Great hotel run by Bri, she's a pro. Front desk were so helpful, as well as 14th floor terrace club servers. Valet Captain reached out to Me upon hearing about my dissatisfaction, and spoke to me in detail about plans to improve. Went above and beyond . I cannot wait to go back!

The ROOST Detroit was great! The room was clean and spacious. They have great amenities like an in-unit washer and dryer, cookware, and complimentary water. The staff at the front desk were friendly. They have nice lobby decor, and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Even their rooftop had good drinks and nice views of Downtown Detroit. Definitely recommend!

I found my new favorite place to stay in Detroit! Roost was a fantastic experience the whole way through. Check in was easy with a very friendly and informative staff. Room was huge! I can't believe you can get that much space at the price they are charging. Very clean and comfortable. They have a bar onsite that stays open decently late, and the central location of Roost means can walk almost anywhere in downtown area.Parking can be tricky and pricey. There is street parking, but you'll need a good bit of luck to get any of those spots. Parking garage across the street will most like be $25-35 a day, and Valet is $45. That's really the only negative I have for this place, but it's an easy one to overcome, and when you compare prices with other locations, Roost still offers the best value even factoring in parking.I will 100% be staying here again!

The Roost at Book Tower has everything you need within the building. Three first class restaurants, a gym and work /study areas. The hotel's apartments are well equipped with apartment grade furniture, comfortable bed, washer/dryer. Everything you need is at arms length. Well designed and well-kept. I have stayed at The Roost 5 times over the last year. Its now my home when I come to Detroit for business.

This is an outstanding hotel in the historic district. The room had a kitchenette, comfortable bed, lots of room with a desk and small table and chairs. The hotel is beautifully renovated with two restaurants - Japanese and French. There is an exquisite roof-top bar and it is in a great location so you can easily walk to the riverwalk or to the stadiums. I would highly recommend!

The Roost is Historic Detroit revitalization at its finest! The hotel was beautiful with so many thoughtful design details that blended a historic feel with modern comfort and luxury. The rooms were set up for easy extended stay, with a kitchen prepared with all the tools you would need and full size appliances. There was a comfortable living room, dinning area/workspace, and our suite had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with comfortable beds and great showers. We really enjoyed all the historic features of the hotel that have been so well preserved, the excellent coffee bar on the first floor, and the historic display about the building's history in the lobby (a must see). The hotel was also in a great area with a very European feeling vibe right outside, and an easy walk to the Grand Circus Park Historic District, Woodward Avenue, Huntington Place, the Detroit People Mover and so much more. Highly recommend!

Hotel room was very affordable and nice. Jacuzzi tub was great. Toilet was separated from bathroom by a door but still in side the bathroom, adds a little more privacy. Everything was clean. The casino was a good time. Got some wings in the food court with fries, those were amazing as well. We wanna come back!

$478 for a room for one night. Checked in and went to my concert, came back around 1, laid in the bed and could not sleep. Checked out at 7am. Front desk says call tomorrow for resolution. Called today and got the run around. Finally after everyone was on the same page, $50 is what I was offered. I want looking for anything for free, by any means. But maybe half back? Manager basically said there’s nothing I can do for you, sorry about your luck, should’ve asked to switch rooms. There was no receptionist at the desk when I was getting food before I headed up to my room at 12am. Lesson learned to never stay here again, I will never spend a PENNY here, the casino, the bar, none of it. I feel like I was taken advantage of!

Rooms are ok. Most of the staff (not all) make you feel like you are bothering them if you ask any questions. For example the lady working the gift shop across from the front desk yesterday is a good example of the don’t bother me attitude with your questions. However the female security guard was amazing.

Free parkingThe security guard Shaun was excellent and really had me feeling safe, he helped me navigate where to go early in the morning and was respectful to the military group I was with. The too. Is spacious and very luxurious. I loved the robe in the right closet, the bathroom shoes and the assortment of lights. I will always come here while in Detroit moving forward

I was here for a work conference so I cannot speak to the casino. The hotel is old. Looks like they decorated in the 70s and haven't touched it since. The carpets look like a crime scene. No exhaust fans in the bathroom. All soft white light bulbs which make the rooms even more dingy.Would not stay here again. Don't let your bare feet hit the floor.
