The Ross mansion Bed and Breakfast is everything you can imagine a high quality, well-run bed and breakfast should be. The entire time I was there I felt completely safe and catered to by the owners. The building has been meticulously restored and turned into a bed and breakfast with the modern amenities (great showers!) but done respectfully to the historic nature of the 1903 home. The owners have also done an amazing job of furnishing the entire building with true period pieces and decor.... you really feel like you have stepped back into the turn of the century. I almost felt guilty for wearing modern clothing. LOL. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented, the owners were a delight to talk to and it was great meeting their daughter and dad as well, who often help out around the house with the many things needed to keep the grounds so beautiful and the business running smoothly. It is truly a family affair and you will not be disappointed in meeting this great family. Downtown is about 5 minutes by car.... so it is really close to everything. A bonus if you are a train lover like I am..... the railroad tracks are nearby and nothing lulls me to sleep quite like the rumbling of a freight train. It's one of my favorite sounds ever!!!
My daughter and I had the most enjoyable experience of our lives, when we attended a tea and stayed overnight at this beautiful bed and breakfast. We felt like royalty at the tea, which was themed Downtown Abbey. Every room was exquisitely decorated. It was like we were transported to 1903, when the mansion was built. The breakfast was delicious. The owners Gerry and Jenny were very accommodating and as nice as can be. So if traveling or just want a weekend away, don’t miss out on this wonderful bed and breakfast.
My sister in law and I picked this quaint place for a birthday weekend getaway. Let me start off by saying that just by the photos of this beautiful 1900s mansion we were already so excited to stay, however the two owners Gerry and Jenny made this Bed and Breakfast stay the most magical experience I've ever had. Mrs. Jenny was able to give out so much history about the home and the Ross family. The Ross mansion was absolutely gorgeous but the owners really deserve all ofthe appreciation for preserving the history and beauty of the home, and selflessly sharing it. We also did the tea experience (Jane Eyre themed) featuring one of their talented daughters Ivey who had the most beautiful voice. If you haven't already booked a day or two here what are you waiting for. You will without a doubt feel like family by the time you leave. We most definitely will be back for the holidays and some murder mystery. Thank you for hosting us!
My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Ross Mansion and I’m not sure how to adequately put into words the beauty of this magnificent home. It exudes charm! As we were guided through each room we felt as though we were being transported back in time. The collection of antique furnishings and artwork is exquisite. One of the highlights of our stay was the luxurious Peacock Chamber. This suite is equally as comfortable as it is beautiful.Breakfast was more than just a delicious meal, it was a delightful experience that honored a more genteel era with a meticulously set table of antique china, glassware and sprinkling of flower petals. Perfection! Our hosts, Gerry and Jenny, are incredibly kind and hospitable, and their attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and cared for.For anyone looking for a unique and charming getaway, this is place!
Ross Mansion was such a memorable experience for us! Was my fiancé and I wedding night and we didn't get there till around 12:15 in the morning. They were so welcoming to us and friendly despite it being so late. The Peacock room was so elegant and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the presentation of the food was beautiful. We will definitely be back again to experience more of the Mansion. Thank you again!
The Belmont 1857 is such a serene, beautiful property about 20 minutes outside Greenville, MS. It is cozy and comfortable despite being over 160 years old. My mom and I spent a night in the Garden Suite, which was a large downstairs bedroom with two full sized beds and a nicely renovated bathroom that had a claw foot bathtub that was great for soaking in. The rocking chairs on the screened in porch outside our room were a nice place for us to sit and talk. We enjoyed exploring the house and seeing all of the furniture pieces that were period appropriate. Each room was wonderfully and tastefully decorated. The stairs were easy to maneuver for us. Brad, the owner, helped us in with our bags when we arrived and told us the history of the home. He made us the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time the next morning and sat down with us to chat. The coffee was really delicious too. Brad has done a wonderful job making this mansion feel like a cozy home away from home. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends back home who want to travel thru the Greenville area. We were also greeted by the newest member of the staff, Captain, the 4 month old cat who wanted so badly to be noticed and petted. He is adorable, yet loud. We loved playing with him.

Wonderful experience and amazing host!I have stayed at The Belmont a few times. I have always enjoyed the property. It's become a regular stop for me when I drive across country. This last visit was extra special and the most enjoyable experience I have had there! The new owner, Bradley, was the icing on the cake for us! He definitely elevated the experience at The Belmont. Bradley was so warm, welcoming and the most gracious host. He shared more history about the house and the area than I have ever heard in past visits. I really enjoyed our chats.There are so many wonderful spots in the house to sit, read a book, while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Tea and coffee are available to you all day. You can find a wonderful selection of books in the upstairs library. Walk the grounds or enjoy the porch swing on the covered patio. There are restaurants. The Belmont breakfast was a huge treat!! Delicious and beautiful!!Thank you so much, Bradley!!! We are looking forward to our next visit!!!
This was our second time staying at The Belmont and while we loved it the first time around, it had only gotten better. The owner/host was welcoming, the breakfast was delicious and the house and grounds were beautiful and fun to explore. We stayed here as our halfway point on the way to Gulf Shores and we will absolutely be back.

My husband and I stayed two nights in the Captain's Suite and we had a wonderful time. Brad Hauser, the owner was there to greet us when we arrived, showed us our room and shared some history about the Captain, the room, and the original furnishings. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The history shared at the table was both interesting and informative. We are history buffs so we loved it. The service was impeccable and it was so very comfortable and relaxing, we will definitely go again. We give this B&B 5 stars and highly recommend it. You will love Brad and his staff. Ms Connie was so sweet and everyone was very friendly and we loved sitting out on the balcony, just relaxing. Can't wait to go again. ❤️❤️❤️
