I came to sol7 Thomson hotel in Houston Tx for happy hour and I was pleased with the service and the staff. The staff was very professional and was definitely tentative to the guest. My server/bartender miss Jada was amazing. I order the sol 7 margaritas and it was definitely a must have drink. When you have a moment stop by for happy hour and ask for Jada.

One of the nicest, if not the best, hotels in Houston. Especially for the value. The service was excellent. From the valet & butler, check-in process to our breakfast waitress at sol 7. The pool area is magnificent too. Special thank you to Jerry, who went above & beyond for us accommodating last minute dinner plans. Such a great stay. Will definitely be back.

Overall it's a nice new hotel property visually (opened in January). The view and the pool are nice. That's where it ends. The service is terrible - hotel staff, restaurant, pool...all completely unacceptable. It was confusing how such an expensive (false luxury) hotel has such terrible service. IMPORTANT: watch out for the variety of hidden fees. Add an additional $100-$150 a night on top of published room rate. There 7 different service and/or tax fees added. The spa adds 21% service fee and requests an additional 20% gratuity...what? The bill for poolside drinks included a hidden 20% as well. Not worth the money. So many better quality and service oriented hotels to choose from.

I must share, this hotel went above and beyond with customer service. Every staff member we talked to was kind and helpful. Our son left his stuffed Dino in the room & we didn’t notice until we returned home. Called them and they said they had it and Glen & the security staff ensured it got to our home in just a few days! We will definitely stay again and tell our friends and family about our great experience there!

I recently celebrated a milestone birthday at the Thompson Hotel in Houston, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. It had been about 25 years since I last visited Houston, so I relied heavily on online reviews to choose the right hotel. Despite some mixed reviews, I decided to go with the Thompson Hotel, and I am thrilled that I did.The pre-arrival experience was promising, with Mary, the Front Desk Director, and Sam assuring me that I would be well taken care of. They certainly did not disappoint. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the king room, especially the bathroom and overall aesthetics. The concierge team, along with Victor, the Director, made my birthday extra special with gold balloons on my bed and a bottle of wine. The next two nights, I stayed in the Sky Suite, which was simply breathtaking. The separate living area and the stunning bathroom, particularly the bathtub, left me in awe.The attention to detail and the small touches really made a difference. Charles and Mike in valet were exceptional, always ensuring a BMW was available to drive us around within a 3-mile radius. This convenience made navigating Houston much easier without the need for Uber.A special shout out to Russell, the bellman, whose politeness, humor, and entertaining personality added a special touch to our stay. Even though Hurricane Beryl came through and my flight was canceled, the manager Elisa and the morning staff made sure we were safe and comfortable during the hurricane. The entire staff was fantastic and played a crucial role in making my birthday and girls' trip a huge success. I will never forget this experience, and I will definitely return. To the staff at Thompson Hotel, keep up the great work because it truly shows.
