This was my first ZaZa experience and I enjoyed every moment. The front desk clerk, Sherell, was superb. Very pleasant and professional. The restaurant menu items were delicious. My favorite ZaZa pink lemondrop!! All the servers were wonderful!A great staycation for a birthday celebration. Thank you all!!!

I recently attended a conference at Hotel ZaZa in Memorial City, and while I didn’t stay overnight, I was incredibly impressed by the experience. Hotel ZaZa is known for its chic and immaculate ambiance, and this location certainly lived up to that reputation. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Memorial City, it offers an exclusive and private atmosphere, making it feel like a true destination. One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional staff. From the food service team to the AV staff and check-in personnel, everyone was attentive and proactive. They consistently anticipated our needs—whether it was replenishing snacks, refilling drinks, or making sure everything was running smoothly. I especially appreciated the all-day drink station, offering coffee, tea, and sodas, which kept us refreshed and warm during the long conference sessions. The layout of the event space was flawless. The entire fifth floor was dedicated to the conference, with clear signage guiding us to different breakout sessions and areas. The staff ensured we knew exactly where to go from the moment we arrived, and everything was well-organized. The conference rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the breakout sessions offered an intimate setting for deeper discussions. The outdoor patio was a real gem—offering a refreshing green space with a view of Houston, perfect for taking a break from being indoors all day. It was a thoughtful touch that made the conference feel less confined. Another feature that impressed me was the accessibility of the bathrooms, with multiple stalls designed to accommodate all guests, which is often overlooked in many venues. If I had to suggest one area of improvement, it would be the valet service. After the conference ended, it took about 15-20 minutes for cars to be retrieved, causing a slight delay. While it didn’t diminish the overall experience, adding benches or seating in the waiting area could make it more comfortable for guests who need to wait.As a keynote speaker and career coach, I’m always looking for venues that elevate the event experience, and Hotel ZaZa checked all the boxes. The combination of top-tier service, attention to detail, and an inspiring atmosphere makes it an ideal place for future events. If I see Hotel ZaZa hosting an event, I’ll be RSVPing without hesitation because I know the standard of excellence they bring to both attendees and speakers.**This is happily endorsed by Lovely is YOUR Story for Inspiring tastes and excellence of customer service.**

Very nice and luxurious hotel in Houston Memorial city. Room was modern and clean. The only negative comment is that bedsheets had a few holes and some dirty spots, which surprised me considering the hotel status. After leaving a tip next day, the room and bedsheets were perfect.

Outstanding hotel. Next door to one of our favorite restaurants and we never would have stayed here but for the hurricane. Large, beautiful rooms, each with their own personality. Very nice, patient, and accommodating staff. The fresh-brewed coffee on every floor is a very nice touch compared to finicky in-room machines or having to go downstairs to find it. Even the guests seemed friendlier there, a sign that folks are being well taken care of.

We booked an anniversary night here and while the hotel is nice, we were severely disappointed on several fronts.Pros: beautiful ambiance, friendly front desk staff, wonderful complimentary peanut butter cookies and spacious rooms.Cons:You have to valet ($30 or $40) despite there being a parking garage right next to the hotel. This is inconvenient if you are planning on coming and going throughout the day and night. We get an obnoxiously loud knock at our door around 10:15pm asking if we want a turn down service. I’ve never been to a hotel that does at that hour, typically it’s around 8pm. When we complained about this upon check out the staff had no idea the service was being offered that late. They almost didn’t believe us staying it shouldn’t have occurred past 9pm.We were also given the room right off the elevator which wasn’t an issue untilthe morning when we could hear every guest on our floor getting their coffee at the “butlers pantry”.For the price of this hotel we expected the noise level and the night staff service to be better. Most likely will not stay again.

Weird place. It's like they don't want you to stay there. My brother and I were ready to book rooms...the guy at the front desk said they don't accept walk ins...huh? Why? This is a hotel correct? I've never heard of a hotel not wanting business, especially when they have several empty rooms. Bizarre how this place is still in business. And the name zaza is horrible to begin with so I already had my misgivings. Needless to say, never will try to stay here and spend $300/night at this hotel again.

