No stars for service as there isn't any to be had this is a check in and be alone type of place. No children allowed no pets. Very beautiful very peaceful.
What a wonderful place to stay!!!! My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The view of the lake was beautiful. It was nice to sit in the balcony in the early morning and enjoy a cup of coffee with my wife. It was so peaceful and pleasant. This is definitely a great place to stay and we will definitely book here again.
Hands down best cabin stay EVER! Highly recommended and will return. Went for our anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect ? Looking forward to checking out the other rooms! We were able to cook meals but the drive into downtown Eureka for restaurants wasn’t bad.
This place was amazing! My husband and I went on our honey moon here. We had amazing amenities and the view was incredible. It was very very clean and comfortable and private all the windows are tinted so you can only look out but not in. I highly recommend this place for couples
The accommodations were very comfortable and we had a great time. We also had a flat tire while there and they were incredibly helpful resolving the issue. It was very nice to see someone go the extra mile with such genuine kindness. We'll definitely be back.
This is our second time staying here and we really enjoy the suites and the views are spectacular. We love hanging out in the jacuzzi and looking at the lake and on a clear night the sky is lit up with so many stars. The suites are outfitted with everything you need, including a grill on the deck. It's a perfect spot if you wanted to bring your own food and drinks for the weekend and never leave. If you're going to be spending a lot of time away from the suite in downtown Eureka it may get tiresome making the drive back and forth, but the twisty Arkansas roads make the drive more enjoyable and fun.
Nice location. Hard to navigate modern campers to the sites with the narrow roads.Updated, their facilities are deteriorating and they don't seem to concerned about repairs or the concerns of their guests anymore.
20240817:The Restaurant at Lindsey's is an absolute gem that never ceases to amaze us, no matter how many times we dine here. Every visit feels like a personal experience, thanks to the consistently excellent service and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our latest visit was nothing short of spectacular. We started with drinks—Trout Water and a Coconut Pineapple Margarita—both outstanding choices that set the tone for the evening. The appetizer of fries topped with cheese and real bacon pieces was a decadent start, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The side salads, served with house-made Ranch dressing, were fresh and delicious, a testament to the care taken in every dish. For our main courses, we had fish tacos and a 20 oz ribeye cooked Pittsburgh Style rare. This is the ONLY place where I’ve ordered Pittsburgh Style and have it perfected every time. The ribeye was incredibly tender, perfectly marbled, and an absolute steal at $45. The sautéed green beans were crisp-tender and seasoned to perfection, rounding out a meal that was truly exceptional. To finish, we indulged in a moist chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and a generous scoop of ice cream nestled in the center—a delightful way to end an extraordinary meal. And let’s not forget the view! Overlooking the Red River, the scenery adds another layer of magic to the dining experience. (They also have fishing guides, rooms, etc.)We can’t recommend The Restaurant at Lindsey's highly enough. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back again and again!2020:The Pot O' Gold restaurant is an off the grid gem! We have eaten here several times with the most recent being on Friday night the 27th of December. This is an absolute fabulous place to get a Pittsburgh style steak! Lindsey cooks this 18 ounce ribeye himself, always charred to our perfection and temperature (and I'm a tough sell when it comes to a steak). The fried cornbread appetizer special was delicious, as were are accompaniments of salads, rolls, baked potato, and sauteed green beans. We finished with desserts of home made carrot cake and chocolate molten cake which dissolved in our mouths. Our server, Mallory, was exceptional, very attentive, and did a flawless job (all the staff participate in ensuring customer care). There is beer and wine available, I enjoyed a delicious Moscato. The servings are ample and we always have to-go boxes to take and enjoy the next day while relaxing on our houseboat. The Pot O' Gold restaurant is definitely a destination!
Beware. Stayed less than a week. Booked and paid through Expedia. Never ate at their restaurant or stepped foot in their store but somehow had $1100 in charges to our room. My best guess, giving them the benefit of the doubt, is that someone charged things to our room number. Worst case is that they just added charges to rip us off. We won't be back and will actively warn people away. The charges were ultimate removed but the entire experience left me uncomfortable with my stay.
The little red river is as beautiful as any in the world. And if you’re looking for a good time to catch some trout and just enjoy the outdoors. Lindsay‘s is a wonderful place to visit. They have some great cabins and the motel is very nice also. The guide services that they offer are absolutely amazing. The guys do an excellent job of explaining everything and making sure that you want for nothing while trying to fish. I always think that even if I don’t catch any fish, it’s OK, because the river is just that beautiful. But I usually don’t have a problem with that. when, considering where to go on the little red river. I would highly recommend Lindsay’s!
I was looking for a Father and Son fishing trip and after staying here I will never need to look any further either for myself or with family. Cabins rustic, clean, very well equipped/utensils, no stove but don't need got bbq with lid, river is very close and docks to fish from. Staff was very friendly and Hostess Teri and Rebecca, Guide "J", and Chef Tony were Exceptional in their skills. Being able to just relax on a seats provided porch in a quiet setting among trees was so good for the body, this place is it! They also provided really good coffee with maker. Pot O' Gold Restaurant was worth the wait.
Great staff, wonderful upgrades in all the cabins. Truly one of the best venues in Arkansas . They hosted our 90 person family reunion. Restaurant is outstanding.
