The room is so spacious and comfortable. I adored the bed and the shower. I had the most amazing sleep ever with the soft king size bed. Also the shower was so beautiful. I really enjoyed the amount of space for the sink, it helped set up my items. The staff were so helpful and always so kind. The mood for this hotel is young and luxurious. I appreciated that mostly adults stayed at this hotel. A plus was that there were robots to do deliveries! My only complaint is I don’t like that they charge your card a fee. In the case that any damages is done; they can charge the card on file. I did get a refund the next day I checked out. Another thing is that’s far from most tourists activities. So I did have to do a lot of walking when I didn’t take a taxi. Although, that isn’t something the hotel can fix. I would stay here again, the luxury I felt here was amazing!
This solid, upscale Hotel is in a great location with great service. Checking in and out was fast and efficient, with great personal touches by Aubrey and Gwen. Rooms are small but efficient, clean, and well-appointed. The restaurant and bar were good for a quick dinner before an event. The location cannot be beat, as it is walking distance or a short Uber ride from so much in Streeterville, Mag Mile, and beyond.
Love the design of this hotel. Location is perfect... Located on quiet street short walk from tons of shopping on Michigan and State/or short walk-run to lake for a beautiful run on the trail.
The location is PERFECT, and the restaurant food was absolutely delicious—even the room service was exceptional! The robots were amazing to witness, adding such a unique touch to the experience. The front desk staff was exceptional, and I have to give a major shout-out to the manager, Cedric. His professionalism and 5-star customer service truly stood out throughout our entire stay. Everything was top tier, and we can't wait to come back VERY SOON! Thank you, EMC2 Chicago, for an unforgettable experience!
I would be very hesitant to stay here. Upon our arrival at 3:30 PM, we were met with a line of people trying to check in. When it was our turn, we were told we couldn't check in due to a problem with the hotel reservation system. We patiently waited in the lobby for over two hours, during which time we observed a growing line of frustrated guests also unable to check in. As I was scheduled to race in the Chicago Marathon the following morning, this delay caused considerable stress. At 6 PM, we complained about being unable to check in and received a $25 drink coupon, which we used at the hotel bar. However, during this time, my card received multiple pending charges: $100, $460, $100, $227, and finally, the total for the two-night stay of $1,155. When I inquired about these charges at the front desk, I was informed they were for a security deposit, but I received no clear explanation for the multiple amounts—just that the system was having issues and that it should only be one security deposit. I was reassured that everything would go back on my card eventually, but the overall experience was frustrating and confusing. The pending charges even included an additional $688.I've tried calling the hotel many times to speak with the general manager, but I've often been placed on hold for anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Additionally, our checkout process took longer than anticipated, taking 25 minutes instead of the expected 15. We had scheduled a Lyft accordingly, but because the checkout took longer than anticipated, we missed our ride and incurred additional costs. Overall, the entire experience was disappointing and stressful, and I cannot recommend staying here.
We loved the Hotel EMC2! The restaurant, lobby, and rooms were very nice and clean. As a boutique hotel, the rooms had interesting unique and modern touches. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious. The property was very quiet and comfortable and within walking distance of a lot of attractions and shopping on Michigan Avenue. There were a lot of different restaurants around to choose from. We did end up valeting our car, which I didn’t find to be too much more than the self park and it was very convenient. Our only complaint was the lighting and housekeeping. Each separate lamp in the room was controlled by its own push light switch, but unfortunately they all didn’t work well. Our reading light had to be manipulated to actually turn off, and a bedside lamp wouldn’t turn off all the way both nights. Our last morning at the hotel, housekeeping came to our room THREE separate times before 9am knocking on the door to clean. I found that to be ridiculous and honestly annoying. My biggest advice- use the Do Not Disturb sign any time you are in your room.We used Marriott points on this stay, however, we really would recommend this property and would stay again.
This was an amazing stay, and I will definitely be staying here again! I loved the vibes of the room, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the warm lighting and the different lights I could control. As someone who gets headaches almost daily, I loved the dark colors in the room and the ambient lighting. As a black woman, I didn't know if I would like the rainfall shower head, but it was great, and my hair didn't get wet!!! The hotel is in a great location. I also liked that there was an Alexa in the room that I could use to request for the room to be cleaned, etc. Also, when I arrived, the room smelled very clean. I always wipe everything down in hotels, but there was pretty much no need to because everything was already so clean.
