A quiet space to call home. Rooms were clean and comfy with all the amenities. The service and staff were friendly and attentive. The morning breakfast selections were spot on for a grab-and-go day of exploring! Loved the front porch and the umbrellas! Within close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and tours of the city. Book your room today and enjoy everything Charleston has to offer!

The location of the hotel is very good. We booked a suite. The room is very luxurious, but because there are employees setting breakfast at 6 o'clock in the morning on the left hand side of the first floor, I feel that the location of the kitchen is unreasonable. There is a staff who helped me carry my luggage and has a very rude attitude. Other staff are very nice

This was an amazing hotel. Bella showed us the room we were going to stay in and sold us on the booking. She was nice and energetic. Room was clean and large with updated bathroom. Breakfast was amazing! Location was perfect. Everyone who works at the property is helpful and nice. If I come back to Charleston I will stay here again!

Stop looking and stay here. The only con, the mattress was cheaper (too soft for me) than I would expect. We did stay in a front corner room on the second floor so we didn't hear much noise during the night.I'll add this might not be a great place for kids, think adult quiet place. We felt like we were house sitting for a friend, a friend who keeps a stocked fridge in each room. A very nice bedroom with a dining/meeting room stocked with drinks and snacks, a very nice bathroom. We had direct front and back access for easy in and out to the front logia or back courtyard.Plenty of grab and go breakfast and snack items for a couple like us who don't need waffles and scrambled eggs. This is the only place I'd stay if I came back.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend for my birthday. We were greeted by friendly staff and I can’t say enough about Mary. She truly goes above and beyond and takes pride in her job. She even went out of her way to make sure I had flowers waiting for me in our room. The cleaning staff also went above and beyond for him as well when we had a laundry issue. Our room was spotless and the complimentary snack basket added that extra special touch. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the shops and so many restaurants to choose from. We cannot wait to book our next stay and would definitely recommend!

The definition of southern hospitality. We were in good hands with the excellent service, the breakfast and afternoon happy hour spreads were rich with goodies ! Our view to the courtyard was lovely, room was quiet, and the location is close to everything. We would absolutely stay again.

Loved our stay at Jasmine house — stayed in the third floor flat. We appreciated the attention to detail from decor to amenities, as well as friendly staff. The complementary local snacks and drinks were a nice surprise — appreciated the local touch & added convenience. We enjoyed the breakfast and evening reception as well. We didn’t have a chance to stop by for the nightcap service, but will look forward to trying this next time. It was clear the thought that went into curating the experience & it certainly made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Great location and quick walk across the street to parking as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a three day getaway in Charleston and couldn’t have stayed in a better location. Steps away from the best shopping and restaurants in Charleston. Valet the car and never needed it again. Very high end feeling and the staff were so friendly and down to earth. The restaurant on sight was exceptional. If you want the perfect location to everything in Charleston this is the place for you.. felt like I was staying in the White House so historic and comfortable.. a boutique hotel easily in and out .. highly recommend this lovely place..!

From start to finish, our experience at Planters Inn was exceptional, thanks to their outstanding communication and hospitality. We arrived early for a wedding and were thrilled that the staff accommodated us with an early check-in, allowing us plenty of time to prepare for the event. Claire warmly welcomed us upon arrival, making the check-in process smooth and effortless. Additionally, Cloe was incredibly helpful with the valet service, ensuring our vehicle was taken care of promptly. The property itself is simply stunning, a perfect blend of charm and elegance. Every detail, from the beautifully maintained grounds to the cozy, well-appointed rooms, added to the overall experience. The service and atmosphere at Planters Inn left a lasting impression on us, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a luxurious and welcoming escape!

Recommended for a special occasion.Be advised that the maing dining space is finite, reservations strongly recommended and there is a dress code. That said, the service was excellent, Jessica was attentive without being intrusive. The bartender was up to scratch, delivering a ginger snap that featured house infused ginger liquor. We do enjoy a good salad, one featured field greens and speck, the second roasted carrots with a cashew cream sauce. Both excellent. The house special included halibut and was just about the best we have had in a good while. Firm and absolutely fresh.Ww have not seen this done elsewhere, but the Peninsula Grill offers sauces to supplement your entre; check out the menu for current selections. We finished with a chocolate mousse, also we'll presented and excellent. We will not disclose the amuse-bouche (a single, bite-sized hors d'œuvre) compliments of the chef that began the meal.Definitely a memorable dining experience. Located on Meeting and Market, paid parking is conveniently close.

Perfect location. At the edge of the market place with a restaurant next door. There is also breakfast on the other side of the market place (Another Broken Egg) which is 10/10! Piano and sports bar across the street. One street over from shopping on King Street. Beautiful atmosphere, nice staff, beautiful rooms. I was impressed! Our new favorite place to stay. We used valet to park our car, valet took bags out of the car and met us in our room. Amazing service for tired travelers and even better if you have littles. Also, there is a Target on King Street if you forget diapers, wipes, or your umbrella!

I cannot say enough good things about Planters Inn, Colleen and Ben who work the front desk. I had a friend visiting me in Charlotte, I wanted To share my love of Charleston with her. I went through Expedia to book a different hotel. Upon arrival, I was informed they had overbooked and we couldn’t stay. Colleen was actually working this hotel, she immediately handled booking us at Planters Inn at no cost to us. She was kind, friendly and went above and beyond for us. Planters was beautiful , Ben was kind and made sure we had everything we needed given I had my toddler with me. I cannot say enough good things. Thank you all for being so welcoming and taking immaculate care of us.

We loved everything about our stay at Planters Inn. A central location within walking distance to anything and everything you want to experience in downtown Charleston. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The service from the time you drive up until the time you leave is absolutely 5 star with every staff member we encountered. The best part for us was dining at their Peninsula Grill. Most hotel restaurants leave a lot to be desired, however this was an absolute exception! Be warned, the 12 layer coconut cake is one of the best desserts ever. We took ours up to our room and enjoyed it overlooking the peaceful courtyard. We look forward to returning very soon.

My husband and I agree that our stay at the Planters Inn felt as if one of the most gracious grand dames of Charleston had opened her beautiful historic home to make us feel comfortable, relaxed, pampered and especially welcomed.Every single staff member went out of their way to anticipate any need, answer any question and fulfill any request. To a person, they all seemed genuinely proud of their city and eager make sure we had great experiences. The dining recommendations were excellent, and all our reservations were secured by the knowledgeable and resourceful staff. We found our beautifully appointed room to be a spacious retreat after hours spent exploring this great Southern city. And unlike many older hotels, the bathroom was large, modern and pristine, and had great shower pressure. This review highlights some but definitely not all of the details that contributed to making our stay at the Planters Inn exceptional. We would happily return on future trips to Charleston.

I had a wonderful stay! It was quiet and within walking distance of some lovely spots in Charleston! Julianna was very helpful at the front desk. She smiled with every greeting! Micheal was terrific and energetic! He was very eager to be of assistance! It was also nice to meet Darrin, the security at the hotel! He loves his job, and it shows! The hotel was very nice, but it was the staff that made the stay comfortable and memorable! I hope to return one day!
