I wish I could remember the name of the lady at the front desk, but she went above and beyond to rearrange reservations for us that we had made at a different Homewood Suites. It is rare to meet someone so friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated her efforts. The hotel itself was also very nice, and it is located close to many restaurants and pubs. We had a great stay.

Overall, the service was amazing! The hotel had very nice and clean rooms ready when we arrived. There was a delightful swimming area with a beautiful outdoor barbecue area by the pool. The staff was very friendly and always available to assist guests. They offered a variety of breakfast options for guests to choose from. I would recommend this hotel for families.

Rooms were large and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator worked well and was clean. Our TV did not work in the living room. Maintenance was up and down from our room multiple times looking at it. Also our dishwasher was inoperable. The stopper for the shower area needed fixing. It lets a lot of water out of the spigot which reduces water pressure from the head. Lastly, there was not a fan in the bathroom. If it had not been for such great customer service and quick response to maintenance requests, our review would have been much worse. We were appreciative of their attention to our problems and they fixed them as quickly as they could. Hopefully we just got a dud of a room.

If I could 0 stars for customer service, or lack thereof, I would. We arrived for our reservation after hours of travel. A hotel guest was standing ahead of me waiting for someone to come to the front desk. After he was tired of waiting, he left. I stood at the front desk for waiting and no one ever came. I finally walked to end of the counter and said “Hello” in the direction of the back office. All the sudden people are scrambling in the back. The front desk agent looked up my reservation and said that my reservation stated yesterday’s date (the incorrect date), yet I had confirmation in hand for today’s date. Then we were informed that the hotel was sold out. We booked through a third party app.I then asked the agent if he could suggest another hotel nearby and replies “I don’t know. Call the website you booked through and see what they could do for you. The whole city is sold out because of the Country Music Fest.”With no offer of help from the agent (even after I requested assistance twice) to call a sister hotel (Hilton brand) we drove right next door (it’s literally walking distance) to another Hilton brand, Hilton Garden Inn. That hotel was also sold out but at least that agent was very helpful in looking up availability for nearby Hilton properties. We headed to another Hilton property as suggested and was able to do a walk up booking.I understand that hotels get overbooked however, if someone traveled a long way to stay at your hotel, you can’t just leave them with “your reservation was canceled and were sold out.” At least offer to look up availability for sister properties especially if the customer asks. You know exactly where your sister properties are (especially the one next door) and no reason to act clueless. This is poor customer service and that individual does not need to be at your front desk.I called the third-party we booked through and they called the hotel and also told us that the hotel accepted the reservation which is also confirmed on my booking confirmation email. As many Hilton’s I have stayed in, I never experienced this type of service.

The good: this place was beachfront with easy access to the beach and all the boardwalk attractions. The rooms were comfy and clean upon arrival. Hearty all-you-can-eat free breakfast at a diner across the street. Free movie rentals at a DVD kiosk in the lobby. The bad: service. We had to walk our dirty towels down to the lobby just to get clean ones. Parking is not really across the street but across 2 streets. Pools are very small but functional. Cannot get housekeeping during your stay.

First time in South Carolina and this was a this hotel was ran down, not having parking passes for all guest staying in a room was ridiculous. Having to pay $15 a day to pay to park in a the lot by the hotel was ridiculous. The black lady with the overlapping teeth that worked check was rude and very dry! Me and my sister came back down after checking in to complain about the dirty sheets on beds and she asked us to bring down the liens as if we worked there? I didn’t bring them down as I felt who ever cleans needed to come and change them! The hotel smelled so bad! We stayed in the forth floor and it’s smelled like pee. There was dust in the cracks and corners, this hotel was very unkept! They don’t put a lot of money into the place definitely wasn’t happy with this place but because I came 6 hours away I had to settle as my sister is the one who booked this nasty hotel. Definitely not worth the $500 spent. Won’t stay here EVER AGAIN.

The location couldn't be better and I'm sure the rooms and in-house service are lovely, but the booking is nothing short of a false-advertising scam. When it says a room is $200, it's really $500. There are a ton of hidden fees. The original amount given is the cost for "renting the hotel room." I was prepared to spend my money at your resort, but because of the dishonesty, I found a hotel with no hidden fees.

I’ve stayed here twice now and enjoyed both experiences. The facility is on the beach so that’s great! The pools are clean and fun. Our second stay the hot tub was closed but access to the sister property hot tub(across the street) was great. We love the breakfast, and the rooms are clean, functional and have comfy beds. Views are beautiful. The free mini golf is a bonus too. You can’t beat the price!

Room was awful. Closet door fell off, noise from the pool area lasted all night, bathroom door and outside sliding door to patio were both stuck. Soap tray in shower was bent so it could not hold soap or shampoo. Kids running up and down the hall at all hours screaming and yelling. Front desk staff were very unfriendly and had an attitude. Half the tv channels did not work. It was a cluster at the front desk to park and check in with everyone limited to a 4pm check in; therefore, not enough luggage carts available. Elevator in parking garage was broken. To top it all off, the hotel could not verify our reservation and took almost two hours to get checked in. The only decent thing about the place was the location and accessibility to the beach. There are definitely better accommodations in the Myrtle Beach area. Avoid this place! Definitely a dump!
