We came down to the French Quarter Inn for a mini vacation after Christmas. We absolutely love staying here because the staff is friendly, the rooms are amazing and the amenities are top notch. Plus the location in the heart of downtown, allows us to explore the city with ease.My family has stayed here many times before, and we’ve always enjoyed it. I recommend this hotel to anyone willing to pay a little more and experience the charm of Charleston and the FQI. We will definitely be back again!

I would love to give this place a five star but some things can’t allow me to do if. Our room was very nice until it rained . T carpet got soa and made it uncomfortable to walk around. Had to put towels down and still was soaking wet. Also, our bathroom was clean except for extremely dusty vents and a moldy shower. There was reddish mold on walls that would come right off and slimy. Some things in bathroom like toilet paper holder and door knob was about to break off. Beautiful bathroom just not clean shower at all. I had to clean it best i could before using. Service was amazing and most were very nice and courteous. Elevator was quite dirty on floor and can tell it was not wiped down or cleaned regularly unfortunately. Food was very good and offered all sorts of things for their guests. Will definitely come back! Loved the customer service and the employees!!!! Especially Toby! The housekeepingladies were so nice and courteous. They deserve the five stars!!!!

An Enchanting Escape for Two at the French Quarter InnMy recent getaway to the French Quarter Inn with my fiancé was a fairytale experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm embrace of Southern hospitality and charm, making it the perfect destination for a romantic escape. As we entered the inn, we were in awe of its timeless beauty, seamlessly blending modern luxury with the historic charm of Charleston. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel like cherished guests, a sentiment that made us feel right at home. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance. The spacious Italian marble bathroom was a highlight, and the seven-pillow menu and evening turndown service with Charleston treats added a touch of magic to our evenings. But the real star of our stay was the mattress. It was so incredibly comfortable that we couldn't resist asking the concierge desk about it. They were kind enough to share the details, and we promptly ordered one for our own home – it was that good! The French Quarter Inn's central location allowed us to explore Charleston effortlessly, from historic sites to charming streets. The complimentary breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese, and delightful cookies and milk were just the icing on the cake. Our visit to the French Quarter Inn was truly a romantic dream come true. It's a place where the past meets the present, where Southern hospitality reigns supreme, and where every moment is filled with pampering and delight. We left with hearts full of cherished memories and a longing to return soon. This enchanting inn has secured a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to create more unforgettable moments there.

In a world where excellent customer service seems to have gone the way of the dodo, it was a pleasure to discover that excellence in the hospitality industry is still alive and well at the Spectator (and Charleston). From booking to check out, the Spectator provided an impeccable and sophisticated experience at every turn. Every member of the hotel staff we encountered was friendly, gratuitous, and kind, which helped to make us instantly feel at home. Our courtyard king room was gorgeous, complete with steam shower and deep soaking tub. Our days started with a leisurely breakfast (included) in bed, or in our private courtyard, and ended with nightly turn down service which included a little chocolate night cap. The hotel is in the perfect location to walk to all the premier restaurants and key attractions the historic district of Charleston has to offer. The ambiance and craft cocktails in the hotel bar are not to be missed. I would highly recommend the Spectator to anyone who is looking for a special hotel experience. I know this visit has guaranteed my return to the Spectator hotel in the future.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been at a hotel that hits it out of the park, and the spectator delivers! If this hotel shows up in your search, consider it done and stay here! So many fun little extras other reviews mention, but rooms are silent, service is exceptional, breakfast is delicious!

We stayed for 4 nights beginning of December for our anniversary and I don't have a single complaint. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Chuck and Jim were both suoer friendly and knowledgeable about Charleston and made fresh suggestions. Perfect location for walking and breakfast delivered to the room every morning was a plus. Will be happy to return.

Chose this hotel on the recommendation of a friend and it was fantastic! Upon arrival we were greeted by Dustin the butler who brought us complimentary cocktails in the lounge while he brought our bags up to the room. The room had thoughtful touches like plenty of charging ports and an electronics sanitizer. The bathroom was amazing, a heated towel rack and a massive shower. Also, the hotel toiletries were wonderful. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast with a choice of 5 things that you can have in your room or in the lounge. We had breakfast brought to our room and it arrived on time every day. The nightly turndown service also included a tiny chocolate cup filled with a different liquor every night! The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, carriage tours, and shopping. The service was impeccable, I have never had such considerate housekeeping. Instead of knocking on the door, they texted when we were in the room later asking what time we would like the housekeeper to clean. 100% recommend this hotel!

Words can not describe how incredible our stay was. We just checked out this morning and I'm writing this review while sitting at the gate for my flight. That's how fast I wanted to write this review. 10/10 would come back in a heartbeat. The staff, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. Rose at the bar was the absolute best and we had a great time hanging out with her. Darryl, our butler was a joy to speak with and just put a smile on your face with his presence. I'm sad our trip has come to an end because just staying here was enough to make me want to come back to visit. Thank you to all of the staff! We'll miss all of you
