I do not recommend booking a room here. The man that answered the phone was extremely rude to me and the information they provided was not clear at all. Also they have parties all the time so if you’re actually trying to get some rest, don’t go here or anywhere around here.EDIT: I know that Flora responded to this saying that the man on the phone was not rude to me but clearly he wasn’t listening to me because I didn’t ask them to turn the music down, I asked them to turn the BASS down and that’s completely different. The music is fine, it was the HEAVY BASS that was literally shaking our house. He kept interrupting me and not listening to me which made me feel very sad and disrespected. You need to have someone on the phone that knows how to talk to people. He clearly doesn’t understand the difference between turning down the music and turning down the bass. I am a DJ so I know how that works…I really hope Flora sticks to their response and respects the rest of the community that lives around them because it doesn’t matter if your music is played during hours that are appropriate if the bass levels are literally shaking the houses around you. That’s all 💋

I spent seven days at the Flora House over last Thanksgiving. It was wonderful! Great location, terrific staff, ample amenities and a very comfortable and quiet house which is a testament tovintage building skills and mindful upkeep. I would recommend the Flora House in an instant for anyone looking for real comfort and charm in Denver. I would also recommend the "Silver Fern" suite for an extended stay with its extra kitchen set-up. It was perfect!!

I brought my husband with me this time. What a lovely place to relax and visit our daughter and her family!!!This was a perfect place for me. My daughter live just around the corner and watched it being remodeled. They did a conscious job of keeping the old-style atmosphere and updating the essentials. The host was engaging and respectful, and she took time to see my needwere met. The inn keeper was available and not underfoot. The breakfast bakes were very tasty and the fruit freh.I would have liked my bed made an towrls refreshed daily, but it was not a problem worth addressing. The update was done quite tastefully,. I loved the tile they selected. It was very pleasant mixture of modern convenience and antique high class!

Flora House was an oasis off (the good part) of Colfax 😉 It was within walking distance of the Bluebird theater (about 1 mile) and we felt safe walking back late at night after the performance. There were many great restaurants on the way to and from the theater - Blue Pan Pizza! - if you're willing to walk. The home itself was inviting from the very beginning and easy to navigate. Instructions sent before our stay were detailed and clear. Rooms were beautiful and immaculate, like the rest of the home. They ask that you remove your shoes upon entering, which was comfortable for us. We met the wonderful innkeepers the next morning at breakfast. Don't let the "continental breakfast" scare you off. It was a large, beautiful spread and very satisfying. Again, there are restaurants within walking distance if you need meat and eggs. We enjoyed our breakfast on the the gorgeous flagstone patio, shaded by beautiful trees. Literally an oasis of green and flowers off of Colfax. It was a wonderful stay and we will return when in the area. They also have a parking lot for the guests.

We absolutely loved our stay at the flora house! The innkeepers were so friendly, and it was clear that so much love was put into this place. It felt like an oasis in the city, a safe place to be. The garden and all the plants were definitely my favorite part of the stay. We will definitely be returning!

This place is perfect! Such a unique and beautiful house. Walking distance to many places. If you are going to a red rocks show the shuttle picks up at illegal Pete's literally right down the road. Love the courtyard/garden area. Everyone we encountered during our stay were so pleasant! The inn keepers, the owner, the employees that made breakfast....they were all wonderful! Also don't skip on the free passes to the Denver botanical gardens. That was really a neat experience!! Would definitely recommend this place and we will be back next time we are in the area!!
Flora House is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, it's evident that the owner has poured their heart and soul into every detail. The Orchid Suite, where we stayed, was not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a long day. The hot tub was an absolute highlight, offering a luxurious way to unwind and relax. Jen and the staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay, offering wonderful options and extras that truly elevated our experience. It was a delightful getaway that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Flora House is definitely a place we'll be returning to again and again.

Immaculately clean. The mattresses suck. Weekdays are cool but the street gets pretty loud on weekends til early morning hours. Definitely take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper in case you get a street facing room.

I stayed here this past week as I had a conference in Denver. This hostel was such a good find. The staff were so kind and helpful, and made our stay very comfortable. The front desk is staffed 24×7, and they helped us with any requests. Would love to revisit and stay here again.

I stayed with my mom at the 11th Avenue Hostel (her first time ever staying in a hostel!), and we both really enjoyed our stay. The hostel itself is beautiful, with great architecture, cute decor, and very clean spaces—I was amazed by how spotless the community areas were! It's in a neighborhood where everything is within walking distance, which was great. It was also fun to come back from dinner and grab ice cream from their cafe at the end of the night (we loved their coffee too!). We would definitely stay here again!

We've stayed here several times after late shows in Denver/Red Rocks and will likely never stay anywhere else at this point. Why would we? The place is spotless, the staff is kind, and they have the best rates in town for a comfy and safe night's sleep. It's really a great value no matter which room type you book. Sure, it can be a noisy neighborhood, but that's what earplugs are for - and if you didn't bring your own, they offer them free at the front desk.We have needed to check in after 1am a few times, and the front desk staff is always so accommodating. And it's nice to know the place is locked up and looked after. And the charm can't be beat. The common spaces are chic and clean and comfortable, and knowing you're supporting a family owned business is a nice bonus. We look forward to staying here for all our future Denver adventures. 🙂

Visited Denver with a group of friends and were looking for a place to stay while we explored the city. 11th Ave was highly recommended, mostly due to it's location and the hostel environment.Really enjoyed the stay. It's bang in the middle of the city, with almost everything close by, literally walkable and also extremely well connected with public transportation. They have tie-ups with places close by, like the Pizza Store next door that offers a 10% discount for hostel guests. We were even recommended a great parking spot, literally a couple of minutes away with a discounted price of $10 a day. They've got a coffee and dessert place within the premises and also ample space to sit and work, if needed. Add to that a decent kitchen as well as common area to relax, hang out or meet new folks and this was one of the best hostel experiences I've had.

Rooms and community areas were very clean and comfortable. The hotel/hostel is very simple and bare bones but had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The service was excellent and the front desk was always available to assist and to answer any questions you may have. I stayed here for a course hosted by the hotel and it was an excellent place to stay with so many restaurants and options for eating and entertainment nearby. The street can be noisy at night and the front desk has headphones, I also suggest using white noise if you have a room at the front of the hotel above the club. I did feel safe during the daytime as a female traveling solo. Overall an excellent experience.
