No problems with the poker room here. They always have games going and the games are run well. Only qualm is that the room isn't 24-7, so if you have a good game going it won't last, but I guess you can't have it all.
Loved the location right across from Caesars with lots of food spots in the area. Kinda sucked hearing the elevator screeching from my room every time somebody went up or down but it didn't interfere with sleeping. Drinking may have help with that as well. Service was pretty 'lax.
Love the fact that the casino is Non smoking inside! Hotel housekeeping service was SLACK!!!!! Could not get towels for several hours each time they were requested. Employees can stand in the lobby and check to see if you have a key card for a room but won't answer the phone for towels! BS
Zero stars.1st of all, clearly the reviews are monitored and bad reviews are dropped. We always get offers to stay, normally we stay elsewhere but thought we’d try the complimentary suite that was offered. Nothing available (on a Sunday- Wed.) but the agent tried his best to get me to accept a regular room. Next, the casino was the absolute pits. Crickets- it was so quiet as in no one winning a dime. Tables were a minimum $25. Truly! I get complimentary drinks w/ my players card of which you order straight from the slot machine. For 45 minutes it said, ‘order is on the way’. Never came. A beer! This was repeated over n over. I suggest anyone that likes a little casino action to take it and your $$ elsewhere. Race track or Treasure Chest. This ‘new’ Caesar’s is the worst.
My BF and I love to go to casinos mainly Vegas, but decided to venture to NOLA. First off the Bellman and Front desk staff are hands down the best thing about our stay. I left my cell phone in the taxi that brought us from airport. What a way to start off our trip?! The staff got my phone back within 2 hours. The casino oh boy! The slot machines are VERY TIGHT. A good bit of them were not even working. The smoker section was a complete joke. You could smoke but maybe 10 games worked out there mostly video poker. Casino is very spaced out as far as slots. Thank goodness it was French Quarter Festival weekend. The city was dirty with trash reminded me of living in NYC. We will not return back, not even for the free comp trips we get though this one was not a comp trip. Oh the room, the shower water never got hot.
Beautiful hotel that really exceeded my expectations with ambiance and hospitality. We stayed in the second floor of the school house, and it was cute and quaint. I absolutely swooned over the shower and other small details around the property.Highly recommend doing the self guided tour in and around the property; it brings the space more to life. Victor, who helps preserve and restore the buildings, gave us a brief tour of the Church and pointed out other facts about the space. (He saw us outside viewing the church and offered to show us inside 😍)
I usually don’t like old hotels, and these buildings are old for sure. But it’s a beautiful place, service is exceptional and the location is central but on a quiet street. I’d love to come back.

We had a beautiful stay at Hotel Peter and Paul. It is restored/converted with great taste. Quiet, well located but quiet. We didn’t try the food at the Elysian Bar but the cocktails were great! Would definitely stay there again 🙂
The aesthetic of the hotel is super charming and well designed. The bed was comfortable. The rest of the furniture was not, but everything was super convenient. The room was very clean with fresh towels and hot shower the walls are very thin, Especially when not in the the lofted bed area.My plane was delayed multiple hours, but the night staff texted me and was able to allow me a very late check-in. The morning staff very nice and saw me taking photos with my film camera and allowed me to take a few photos in the cathedral.The location was within distance to the downtown area, whether by Uber or a bit of a stroll.
My wife and I are just returning from a weekend in NOLA. Our stay at Hotel Peter and Paul was exceptional! What a romantic, quaint, unique jewel of a place. The staff were all fantastic! It was quite a breath of fresh air from the chain hotels in busy locales. And speaking of fresh air, the smell of the hotel even in the rooms was an understated but scrumptious smell throughout! The Marigny neighborhood area is charming but like much of NO I suspect, could seem a bit unsafe but we walked almost everywhere and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. It’s only a few blocks from the fabled Frenchman St and also very walkable to the French Quarter. The interior was really gorgeous. The rooms were impeccable. Would love a return visit sometime. Definitely recommend.
Liked it, wanted to love it. The attention to detail on the exteriors (gorgeous) didn’t match the somewhat tacky interiors. The restaurant and bar are amazing and the staff is lovely. But we had to change rooms due to lack of soundproofing which was very uncomfortable. Hotel was very busy which made the noise issue apparent. Great location, very walkable. If they improve the noise issue, I would go back.
