We absolutely loved our stay at The Menhaden! The room, the location, the on site bar and coffee shop were all so nice. The employees were super friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange a driver to go out for the day and do winery tastings! Can't wait to go back and stay there again.

The Menhaden is hands down the best hotel in Greenport! Location is top notch, since you are walking distance from all the bars, restaurants, shops (and ferry to Shelter Island or train station). The rooms are so comfortable and the overall decor is beautiful and meticulously thought out. The galley is also the best touch - free beverages and snacks (and WARM cookies at night!!)… what could be better?! The hotel’s general store also has some really wonderful finds - I somehow always leave purchasing a new gift for myself! But my hands down reason for loving The Menhaden is the staff. From the moment you book with them, The Menhaden team goes above and beyond to ensure your stay with them is catered to exactly what you want. From booking reservations, setting up wine tours and arranging transportation, they do it all! We look forward to visiting again soon!

We had a fantastic stay at the Menhaden!! Felicia, Mario, and all of the staff were amazing and provided great recommendations. Hotel is located right in the middle of town and close walk to all shops and restaurants. The hotel has a nice boutique feel, not too many rooms making it feel intimate and low-key. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Each floor has its own kitchen area stocked with drinks, snacks and even fresh cookies in the afternoon and croissants in the morning. Lobby bar is super cute and has a good drink list and we also enjoyed hanging out on the rooftop for a pre-dinner cocktail or later at night. Don’t hesitate to book! Great experience and would recommend anyone to stay while in the area!!

Our experience at the Menhaden was wonderful! The staff was very attentive to all our needs. The room was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in! Very refreshing!! I loved the galley and we had our breakfast from there. We loved the rooftop firepits and the warm blankets to use on the rooftop were a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the views too. We could walk 1 block to the port. We would definitely recommend it!

I had an amazing stay at The Menhaden. The staff were incredible, especially the GM, Mario. He truly knows what hospitality means. My room was simple and clean, just what I needed.I saw some reviews suggesting coffee and water should be in the rooms instead of the galley. I disagree. The galley is a fantastic feature. It's fully stocked, and you can grab whatever you want whenever you need it. No need to go back and forth to the desk. The cookies and milk at night are such a nice touch, and the croissants with spreads in the morning are perfect. The yogurt toppings are great too.Everything about this place is spot-on—the cleanliness, the location close to everything, the bikes, and the rooftop. I loved it all and can't wait to come back!

So first time great looking place. The waiter was nice and friendly. The food was good so when you get the menu it's all dinner items. But there's another menu with pizza and bar food . I had the burger which was very good. At the end of the night I had the cholalate dessert. It was great ... but half way through enjoying it while I was talking to my girlfriend a waitress came by and scooped it up and took it away. I then find out my burger I sent to be wrap up was thrown away too. Probably the waitress. So my waiter made me a new one, which was very nice. The drinks are not good. I had a Cosmo and it definitely wasn't a Cosmo. I Definitely won't come back here , especially after seeing the bill for what it was.
This Inn is Top Notch. This is the Original CPI of the 1600's all renovated and updated. We have stayed at many places in the Hamptons and this is among the best. We have stayed in the Suites and the Cottages and they all well appointed. The rooms, the service and the dining were some of the best we've have experienced. Try the Good Ground Tavern Restaurant attached to the Inn.They Hotel is staffed with amazingly friendly and helpful people. We were greeted upon arrival the valet who took to our every need.Molly the General Manager was on top of things and made sure all was perfect for myself and my family. We will be back again at the end of them month.

We came to have dinner at the restaurant. Table of six three adults three children. Everybody left full. food was excellent. Even the kids ate all of their food. I wish I would’ve taken pictures. The dishes were beautiful. Sage, our server was everything you needed from a server. You can tell the kitchen really has everything under control. Every dish came out together. We all left so happy. Not to mention the venue is beautiful. Will be back.

The food is great if it comes. Went with other couple and the waiter continuously served me the wrong liquor. Didn’t write anything down. Clearly needed to be trained. Ordered appetizers one never came. 2 of us eventually got our entree waited 15 minutes for the other 2 to come out only to be told they ran out of the entrees. Just a very disorganized production. A real shame because for a place so expensive and the food being good the service is abysmal. I gave this another chance but will never be coming back after this experience. To top the whole dinner the busser spilt ketchup on my wife’s white pants. Just not a good experience

This location was a nightclub for years before laying dormant for a long time. I expected the old wood structure to go up in flames one night.Instead the current owners completely rebuilt the main building and added a number of smaller house around the property. Then they decided to make the place upscale with fine food, expensive drinks, and special events like concerts, book readings, and so forth. I said they did a good job but that it would never work in this location.I was totally wrong. The atmosphere is great. The food is very good. The drinks are good. And did I mention the atmosphere is great. One of my favorite places to go now in Hampton Bays. I worked there in the 70’s during its heyday as a nightclub with Twisted Sister as the house band, concerts by Foreigner, Southside Johnny, and Muddy Waters. I never guessed it could morph into its current setup but it has. Great job by the new owners.
Fantastic stay! The aesthetic of the rooms is perfect and timeless. Spa experience was relaxing and the staff incredibly helpful. Bar and restaurant staff were accommodating and friendly. Molly’s hospitality was impeccable. I will definitely be back.Finding the entrance was a little tricky - my only feedback is to improve signage a little :).
