Not what we expected and definitely not like other Comfort Inns we've stayed in. Need major upgrades. I did however like that the TV was on the wall and there was a microwave in the room. The room and common areas had a funny smell to it. With upgrades the hotel will be better.
Our experience was a disaster from the start. Beginning with check-in the person at the counter couldn’t tell me if I paid for my room or not, which I did pre-pay for my room. Very odd with such a large hotel chain. The first room that we were in, had a musty, moldy smell, and had stains on the carpet. Which I found out a friend of ours who was staying at the same hotel had moved out of that room the night before because of the musty, moldy smell and the stain on the carpet. We requested to be moved into another room, not as bad as the first, but also smelled like mold in the bathroom. The real problem was the visible mold on the air conditioning unit. Unfortunate for me, I’m very allergic to mold and began to get sick during this stay. The hotel was completely booked so we could not switch rooms again. After multiple times of asking them to clean the air conditioning unit of the mold, nothing was done. And I was told that I had to put my complaints to an email because the manager was not in on the weekend. All I asked for was bleach to clean the air conditioning unit and they could not accommodate me. So I had to go to the store and get my own bleach so that I could actually sleep that night without Benadryl. I will definitely be reporting to the health department. It is absurd the they can’t chain the air filters and disinfect the air conditioning vents.
I guess I’ll start off by saying this is by far one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a comfort inn… I’m an elite diamond member with choice hotels as I travel often for my job. When you walk in, at first it seems clean enough. The lady at the front desk was new but still got us checked in pretty quick. I accidentally booked the room with the jacuzzi which was fine. Upon walking in the room seemed pretty clean. Felt like making some popcorn in the micro I had brought with me from another hotel. Of course the microwave wasn’t working and I found out quickly why. Opening and closing the microwave door scared a cockroach out of hiding that was in between the glass of the microwave… upon further inspection, there was a big cockroach leg stuck inside where the door latches shut. I was disgusted… Had the gentlemen at the front desk come and look in which upon him coming in and showing him the microwave ANOTHER little baby cockroach was just chilling there inside. He took pictures which I hope he will show the manager of this establishment… As I was being moved to another room. My friend saw another bigger cockroach go scurrying across the table upon picking up his wallet… All in all this places is nasty. The pictures I posted were the room where we were moved into after the cockroach room… These cleaning people are lazy and do next to nothing when it comes to cleaning. All I had to do was pull a bit of furniture back and you can see it hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in years… This is just plain laziness… crumbs under the nightstand and trash behind the fridge… Needless to say won’t ever be staying at this place again. NASTY! So if you like sleeping with roaches and trash in your room this is the place for you 🤢

As soon as we arrived, we were not greeted in a welcoming manner. The man at the desk asked me if I wanted the jacuzzi. I was confused because I had already prepaid for a room with a king bed and jacuzzi. He kept asking me if I was sure I wanted it and then said only one room with a jacuzzi was left and two more customers who were arriving that night wanted them. He said he wasn't sure how they overbooked. I don't understand why he explained the operational errors with me. I also didn't appreciate him trying to convince me to take a room with just a king bed, I'm not sure why other guests would be more important than me. Unprofessional. As far as the room goes, it clearly smelled like cigarette smoke. My husband and I both have asthma so this was very irritating. Due to my experience at the front desk, I felt there was no use brining up this issue. Additionally, the room was dirty. The bathroom was visibly dirty, including the jacuzzi. I had to wipe it out before using it. The bed runner had crusty stains on it. One of the lamps didn't work. The ironing board was busted. One or two of these things could have been excusable but the combination of this just shows an overall lack of care and effort.I will never return to a comfort inn or any choice hotels again.
