We paid for a room with a balcony. There is no balcony...and the man at the customer service desk was wearing a hat indoors. In Texas. Thou shalt not.

Absolutely everything we want in a luxury hotel stay!! So clean, quiet, peaceful, accommodating, and luxurious. The beauty and uniqueness alone of this hotel is worth booking. You need to experience Bowie House! I lounged by the pool midday while sipping an elderflower spritz and munching on za’taar fries. The ambiance was perfect. In the evening I enjoyed one of the best espresso martinis in all of Fort Worth in the “library” section of the bar. The bar is a must-see and experience! Then we had steak, champagne, and wine at the restaurant. There is no need to leave the property, the best experiences are on-site! I’ll try the spa next time. Shout out to Andrew, the front of house manager, who was so polite and accommodating. Thank you Bowie House, we celebrated our anniversary in pure luxury!!

Bar:If you have taste, stay away. Bartenders are of Fort Worth in the worst way- a Martini order gets you a pour of shaken straight vodka, Vermouth and Gin are foreign language here.Beware the Michellen mention, the review was not gotten by virtue.

Big tan of the Commodore Auberge location in Austin and excited that we had an Auberge closer to home . Celebrated our 18 year anniversary here and couldn't have been a better way to celebrate it . From our arrival treats to checkout, everything was beyond our expectations! Especially nowadays when service is lacking in the hospitality industry, BH gets it right. The hotel is gorgeous and tastefully decorated , you can definitely feel like youre in Ft Worth. Also had fun looking at all the art scattered throughout the hotel . We will definitely come back!

Absolute perfection! We chose Bowie House for our 25th anniversary trip and it proved more than worthy of our milestone occasion. The staff was lovely throughout and seemed extremely happy to be there. That positivity and spirit permeated the entire hotel. The pool was sparkling clean and delightful, especially on hot August afternoons. Avery out at the pool made sure we felt taken care of and worked hard to make sure everything was just right for us. We never made it to the spa, but it looked incredible. The hotel is perfectly located in the Arts District and incredibly adept at combining truly authentic Texas touches with modern elegance. Every detail thought out and executed perfectly, exceeding expectations for a five-star hotel. The restaurant and in-room dining delivered on the same promise with delicious and interesting selections and warm, capable service. The artwork throughout was clearly carefully chosen and not only added to the charm and charisma of the hotel, it was also a nod to the nearby museum community.Cherry on top was the fantastic shower with a nice, tall shower head, uncomplicated controls, and dreamy water pressure. Can’t overlook a great shower! We are local to DFW and can see an annual trip to Bowie House to celebrate our anniversary for years to come! Highly recommend!

We are locals, but stayed here for a nearby concert last night. This place is fantastic. The rooms and amenities are beautiful and the service is impeccable. But what surprised me was the food. We'll come back here just to eat. We sampled lots of stuff from the menu and all of it was other-worldly delicious. An excellent experience.
I went along with a buddy to take the tour of the artworks which populate this "hotel". I say that because the vibe of the place is more like a fancy, yet Bohemian in its arty diversity, house, than a typical modern hotel. Make no mistake, this is an upscale (read: expensive, though my tour was free) well appointed hotel with all the amenities and super service you'd expect, just funkier. And quite pleasant.

The hotel is quiet , has amazing art, absolutely delicious food, and I was very familiar with the bar here! It was an overall amazing stay. My only thorn was purchasing the best room and not receiving a balcony , nor having a room with a better view. All in all, if you enjoy privacy , art, and luxury then you should definitely consider the this hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I recently stayed at Bowie House, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout my entire stay. The hotel has an incredible art collection that is thoughtfully displayed at every turn. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and elegantly decorated with modern amenities. The restaurant offered many delicious choices, including a variety of healthy items. Last but not least, the hotel's spa provided a serene escape with its range of treatments and a beautiful infrared sauna.