Had one of the most bizarre hotel experiences ever here. Stopped at front desk to inquire about room availability and was told you cannot book a room in person but have to call their number. Seems to me the most fundamental service of a hotel front desk employee should be the ability to book a room but apparently ZaZa is different. So I called the number and asked about room availability and the woman who answered was the most rude person. It was as if I had called her at home and was asking for a personal favor and annoying her. Needless to say we just left and got a room elsewhere. Never experienced a hotel putting up so many roadblocks for booking one of their own rooms.

Overrated, maybe notFirst time experience paying for valet parking ($46+ tax) at a hotel. Hotel choice was I assumed it had garage parking to secure vehicle; it did, floors 2-5. The room was as requested,  2  beds, handicap shower, that was good. It did have a small fridge with water bottles,  other drinks. A 16 oz bottle of wine was $60. Anything else would be a call for room service, ice, coffee, etc $. There are no vending machines. No morning coffee until 530am in lobby, 0600 hrs each floor at elevator. No morning breakfast, compliments were apples and breakfast cookies. Had I read their gun policy before making a reservation, I would have gone elsewhere.  The hotel advertised price was half of what I was billed. Bait and switch.  Over $300 to cancel at check in, cost another 160 to stay.  I’m I disappointed, no. Service isn’t cheap, nor is security and comfort.  There are no loud disturbances at this hotel. I would have been much happier with coffee when I woke up at 3 am. Don’t be surprised if English is a second language.

This hotel is quite impressive. I'm particularly fond of its tasteful decor, and the rooms are exceptionally spacious and well-appointed. However, there was a minor issue during my check-in when I arrived at night. There was only one person at the front desk, who appeared to be occupied with other tasks. I had to wait for about 5 minutes before someone arrived to assist with check-in. After a long flight, you usually want to expedite this process to rest as quickly as possible. On a positive note, the hotel's restaurant is also quite enjoyable. The service is excellent, and the bar offers a great selection. I must say, the pizza they serve is good…

This is a tough review! Beautiful Hotel, stunning rooms with a fantastic location. There are a couple negatives that i brought up to the front desk and they seemed shocked. This may or may not bother you, but hear me out. As a business professional who has to retire to my room to work on a high powered laptop and designs… Every single table and coffee table is glass. Bring a mouse pad because your devices will not register. Sounds silly but the desk was inoperable for me. 2nd The gift shop/essentials if you forget something is less than a motel 6. Way too nice of a hotel to be so under-equipped for its guests! Other than that it’s a great place

The Zaza is a lovely hotel and employs excellent staff. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Every request was met promptly and professionally during our stay; special thanks to the valet staff, Greg, Luis and Luz for being so helpful!
We enjoyed a staycation weekend with our 7 year old daughter and everything was spot on starting with the check in process, we had previously requested an early check in and they were able to accommodate us. The corner king room was beautiful and they brought up a roll away cot for my daughter. The pool was great and not crowded with good shade from the building. We had a fantastic Sunday brunch poolside and the portions were large enough for us to each have leftovers of the Benedict, tacos, waffle/chicken. Also had the avocado toast which had goat cheese and pepitas, my daughter loved it too. Also utilized the spa facilities while on site, reviewed that separately but it was fantastic! There was a nice spread of coffee and tea in the elevator lobby on each floor as well each morning.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Houston. The location feels secluded yet still close enough to get into town. The service was nothing short of amazing. The front desk team was beautiful inside and out. They went beyond the call of duty the entire time. I stayed in the suite called Passage to India. I chose this suite because the bedroom is completely blacked out which allows for the best sleep you’ll ever have. Short story short, I will stay here over and over without hesitation!

Probably the best experience I've ever had with a hotel. We stayed here for our anniversary and we truly couldn't have had a better time. Location is great, valet service was fast and efficient, and everyone on staff was kind and friendly and really make you feel like you are just staying with close friends that you've known for years. Also a bar and restaurant conveniently located inside the hotel. Breakfast was even great! They really had a hand in making our anniversary weekend that much better.100% recommend this hotel.

Picked this hotel for a weekend away from Dallas. It's only a few blocks from the big theaters and shows, and it's across the hall from the Houston Symphony building. The valet service is STELLAR, and the front desk staff we spoke with were awesome. We stayed in the Composer suite and had an amazing in suite breakfast. If I was forced to make a critical comment, it would be the elevator situation. However, this is a beautiful old building... and the few times we had to wait were not more than 7 minutes. From the valet at the front door, the bar, restaurant, front desk, and all the way up to the room... This weekend stay was exactly what we needed to recoup.

