Sharme’ at the front desk at the check- in was amazing!! The whole Drury experience was fantastic- the happy hour Kickback was awesome- some of our favorite meals while we were in Cleveland! Great downtown location - short drive to Cleveland Clinic where we were visiting a friend.
Great place to stay with clean rooms and excellent amenities. This was my second stay in two years and I experienced the same high quality both stays. Fantastic buffet for both meals! The location is very close to downtown events and locations and also to the bus lines. I also felt very secure traveling alone as a solo woman traveler.
Roaches!!!!! I didn’t see any in my room, but lots in the swimming pool room. Most were small. About a half inch or so. There were 2 that were a good 2 inches! Biggest ones I’ve ever seen! Besides that, everything else was good. Rooms were updated and nice with high ceilings. The breakfast, and the 5:30 shindig was great! I just hate roaches with a passion
Arrived in time to enjoy the evening happy hour and free food! Good indoor pool (lots of kids though it was still summer) and generous hot tub. Exercise room had all of the equipment needed to get a good workout done, and the free breakfast had plenty hot and cold to pick from. King size room was huge as was the walk in shower.Valet parking is a bit steep but I never had to leave the hotel so it’s convenient! Really close to the R&R Hall of Fame and Lake Erie lakefront.
Currently staying here. We checked in last night and will stay again tonight. Beautiful hotel. I love the fact that you kept some of the original theme of the board of education. The paintings, the mailbox, some of the dorm doors, etc. The front desk ladies were very polite when we checked in. The Manager came around at breakfast said hello to everyone and asked if they needed anything. Very cheerful and pleasant. He took our plates after we had breakfast and wiped down tables. Different from some of the other hotels that I’ve stayed, where the manager acted like they were more superior than the employees and visitors . We like the fact we are walking distance from Browns Stadium and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Love your Hotel and its staff. Simply amazing. You definitely paid attention to detail. I am enjoying your hospitality and the many other amenities you offer, free drinks, alcoholic beverages, breakfast, evening drinks, etc. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

Love the historic feel. It was under renovations so a few things were not quite up to par. Breakfast was just okay. They charge for parking and most of the days it was over filled due to a wedding. Place is a lot smaller in person than it appears in the pictures on their website. I am happy we stayed there but I would never stay again.
This hotel is fantastic, situated in a beautiful historic house in a great location. Their goal was to maintain the appearance of 1910. Beds are not large. The only negative is breakfast. I think they need to change the breakfast concept and modernize it or make it better.

The attention to detail in the décor and the overall ambiance made for stunning photos, and the natural light in the main areas was fantastic for capturing those special moments.Overall, Glidden House is a wonderful choice for couples looking for a unique and intimate setting for their wedding. I highly recommend it for any wedding celebration!
It is a nice historical hotel in the heart of a college area, close to museums, a botanical garden. The rooms were nice, the service adequate. The breakfast was ok, nothing special but I won't let that affect my opinion that it is a good hotel overall. The third floor was under renovation but it was fine. The rooms were good except for the pillows - they could do with better ones. They could also offer some bottled water as there is none in the room. The bar service was disappointing. The prices we were charged for drinks were much higher than the menu prices - a difference of 3-4 dollars. The prices were outrageous. $19 for a poorly made old fashioned where I could not even taste the alcohol? $14 for a glass of red wine? I don't pay that much at the airport or at a high end hotel! Unexplainable and unacceptable. For that one reason I'm going to give them four stars. A pity rather because it could be an excellent choice for lodging but I will not stay there again most likely - the food and drinks options are scarce and what's there is not up to par.
We had an amazing time! It’s in a great area, really close to everything. The staff were amazing and SO friendly. Everything was very clean, which is difficult for these old buildings. Really beautiful woodwork and the rooms were so cool. Lovely little bar for a romantic night cap, the bartender was so sweet and brought us popcorn, and the outside sitting area was beautiful. We never take a vacation, this was our first time away in years, and we’re SO happy that we chose to spend it here. We will be recommending this place to everyone, and I can’t wait to come back! Thanks for making us feel fancy and giving us wonderful memories. (And thank you for making it affordable.)