I had high hopes but honestly, this is not a 4 star. Maybe a 3. Positives: bed very comfy, large bathroom, large well-equipped gym. Location is good if you are at a conference downtown.Negatives: my room wasn’t cleaned on my second day. I messaged the hotel to say this was the case and asking them to clean it but when I got back to my room at 8pm it hadn’t been done. I called and they apologized (what else could they do) but not having housekeeping clean a room is pretty unacceptable. Carpet was not super clean in the first place and the thermostat was so strange - it basically got locked on a cold temp and was very difficult to change.restaurant = bad. Sorry. The server was literally eating his breakfast when I asked for a table and proceeded to chew with his mouth full while taking my order. No thanks.I made the hotel front desk aware of my feedback re: room cleaning - hopefully they improve they can attention to detail in future.

If you need to be near Sundance Square in Fort Worth and you are a IHG Diamond member do not go anywhere else. This place makes you feel like you are well to do. The staff is familiar yet gracious. I got a suite upgrade. I could live in the bathroom…The food is on point .Valet is at $48 a night but the price of the room balances that out..

I checked in Saturday night for a week’s stay. I was unfortunately put in a room next to the elevator. It is so loud because it’s a beautiful historic building and the elevators are old. I tried to tolerate it for two nights, but because I’m here for a week, and I need to sleep early for the conference, I called the front desk and spoke with Brianne. She was SUPER accommodating and moved me immediately. She is so lovely. Along with the great staff at breakfast that keep my coffee flowing and are always smiling. This service is why we always seek out an IHG and specifically a Kimpton. We could’ve stayed anywhere and I’m glad we chose here. Also, great location. Only a few blocks from the convention center and a lot of great restaurants and coffee shops.

I don’t understand how this is considered a 4 star hotel.Upon arrival, our room thermostat was locked and it was 80 degrees inside the room. I called to the front desk and was told that sometimes the thermostat does that so they would have to set the temperature from the downstairs control room. Anytime I wanted to change the temperature I had to call the front desk! The bathroom is large but only had one outlet. The outlet was covered with an “X” of scotch tape. I guess that means not to use it 🤷‍♀️. I dried my hair using the room outlet without a mirror. The carpet was dingy and had multiple stains. I know this is a very pretty friendly hotel and the stains appear to be from animals. I love that the hotel is per friendly, even though I didn’t bring a pet, but they need to be able to clean up after accidents! Carpet is probably a bad idea in a pet friendly hotel. It was gross!!🤢The good news, the bed was comfortable! And the staff was nice! The location is nice too if you have to be in Ft. Worth. My next stay in Ft. Worth will definitely be at a different hotel!

An excellent stay! This is the first IHG “premium” hotel we’ve stayed at that is actually premium! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional, including Anthony, the valet service manager (and his team) the gentleman that checked us in (Jake? Not sure.), bartenders Tori and Zack, who also prepared some really excellent cocktails, and the server Janelle who took great care of us at breakfast, where the food was also very good. The facility, located in a historic building, is clean and well maintained. The room (suite) we had was clean, modern, and furnished well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The only criticism I have is about the crazy thermostat! I suggest an instruction card be left in each room. All in all, a great stay - we’ll be back. The management of the Voco in Chicago and especially the Indigo in Frisco should be required to study the operations here!

I loved this historic hotel. The reception area is beautiful with a great view. Front desk staff was wonderful. Luxury toiletries and fluffy linens and robes. The bed was extremely comfortable. Just wish there was a coffee maker in the room.

Hands downI was once a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member, but my recent experience has completely changed my perspective. My husband and I traveled to Fort Worth for a family emergency, and during this difficult time, Sean and Wayne have been incredible. The emotional strain has been immense, but the level of care we've received here has been truly remarkable. Additionally, we recently welcomed a new baby, and the support from the staff has been outstanding.I cannot praise this hotel enough. It has made me reconsider my long-standing loyalty to Marriott and Hyatt. Kimpton offers a unique, boutique atmosphere and has gone above and beyond to ensure not only our comfort but also that of our 4-year-old daughter, our nanny, and our newborn. The countless thoughtful touches make this place stand out from the usual corporate hotels. It feels more personal and genuine, with everyone from the bellman to the bartenders and front desk staff showing they genuinely care.I am absolutely thrilled with our stay. Whenever we return to Fort Worth, there’s no question—we’ll be staying here again.
