Excellent place to stay. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. Staff was exceptionally nice...from front desk to housekeeping. The breakfast service person (Sept 8th am) was so nice. Nice to everyone, cleaned up after guests and actually cared about her guests. Breakfast was great. Just overall great experience. Nice pool, fire pit and covered bridge. The grounds were beautiful.

My dog and I had a great stay here when visiting the Waterbury-Stowe area. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The grass area outside was very convenient for traveling with my dog. The view from this hotel was stunning and it is in an ideal location in close proximity to hiking and local shops. The free breakfast was delicious here and I also appreciated the small shop next to the hotel front desk for snacks, frozen meals, beverages, and other items. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and would visit again.

Nice, clean hotel at an affordable price! My husband and I only stayed for one night, but I would have loved to stay longer! We made use of their pool ( which is in a solarium, so they was pretty cool), there's a good sized hot tub, game room with air hockey and ping pong tables, as well as a common area with some small games and puzzles. We did peek in at their exercise room which looked clean as well. There's free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby, as well as some cookies. The breakfast had a great variety of choices including waffles, yogurt, and hot foods. The room was clean and comfortable. While we didn't have a view from our room, the parking lot has a lovely view of the mountains. There's a covered bridge on the property to walk by and some nice benches to enjoy the view as well. We came during what I think is a quiet season for them (mid-April) so there wasn't a ton to do in the area, but if you wanted somewhere quiet and out of the way to relax for a few days, this would be it!
This hotel is so charming and situated in a gorgeous area. The owners think through the details to make each room beautiful and unique. If you are looking for something that feels more homey than your typical hotel, this is the right place to book.We stayed in the Main Street Suite (highly recommend!). This suite has an outdoor terrace and hot tub as well as floor to ceiling shelves lined with books.We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away. Very cute little town. We spent to nights. The inn is very nice. Our suit was basically a two bedroom apartment with everything you need. If you don't want to eat out there is a grocery store within walking distance. Our room the Deerleap Suite was on the 3rd floor and had great views of the mountains and the cute main st. We would go back and stay in the same suite.

If you are visiting a student at Middlebury College, this is a fantastic place to stay! Its a quick 20 minute ride from campus and it made my daughter really feel like she was "getting away." Rooms are very spacious and having a kitchen is such a plus. The restaurants are exactly what we were looking for and so were the local shops. Everyone we met were so friendly and Mark (Innkeeper) was incredibly helpful and kind at getting us a reservation on short notice. Definitely will be back the next time we visit the area!
Bugs in the bed are not comforting to find. In the age of bed bugs and German roaches from hotels (as you’ve probably seen in the news recently), it’s important to check the mattress before bringing your bags in— while doing so, the bug in the picture was discovered. It ran further into the fitted sheet when disturbed. Bugs tucking themselves into the sheets is an even less comforting thing to see, and could indicate more hidden beneath the sheet. The invasive species are known to hide then come out at night.The innkeeper said it was a boxelder beetle. Didn’t stick around long enough to check personally and staff was out for the day. Other reviews with bugs said they had those, but this one wasn’t orange or red and there was only one instead of 20+, so I can’t be certain. With bed bugs and German roaches hitching a ride home on clothing and baggage, then becoming months long infestations, why risk it?They charged half a night’s price for 15 minutes. I understand this: Bristol Suites is a business above all else, and protecting their revenue comes first. The owners seem like lovely people and I don’t fault them for wanting to hang onto the money, but I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone who is considering staying here. Out of nearly 80 hotel nights in 2023 alone, I’ve only had to leave without staying the night once in my life (a couple years ago) and that hotel gave me a full refund, but some really bad hotels will give nothing so I’m not upset. I appreciate Mark for being the liaison between us and the owners who weren’t in!I wanted to be clear that there are no hard feelings. The innkeeper offered to come remove the bug, which would have required him to come in after hours, and I respect that. The owners really do seem kind. The hotel is otherwise cute and I genuinely hate to leave bad feedback for a place like this. I almost never do this— you can check my profile and find glowing reviews about hotels from several states or countries. I remember names of stellar staff and make sure to leave positive feedback. Bugs in beds are uncommon though, and for me personally that makes this place a one star (though I’ll give extra for the partial refund). If you’re not bug adverse you won’t be as put off.
The location is in downtown Bristol around other great restaurants, stores, etc. The room (Rockydale) was very cozy and welcoming. The service was great, especially when there is an emergency (my wife and I were late for check-in due to road closures from flooding).Parking is located behind the hotel and another building nearby so you do not have to do street parking. They provide information about all the amenities of the hotel via text, email, or on paper.Cannot ask for anything more.
