We booked a seance just before the hurricanes came through. Tim communicated with us right away and alerted us that it would be postponed. He sent new time and details promptly. I experienced my first seance in this beautiful home. It was cozy, homey with the right amount of spooky. The rooms are beautifully decorated and modern with a Victorian essence and the property is expansive. It’s a charming venue to hold a shower, bachelorette/bachelor or birthday party. They are located between Clearwater and Tampa so you have easy access to the best of both city and beach.Your hosts Tim and Steve are warm and welcoming. They make you feel as if you are visiting old friends. Welcoming you with a tour of their home a cocktail and delicious home baked treats.Brian was our medium leading us through the group seance. Brian was funny and colorful with lots of character. I enjoyed his stories just as much as the readings. You should definitely consider staying here and booking some of the extra curricular activities.
Steve and Tim are a joy😄 and make sure the guests feel comfortable and welcome at the Phanthom History House. We loved the special touch and attention to our breakfast morning experience.
We were greeted with a spooky, creepy, Halloween atmosphere outside witch (lol) put a huge smile on our faces. As we proceeded to approach the home entrance we were welcomed by two very tall skeletons that looked to be two stories tall. We knocked on the door and were greeted by the owners Steve and Tim. Absolutely wonderful hosts. They gave us a tour of their elaborate B and B. Every room had its own amazing spooky fun theme. Every room looked outstanding with lots of detail obviously paid attention to. The breakfast every morning was perfect. We attended a party on our last night there and they had a beautiful spread laid out for all the guests. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who would enjoy a unique, wonderful staycation. We would not hesitate staying there again.
Just got home from a wonderful party held at PHH! I can’t say enough good things about the owners- they were the very best hosts! Steve even told stories, late night, by the firepit. We spent the night in the ouija room- it was comfortable , spacious, and the black curtains helped me stay asleep an hour past my normal wake up time! Highly recommend!
This place has everything you could expect and more, me being an amature ghost listener. I stayed in the Castle 🏰 room. I had a great experience and can't wait for the upcoming events
I would first like to say, Tim and Steve are absolutely lovely, they were very accomodating and easy to work with. Their home was the perfect location for me to host my Murder Mystery party. The home is elegant and very much on theme. The space and the rooms are clean. The Themed rooms are very well thought out and my guests had an amazing time. I would very much host another event here.
I've been to Phantom History House on a few occasions for events. I ADORE this place. Not only are the hosts, Tim & Steve, the most personable people ever, but the house itself is so welcoming.Each room is clean, artfully decorated to fit the theme, and the location is quiet. The house smells amazing because Tim is always making goodies!If I could rent a room for a month, I would. Tim & Steve... Need a roomie??
Hands down the best B&B experience I’ve had in years! The Phantom History House is absolutely stunning, with absolutely every possible guest need thought of! Incredibly comfortable bedding , spacious themed rooms, amazing amenities, and homemade treats to die for! Steve & Tim are absolutely phenomenal hosts and I’m already counting the days until I can come back and visit!

Roost rocks! Thank you to the staff for making our stay memorable. I felt at home and appreciate the customer service. We were there for 10 days and there were no issues and my husband and I felt at home.
We recently stayed here at the Roost. We chose the 1 BD/1 BT with Balcony. It was a perfect stay. I love the efficient and high-quality kitchen appliances. The shower was amazing - so much good water pressure. The bed was comfortable and there was a white noise device for use next to the bed for great sleep enhancement. The balcony was a great retreat to sit and listen to the bustle of the city. The place reminded us of being in Europe, which we loved. The location is the great and right across the street from our favorite wine bar and coffee/breakfast spot. Close to everything and within walking distance. We parked our car Thursday night and didn't have to use the car again until our departure on Sunday evening. We stayed for an event at Amalie Arena and this was a perfect spot. We have stayed at the Edition hotel before, but this will be our go to spot from now on.
We had an amazing time in Tampa, hugely due to where we stayed while in town. The ROOST Tampa had all of the amenities that make traveling with a toddler for 5 days less of a hassle, from a dishwasher for sanitizing pacifiers, bottles and other toddler foodware to a washer and dryer for soiled clothes and linens. We also really enjoyed the surrounding area, it was so nice to be able to walk to most of the places we planned to visit and grab a bite to eat from the nearby restaurants without the rush of trying to get everyone in the car or find parking. The staff responded and handled any requests that we had professionally and promptly. We will definitely consider staying here in the future if ever in Tampa again.

And lastly, the location in the heart of Water Street is perfect — proximate to all of the city’s best restaurants, arts/cultural and entertainment amenities, 15 minutes from the airport, an full of local energy.
