of The Hamptons inspired by the values of grace, serenity, beauty and mutual respect.

We came for afternoon tea and had a great experience. We did the royal tea service, and it was fantastic. The sandwiches were amazing and fresh. The champagne and caviar were excellent. The tea was very good. We had a corner table sort of by the garden entryway, and it was a perfect spot with shade. The garden and grounds were magnificent and clearly well maintained. The service was impeccable, and they really did great catering to our ever need. We will definitely go back.

We loved our escape to The Hamptons and our stay at The Baker House. It's a beautiful Inn with lovely grounds. The staff were exceptional. The spa experience is one of a kind. We loved learning about the history of the property. Would highly recommend.

We are a large Italian family and required a lot of rooms and space so the Carriage House at The Baker House exceeded our needs. From the beautiful grounds, salt water private pool to staff that were 2nd to none-it was an amazing experience. Is ideally located within walking distance to the East Hampton village. Best part though was Anne, the Innkeeper. She was so charming, accommodating, had a great personality and makes the best breakfast! She’s the reason we will surely return.
