Horrible Marriott service from the reservations team! Spoke with manager Verika about switching my reservation dates due to my sons move in date change at the university. The only room available was a single bed. They still wanted to charged me $140 more with the downgrade from double to single bed! They made no exceptions even though I’m a marriot bonvoy member! Horrible customer service from the manager. She basically just got on the phone and said there’s nothing she could do. I’ve worked In the hospitality service my whole like and I know there is always something that can be done, a fee waived, a voucher.. anything to make a happy customer. Very disappointed and I will let all the families that we know that will be attending Utah university that the convenience is not worth the service provided from Marriott. Stay somewhere else.. cheaper and better customer service. We booked downtown in Salt Lake City with a roof top lounge instead!

I stay at this motel for my medical trips to the university, I've always been welcomed with a friendly smile! One of the front desk receptionists, David, had not only a kind, welcoming smile when arriving, he has been generous in not only assisting myself, but the 2 parties that were ahead of me! He went over & above when I had needed or requested assistance! Also, the M Club is a great addition, I highly recommend getting that as an add on, it's quite inviting and a peaceful place, as well as the outdoor patio!

Place was clean, great views, location is close to many restaurants and bars via short car ride. Our sink had an issue and it was resolved quickly. Fireplace area is nice. No issues which is what I like with a hotel. They could add a towel hook or two and the plumbing fixture was a pull and turn which is a bit dated. For what we paid, it was great.

I didn't stay at the hotel but was in attendance of an event there and needed help with something. The hotel is beautiful and is very clean. I had the pleasure of meeting Luke who is absolutely wonderful. He is friendly, warm and very helpful. He gets 10 out of 10 stars.

We had to go to Salt Lake because of a family member being in the Hospital Burn Center. Because we got there late and had to go to the hospital we asked for a late check out. They told us normal check out is at noon, but they will allow us to check out at 1 PM. When we got in the room, I kept finding little pieces of trash on the floor, but we were in the hurry to get to the hospital so I forgot about it.. In the morning before 8 AM housekeeping can start at knocking on the door saying you leave. We need to clean the room. I told her we had a late checkout at one and would be leaving around 1 PM. Every hour they would knock on the door trying to get us to leave. While packing my wife found dirty clothes by the window that didn’t belong to us. There was a spot on the sheer curtains that looked like someone had used it as toilet paper. I brought the issues up with the front desk, staff and they could care less about it. It is the worst Marriott hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They also have a parking fee.. They sent me a welcome message two days after we left.

Played Fox News in the lobby which makes it uncomfortable for anyone who doesn’t agree with that channel; no safe in rooms so we had to carry our laptop around everywhere; wouldn’t allow a 30 minute late check out even for Hilton Honors member. Breakfast was substandard. Room not cleaned sufficiently, gross.

Stayed for a few days and had a nice experience. Staff is friendly and my room was cleaned everyday without me even asking. My time here was pleasant. And they have a nice relaxing fire pit outside.

This is the second time I have stayed here and it was great! It was pretty quiet, rooms are wonderful- spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. All staff that I encountered were very nice. Great proximity to everything you might need including great dining and Walmart. I love the rooms so much we are thinking of modeling our cabin after the room! Easy to get to, close to the Belt Route.

This is a wonderful hotel. Exceptionally friendly staff, exceptionally clean rooms, treated me like an important person and I had a great night sleep. The location is also great just off of I 80.

Service was good and location was great for what we needed which was a quick turnaround meeting in downtown SLC. I was dissapointed to find that the shower only had shampoo and conditioner. All other Home2 Suites that I've stayed at have the 3 pumps on the wall, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Since there was no body wash we just picked some up elsewhere. The gym was ready for use with fresh towels. Probably needs to get checked on a little more. There were dirty towels on the floor although there was a basket for used towels. Someone probably just didn't see the basket and decided to throw their used gym towels on the floor. We went out for breakfast so we didn't try the hotel offerings but from previous experience they're usually decent. When we arrived to the hotel (it wasn't late) the parking lot out front was already full. We were told that there was additional parking along the back wall of the hotel or along the side but not to park in the Walmart parking lot that backs up to the hotel or we could get towed. We were told we could enter through the back of the hotel on the first floor (pool floor), but our key didn't work so we had to go around to the front, up the (uphill) driveway, back around to the front to get inside with our luggage. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and offered to "reset" they electronic key. That still didn't work so we got card keys instead to be able to get in & out of places. We did like the location, 10 min from downtown, but for all the extra hassles we experienced, I'll stay elsewhere next time unless I have no other choice.
