In May 2024 I spent one night at the Best Western Plus in Dalton, GA. What a delightful surprise. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in nice surroundings. I had not expected it to be so elegant. The room has perfect – spotless and well-appointed. The breakfast was very good. I definitely recommend this Best Western if you are visiting Dalton.
Stayed here coming and going and had two solid experiences. Woke by a loud argument in the parking lot once, but that seems unusual for here. Very near the Chilis for a quick bite. Clean room, clean sheets. Bed was softer than we would choose. Seemed updated fairly recently. Had a walkin shower -without a bath tub. Curtains good for keeping out light when you are trying to sleep in. Front desk had little convenience shop with ice cream, beverages, microwave meals. Fridge worked fine. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
PositivesPlenty of counter spaceExcellent breakfast bar. The espresso grinder was not working.Lots and lots of wall outlets! The clock had both USBa and USBc.The AC fan ran all night. (Constant on feature). Wonderful.Quiet room facing college driveRoom was clean.NegativesAllergies. I sneezed all day the next day. I'm allergic to dust and dogs. Not sure if the pillows were not hypoallergenic or if opening the curtains did it.Small room. Big desk and big chair just don't fitNo glass walk in shower like I expected. White tub.Careful if you walk on grass. Looks like this is a pet friendly hotel.I think that at $159 for a Tuesday it was overpriced .The hotel is an older property and it shows the signs. The beds seemed smaller than queen sized. The wall thermostat was not hooked up to the a/c.There was leftover water in my Keurig had water in it that I had to dump out. I never use water left by someone else.
It was ok. Wouldn’t stay again if I had another choice. The beds were squeaky, elevators were squeaky, curtain rods were squeaky. The chair didn’t fit under the desk making it a tight squeeze in the front of the room. My son kept pointing out the bubbling and peeling on the bathrooms walls and ceiling. Coffee was out on a Saturday morning. I understand it was busy however should be staffing accordingly to keep up. Not worth what we paid for one night.
The check-in girl was not friendly. The sink had a terrible musty smell. When checking out, another girl said she’d just email my receipt. I double checked to see if they had my email address, and they did not.
Price was a little high for what you got. The room and common areas were clean and comfortable. The reason I only rated it 3 stars is it was more expensive than most of the neighboring hotels and didn’t include breakfast. Being so close to highway one comes to expect the opportunity for a bite before you get back on the road. My bad for not looking into the hotel more before booking.
Absolutely horrible management.. They charged me $250 for smoking in the room and I don’t smoke. Manger refused to remove the charge and told me to take it up with my credit card company. A $100 a night stay ends up costing me $350. I will never book a room owned or managed by Courtyard / Marriott and will recommend the same to friends & family..
