Wife and I did one night get-away to Santa Barbara. Our first time staying here at Cheshire. Cute room with patio. Comfortable bed. The room was musty and needed air, so we kept the windows open which helped to keep it fresh. The room entry was a cute Dutch door entry. Good breakfast served on the veranda right outside our room. Friendly staff and management. Great parking. Will stay here again after Covid shut down is finished and they have completely restored their services such as evening wine, etc.
I struggled so hard with leaving a review because this place is SO good! I want it to be the best kept secret but they also deserve the kudos. Everything: the gorgeous rooms, friendliness, amazing hospitality, the garden, the AMAZING home-cooked breakfasts, location...it truly checked all of the boxes for us. We will come back sooner than later.
We stayed in the White Rabit Room for 2 nights in early July. We loved it! Here are our highlights.#1 - Upon arrival, we were met in the courtyard (let us check in a little early). They knew who we were, gave us a brief tour, showed us our room and provided recommendations for our stay. Top notch welcome.#2 - Breakfast was fantastic! Best quiche I've ever had. Fruit/granola/yogurt followed by 2 choices of main dish every morning. We shared each entree, so we got to try everything. Delicious!#3 - The room had a lovely layout with plenty of room to relax. Great shower/water pressure. The deck added a nice touch to relax during the evening. Perfect bed.#4 - Location was ideal. 2 blocks from Main St. 1 block from ebike rentals. For us, we felt everything was within walking distance. Tranquil. We spent almost every day walking the less than 2 mile stretch to the beach. Beautiful scenery. And we were always welcomed in the courtyard when we returned by our host - asking about our day.PS - don't miss their fresh chocolate chip cookies they set out every afternoon. We definitely ate a few.
Great service, friendly and helpful staff, lovely range of breakfast (blueberry french toast was superb). Our bedroom had blinds which didn't quite keep out the light so a sleep mask is useful. Wonderful visit to Santa Barbara would love to come back.

Great find! They lend out beach cruiser bikes that you can use all day, very fun. Nice staff and apparently family owned/operated.
Very welcoming with many little extra touches. The room was very nice but the remote for the TV was not user friendly. The parking is cramped, so beware but very convenient. We had our breakfast from a local cafe delivered to our doorstep by doordash. We also opted to pay for a late checkout. All in all a very pleasant stay.
We loved our last-minute stay at Harbor House Inn! Our room felt like a little condo and had great amenities. Free parking, bikes, beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas for guests! It was a great value for the area, and the staff was kind and very professional. Highly recommend!

It is within a short walk to the beach as well as local restaurants, wine tasting houses and shopping.I definitely recommend this cozy Inn.

The location is next to the beach and a short walk from downtown (State street). Santa Barbara hotels are expensive. We both felt that this place knocks the value add out of the park. Location, Staff, and quality of room to price can't be beat.The bike rental was a nice perk. It was free and comes with a lock so that you can explore the city.The bed was comfortable memory foam.The shower head had good pressure.We also enjoyed our backyard.The staff was really nice. It's a small property and the staff takes advantage of that by learning your name before you check-in. Good stuff....feels nice to be expected.
