I was a photographer at this B&B this past weekend and it provided the best intimate place for my couple and their families. The Capital suite upstairs was absolutely stunning for getting ready photos and other portraits. Definitely recommend for small weddings

Pre Thanksgiving Birthday for my wife. Storybrook Suite in an absolutely amazing house in a beyond amazing location in one of the great historic areas in America. The innkeeper, Whitney Blessing is a "blessing". Not only is the breakfast fabulous, but personally served by Whitney with some amazing early morning conversation. This place is in a class by itself. Not to be missed. An experience you'll cherish always. Thank you Whitney. We miss you already. Happy Holidays. Lilly and Don

I spent the nights of 2 & 3 October at the New Victorian and was 100% satisfied. The B&B has several outstanding aspects: (1) The Innkeeper, Whitney, is the perfect host. She cares for every guest's comfort and enjoyment of their stay in St Paul. She is kind and efficient. She is friendly and very knowledgeable. (2) The breakfasts are truly excellent !!! (3) The entire mansion --guest rooms and public space -- are a national historic treasure. I can't emphasize enough the quality and uniqueness of the interior architecture and woodwork. The craftsmen who designed and built the woodwork had to be among the greatest of any generation. And, by the way, it was Whitney and her team who spent a decade or so overseeing the extraordinary restoration process. It is truly a shining gem in the Cathedral Hill Historic District.p.s. It is also located right next to many great restaurants, coffee houses, shops, and drinking establishments.

Beautiful B&B. Looking at the intricately detailed wood work alone is enough reason to visit this wonderful place. Whitney is delightful and Hadj the chef made a lovely breakfast.Great location: Took a stroll around the neighborhood to look at all the incredible houses. There's a park directly across the street if you bring young kids. We heard no noise, inside or out, throughout the night. The room was on the warmer side at night and we didn't see a way to make it cooler, but all in all, we would come back! Had a nice view of the cathedral from our room.

My daughter and I stayed at the New Victorian Mansion for one night while on a college visit and had a lovely time. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. We loved our room, which had a comfy king bed and a huge dressing area and bathroom, and the hot breakfast (lemon ricotta waffles with fruit and sausages). The location is fabulous and it is so easy (and FREE) to park, which is not the case for any other hotel I'd looked at in St. Paul. Many good restaurants and historic sites are in walking distance. We would happily stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Big rooms and clean. Staff was excellent. Location good in downtown. Biggest issue was parking ramp, sign about cost is not clear, starts at 5am so if not out at 5 am you pay for two days. Pay at the hotel and it is cheaper. I like the place.

The Marquette was our hotel for our wedding block, & as the bride & groom, we were given a corner suite as our ready room & wedding night room. Tessa & the team were easy to work with to reserve & modify our room block. The staff was incredibly thoughtful & helpful the day of our wedding. They were prompt delivering extra waters, a steamer, & bar stools to use for hair/makeup. Adding parking to our rooms & guest rooms was seamless. As a local, I had not had a reason to stay at The Marquette in the past, but now that we live out of state we will definitely stay here when we're home visiting!

For this hotel, I got an upgrade thanks to my membership status. Despite that, it is still a unique hotel with a great location - accessible to stores in downtown. The room i got upgraded to is spacious with a wide window and a handheld shower. In addition, the housekeeper is frequent and ensures my room is tidy. Overall a great hotel for the price. A note is the hotel has breakfast buffet, and you would need to seat yourself.
Stayed for a few nights a few weeks ago. Very posh hotel. Our only interaction with staff was at check in. We felt welcome. King bed room was clean, spacious, bed comfortable and warm. Bathroom was clean and shower pressure strong. Not much of a view. Location is great if you need to be downtown.

The hotel and room is beautiful. Getting to parking garage was a bit of a challenge- signs for the hotel and its garage should definitely be more obvious . Corner room has tons of windows. Staff encountered were nice. The man working the shift when we got back to hotel was helpful with us asking about food options as it was very late. The room and bathroom were very clean. There was nothing found inside room to advise of vending/ice location as well as local eateries etc. I feel a hotel at this level should have microwaves available- I was told there was one on the c level but never found it . I also feel like an included breakfast would not be out of the scope. We were told there was 24 hour room service , however we were later informed kitchen closed at 11. And when we finally found how to even access the menu- it was minimal. Overall would appreciate better information regarding local attractions and food. While the front desk staff was overall nice and helpful we shouldn't have to ask for every little thing. Overall good stay
