The staff is as excellent as the facility. The rooms or just very comfortable and I love the clouds on the ceiling What a fantastic experience and I have stayed in many hotels! The only thing wrong was our visit was not long enough. I would give it more than five stars if you had them to give.

Scrumptious food! Every single server is so beautiful! I highly recommend! The young woman at host stand (With the gorgeous purple hair) was so kind and helpful! Our server was named Lexy and she was prompt with service and extra willing to go above and beyond! Much love for this location, ambiance and atmosphere! I recommend this place to the day I die! This hotel is more than a place to stay, it's an experience in itself. The lobby is beautiful yet cozy, with live jazz on Thursday nights, and English tea midday (make a reservation for the teatime- the jazz is first-come-first-serve seating.) My room was lovely, with relaxing sky painted on the ceiling and a spacious bathroom/dressing area. The bed was comfortable. The hotel even has its own literary magazine - The O. Henry Magazine, and a copy will be in your room. I didn't take the rubber ducky home, but it was tempting.

My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary there on August 14th.We found the overall atmosphere both inside and out was relaxing and pleasant. We especially liked having a relaxing afternoon cocktail on the patio. The restaurant offers a unique menu with surprisingly reasonable prices. Staff was on task and pleasant. We experienced a few minor issues that were promptly and respectfully resolved by the hotel manager.“The solution outweighs the problem.”I would stay there again.- A special thanks to the manager.D. We had a wonderful staycation! Our concierge, Evan, was wonderfully hospitable and made us feel welcome the moment we got here. The rooms were clean and beautiful, food was excellent, pool was gorgeous- all in all a great experience. We don’t get to treat ourselves often and it really felt like every employee tried to make us feel welcome- it made us feel very special.I have a background in hospitality and was very grateful to see such a warm representation here! Thank you for making our anniversary special.

As a new resident of the Charlotte area, The Ballantyne Hotel was a perfect getaway for my 3-day weekend. I originally booked a stay here to enjoy the hot tub amenity but was left impressed by their wonderful staff. The service I received here was truly magnificent and a service like no other. From the front desk receptionists, spa services personnel, in-room dining crew, and housekeeping; everyone here was cheerfully attentive to my needs and super accommodating. Highly recommend The Ballantyne Hotel to anyone looking for luxurious rooms, a scenic environment, and phenomenal hospitality.

Nicely appointed hotel and rooms. Very friendly staff. Attractive bathroom, however, the shower fixtures are in desperate need of replacement. In addition, the air conditioner struggled to keep the room comfortable. The humidity remained high in the room throughout my stay. I have stayed here 10 nights in the last 8 weeks. I would definitely stay here again as it is in a great location. I did not eat here or book any spa services. My comments are strictly on hotel accommodations.

Initially, I left a bad review, but after speaking with the team members and re-evaluating, here is my honest review: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Ballantyne, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and live music venues (which are rare in this area). Even though we live nearby, we stay here often as it serves as our little vacation getaway. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including a well-maintained pool, a modern fitness center, and comfortable, spacious rooms. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ensuring our stays are pleasant. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a wide variety of options, and the overall atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We highly recommend this hotel for both locals looking for a quick escape and visitors seeking a prime location in Ballantyne.

Enjoyed a really nice one-night stay here this past weekend, and was surprised at check-in with an upgrade to a balcony room. The property is quite attractive inside and out, with well-appointed and spacious guest rooms, a gorgeous lobby, a small park behind the hotel, and plenty of outdoor space including a large swimming pool. Can’t vouch for the food as I only had a drink at the bar, but the restaurant looked appealing and was fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon. There was also an apparently quite popular afternoon tea service going on in the lobby when I arrived Saturday afternoon.Staff all very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, though the front desk did seem a bit stretched thin—often a line to speak to someone.Do take note that the hotel is a bit far afield— 20-30 min drive from central Charlotte attractions. I booked this place somewhat last-minute without taking that into account, but didn’t really make a difference to me, especially for a quick overnight. And there’s no shortage of food and shopping options in the close vicinity. All in all, I would stay again without hesitation—and wish I had gotten to enjoy more than one night here!

I’m so disappointed honestly. :(I asked my husband for no gifts for my birthday except one night alone to just read books and sleep and get room service. He booked a deluxe balcony room. I just checked in and was put on the ground floor. It’s super loud in the hall and I can hear people’s full conversations and doors slamming constantly. I look out the window and I feel like I’m literally *in* the parking lot.I called to ask if I could possibly move to another balcony room on one of the floors not on the ground. They couldn’t help, but said they could down grade me to one without a balcony but would not refund the difference.I’m honestly just super sad as this is my one day all year to do this and be a mom with no kids and just rest and relax. Its a lovely hotel, but I really wish I would have requested somewhere else. Last year here was perfect, but this is the opposite of what I wanted. I kind of want to bail and just go home. If you consider booking for the same, please know if it’s busy they might just put you wherever and have you deal with it. No one will go out of their way to make sure you’re happy.

Our stay here was great. The one thing that I find missing these days is friendly and caring hospitality, and it was refreshing to find this in every staff member we interacted with at this hotel. Every time I talked to anyone working at this hotel, there was always a smile and a genuinely effort to make my stay as awesome as it can be. It was a work trip so I didn’t use much of the extras at the hotel, however I did eat at the restaurant and food was good. What distinguishes this stay from many other hotel stays was the great hospitality.

Disappointed with the stay overall. Hotel itself is okay and some of the staff members were very nice. There was a problem with the thermostat and the room would get really hot at night. Totally understand things can break down etc. even in nicest of places but you expect the problem to get addressed. However, despite repeated requests to front staff and manager, the problem remained and did not get fixed. A engineering guy, who was nice enough, came once and said thermostat has issues but keep monitoring the temp and it should get adjust itself. After Three sleepless nights and I have decided I will never stay here again. Indoor pool was closed which also was not disclosed at the time of booking. Limited on site dining options. Positives include Rooms are quiet and roomy. Fitness center is nice.

Lovely hotel. Clean and modern design. Lots of fresh flowers throughout. Great lobby area. Nice pool and workout area. The rooms were excellent. Lots of space. Cozy beds with pillows and blankets that were soft. Nice robes. Big bathrooms with a tub, shower and nice toiletries.I had room service and it was nice and delicious. I had the avocado toast and coffee. Nicely present. Fresh and hot. Friendly service.I also ate at the restaurant and bar. Both were excellent. Nice service and delicious food. The scallops and asparagus were delicious. The Caesar Salad was also tasty. Everything was really good.Service was really nice. I didn't have time for the spa or tea but they looked amazing. I will have to be back.

We just finished a family ‘staycation’ here at the Ballantyne and can’t say enough good things about the service at this hotel. The waiters at the pool were on point all weekend and Sal at the Gallery restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience for my wife and I. We had our two young sons with us and they were treated excellent as well. The shuttle driver was awesome as well - we really, really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely do this again. The lobby, rooms and pool were all in excellent shape. A great weekend had by all.