We stayed here from 9/6-9/8 and booked a king city view room. We checked in and were put in a queen room with no view. When we told them that we had a queen bed, the staff pretended to not notice the difference at check-in.Then they stated the only available room with a king was an accessible room with no view. We booked this reservation weeks in advance and to not have a selected room available was ridiculous. We tried to change to the accessible room and the bathroom was dirty. We ended up staying in the queen room and were told the manager would make adjustments in the morning. We were never contacted to receive assistance and adjustments weren’t made during our stay. We had a late check-in 9/6 and checked out at 5am on 9/8. We were told that the manager would fix it and we would not be checked out until there was an adjustment as we paid for a king room and had to stay in a queen with no view.It is now 9/11 and there was no follow up. We called about the issue and staff were not concerned about the inconvenience or poor service we experienced. Then we were told they could refund $50 total from the price when the price difference between the king we selected and queen we received is about $50 daily. We received free points but that is not comparable compensation and would have just wanted the price adjustment.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and would never stay at an Autograph again! To put us in a queen and think we would not notice was the first problem. The lack of care, accountability, and action to rectify the situation at a hotel that cost us $800 for two nights is disappointing.
This hotel is not only luxury, but top tier luxury! The hotel and the rooms are stunning, the location is absolutely perfect, rooms were spotless and the bed was super comfortable. But what makes this hotel the absolute best in Chicago is truly their staff! Their attention to detail is like no other. From the bellman Gino, to Claire and Emily at the front desk, to all of the housekeeping team who are always so friendly and keep the rooms spotless, to Michelle and Sharon in reservations to Jasmine in Sales and even the General Manager Robert! The staff here are unparalleled. They each took the time to personally sign a birthday card for me along with a very thoughtful bottle of champagne and even a small gift packaged in a box in my favorite color! I have stayed at this hotel a few times before and I always have such a great time and so I decided to celebrate my birthday with them this year. All I can say is WOW!! Not only did they do something extra special for my birthday but they had also hand written a “Welcome Back” card with a small Nobu bear for my furry son, Yoshi, who always travels with me. All of these things truly blew me away. But what also really amazed me is how they welcomed me and Yoshi every time we came back from a walk. How Hendrick was always quick to offer a hand when I was walking through the lobby with my hands full. And how every evening when I would arrive back from dinner, James at the front desk would walk me to the elevator to ask how my birthday trip was going and wish me a good evening. I will stay nowhere else but the Nobu Hotel Chicago anytime I am in town. And trust me, if you want to stay in a luxury hotel in a prime location with the best staff in the city, this is the only hotel for you! Thank you to the entire team for making this one of the most special birthdays! I am looking forward to coming back again soon!
I had the pleasure of staying at the Nobu Hotel Chicago last week and I highly recommend it! The service was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made my stay unforgettable. The hotel itself is modern and extremely clean, which contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. There are great restaurants and bars in the area, and the city center is just a 20-30 minute walk away. A great choice for anyone looking to stay in Chicago!
Seems like they should be more open about thumping music and loud traffic. My standard for a hotel is a good night sleep. Period. If they can’t deliver a peaceful environment, just tell me before I spend $800 a night.Update: After communication with mgmt the following day, they were very accommodating and quick to try to improve my stay. While the hotel is dealing with a difficult neighbor, their response was first rate.
I just spent a long weekend at the Nobu Hotel in Chicago and it was fantastic! The valet parking was great, I was in & out every day without a problem. All staff including James at the front desk were extremely welcoming and professional. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location could not have been better. Many options to eat and drink steps away. I didn't get a chance to eat at restaurant or visit the rooftop, but I'll make a point to visit both next time. Because The Nobu Hotel is where I'll stay the next time I'm in Chicago.
Stayed here at the end of June in 2024. Room and common areas were very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were good, both on the main floor restaurant and rooftop. Favorite part is the West Loop location. Walkable to amazing restaurants and shops. Only criticism would be a hotel of this cost you’d think it’d have spa services. There is a pool, sauna and fitness room, though.
This is by far one of my top favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was absolutely amazing. Emily was in contact with me to help set up our room for a special occasion and was beyond helpful. Jules at the rooftop lounge was so wonderful. They made our breakfast dining experience pleasant. My fiancé and I had such a great experience with the staff, that we are looking to stay at Nobu hotels on our international travels as well. Thank you all for helping to make an unfortunate circumstance my fiance and I were experiencing, into a fun and memorable weekend.