We were extremely disappointed following our stay. The valet caused significant damage to our vehicle during our one night stay. Upon check-out our vehicle was brought to us. It never occurred to me to inspect the vehicle. How many of us do, especially when leaving a luxury hotel. We drove straight home and while unpacking luggage noticed the damage to the rear bumper and side panel as if it were backed into something. We were shocked that no one reported this to us. We immediately called the hotel and was told no manager was available. When we did not receive a return call, we called back but were still not allowed to speak to management. We received an email stating it would take 5-10 days to investigate our claim which we knew was simply a run-around tactic since there were only 3 staff members working Valet during our stay so why so long. After waiting 9 days we followed up only to be told our claim was denied due to: 1."The parking entity did not have the infrastructure to cause such damage". I assume this means they park vehicles in an open field with no walls, pillars, gates, vehicles, etc. This also implies that we are lying about how the damage occurred, which is the biggest insult of all. 2. "Because we did not report the damage before leaving the facility". Which I assume is why no one reported they had damaged our vehicle and this is how they get out of their responsibility, hoping the customer doesn't notice their mistake prior to leaving. That part is stated in small print on the back of the valet ticket. But again, we thought we were staying at a place that had a high level of customer service. Obviously we were wrong. Our insurance will take care of this with no problem (estimated at $4500) but that's not the issue at hand. The lack of integrity, professionalism, and disregard for the customers concerns is the larger issue. Please be mindful when using valet as this is the only parking offered.

Great location and great history to the hotel. Our keycard didn’t work at first and thought it was me as the card reader isn’t that obvious, especially when card doesn’t work, might have been me being slow too!! But that fixed quickly, if you get a package they can include everything so you don’t get the surprise valet etc charges. Great hotel overall

I recently stayed at The Lancaster Hotel and I couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The historic charm of the hotel, built in 1926, adds an extra layer of character to the experience. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, making me feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect. Special thanks to Alexis for his outstanding service and attention to detail. The hotel's location in the heart of the theatre district was also a major plus, with plenty of entertainment options just steps away.I especially enjoyed unwinding in the evenings at the hotel's cocktail lounge, indulging in delicious drinks and soaking in the elegant ambiance. Overall, my stay at The Lancaster Hotel exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience in Houston. Five stars all the way!

Have stayed at the Lancaster several times, and it is a beautiful boutique hotel with generally impeccable service that is hard to find these days! For this visit we stayed at the “producers suite” and it is a beautiful, large room. However we immediately noticed a very musty smell coming from the HVAC, almost gassy smelling. The maintenance crew did come right away, it did get a little better, but then came back for the remainder of our stay. Surprisingly no one really followed up with us, if we were ok. We made it work, but given the cost of staying in such a room, I expected better.

The service here is amazing. The staff is heavily focused on satisfaction and going above and beyond. The issues I had were regarding everything else ultimately feeling like the price of the room doesn’t match what I would hope to find. As others have mentioned, the room is dated. The bathroom shower pressure is minimal and the handle twirls around. The listing noted of a fridge but the only one was the one filled with complimentary snacks. It was so small that it could not accommodate leftovers or full size drinks. Essentially everything outside of the room including the breakfast was great. The room itself was disappointing. The noise level around the room was also difficult at night. I was hoping for something more.

Wonderful room. The restaurant is nice with a good bartender, although the menu is a bit limited. Coffee service and free snacks in the rooms are great. The front desk staff was oddly distanced and not very helpful or friendly. I was there for business but would stay again for leisure.

Rooms were clean, and nice but outdated. Better lighting and ventilation are needed in the bathrooms, and the temperature in the room was all over the place. The bed was super comfy, and the guest service is top tier. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant or at the bar, but the breakfast buffet in the mornings is pretty amazing. They have fresh honeycomb, coffee, juice, bread service, eggs, you name it, it was there. The location is perfect. We nearly walked everywhere we wanted to go! Overall I highly recommend checking this place out, it was a pleasant, quiet stay.