We held our family reunion here several years in a row. The cabins were great. Access to the river, great fishing, and the restaurant cooked up our catch for us.I liked it so much, in fact, that I moved to Heber Springs and opened a business.
This review only pertains to the RV campground. We did not stay at the cabins or eat at the restaurant. Having said that, the place looks very nice. The grounds are well kept and the exterior of all the cabins look maintained and nice. The resort sits on a great location along the Little Red River and has a dock. The reason for the 3 star review is that the campground seems like an after thought. Sites are laid out poorly with sewer/water/electric hook ups in strange and odd locations. It looked like most sites were shared and very few had picnic tables or fire rings. We had reservations months in advance but decided not to stay. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and returned our deposit. While I can't recommend for campers everything else seems very nice.
Great cabin all around. Had everything we needed and was very private. Bed was super comfy and we really enjoyed sitting out on the large screened in back deck and seeing and hearing nothing but nature. Communication with the owner was perfect. The location was still very convenient to all Hocking Hills things. Will be back again.
Shower controls need to be replaced.Curtains for the bedroom do not cover the window completely. The hot tub had non working jets and one came out, while using it.
This was our second year staying at oak Valley, and it was absolutely amazing. The owners/employees are the sweetest people ever. The winery was the cutest place and even better food & wine! We will definitely come back every year to this beautiful place! Can not recommend them enough & can not wait until next year!
For my wedding we rented the spacious Rush Creek Retreat cabin for our out of town guests. I had 8-10 guests from out of town that stayed there and about 5 additional guests that visited, but didn’t stay the night. Everyone had so much fun. We had wine, food, bon fires, and enjoyed the hot tub with the crisp fall air. My guests loved the privacy and that there were not any bunk beds. It was all queen size beds at Rush Creek Retreat cabin. There were 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dining rooms, a large deck. The double bed rooms had private bathrooms. Then there were 2 shared bathrooms as well. Also, a laundry room. It’s such a stunning nature view too.My husband and I had The Kennedy cabin for our wedding night. It was absolutely beautiful. We rented The Jackson cabin when we returned in December. It was a spacious and very private cabin. We warmed ourselves next to the fire, enjoyed the hot tub (which feels so good when it’s cooler outside). We absolutely loved the Valley View Hills Winery during our visit. The brick oven pizza is delicious and we got to enjoy our favorite wines that we had at our wedding. We even got a case to take home. The cabins and restaurant were beautifully decorated for the holiday. Also, at the office they have a paper with suggestions of things in the area. My husband and I went hiking at the Steppes. It was about an 8 minute drive from the cabin. The views were breathtaking. They have caves, waterfalls, and trails. I even saw fish swimming below the ice at the bottom of a frozen waterfall. My husband and I will be back this fall/winter and probably every year after too.
Cabin was as presented, clean and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings in a great location. Mowed trails through the property great for a walk with family.
stayed here a few years ago..very good experience spotless clean cabin etc.. looking again..but wait !!..a $50 "cleaning fee" has now appeared since covid--so you are telling me your properties were dirty before covid???..another example of a business taking advantage of the covid cult by adding such a fee..what $50 to open the windows and spray some lysol around??? whats the difference between how you cleaned a cabin pre covid to now???needless to say I jogged on by and went elsewhere. sad that people will exploit a situation like this. sadly too may will think this fee is "for their protection "when it did not exist 2 years ago yet the cabin was just as clean then. wake up people and avoid business that try and exploit you !!APRIL 2023 UPDATE - cleaning fee for the one bed cabin gone up from $50-$75 (50%)and big cabins charging up to $175 to clean after a 2 night stay!!that Biden post Covid "transitory" inflation really kicking in.....IN reference to the business justifying $3500 a year cleaning costs due to "inflation" especially the price of chlorine tablets for hot tubs..be informed. I have a 400 gallon 6 person hot tub at home- the price of chlorine has increased significantly from around $12 per pound of 1 inch tablets for a floating sanitizer to around $18 per pound. I use around 1lb per month so $200 a year on average. must be some expensive toilet roll and lysol wipes to justify the other $3000 !!!. not buying the not increasing room rates argument. people..please be informed....too many business charging cleaning fees, service fees..credit card fees then have their hands out expecting tips alsoquite simple..decide to pay the fees..or look elsewhereBTW the Menonites that own a lot of cabins just south of Logan charge no booking fees, no cleaning fees and have better rates. Enough said- just have to book early as they book up months in advance at popular times
Love this place! Stayed at Kennedy in 2011, now here at Van Buren 1, never disappointed! READ the guest books in the cabins!! You never know what you may read about someone. We did, and it was like reading history books! Very cool! We'll be back again and again!
My husband and I had a just for two wedding and stayed at the Kennedy. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Before we arrived I always got quick and thorough answers to all of my questions and the Minister even build a fire in the fireplace for us! The cabin was clean and inviting. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back!
Great owners...clean facilities. There could have been some mirrors in the bedrooms for the families who had girls getting ready to attend the wedding...to free up bathroom space for the boys, but other then that...great place. Recycling is on your own here. We took ours 20 minutes into the Recycling center in town.
Had our small wedding ceremony at the venue and it was beyond beautiful the staff decorated perfectly and everything went better than I could have possibly imagined! They were fabulous and our special day was perfect. The bouquet was gorgeous as well. I have nothing but amazing things to say about their wedding organizers!!!
