This hotel is located in the city and has a pedway connecting it with the convention center and Embassy theater. The room was nicer than some of the other Courtyard facilities that I have stayed at. Parking is in a public parking tower right next door.
Couch in room was uncomfortable. Breakfast was horrible. We are off really cheap plastic wear and eggs looked green and tasted horrible only thing good was banana and oatmeal. Used to be allot nicer. Oh yeah and don't expect to get room cleaned every day unless you want to pay a whole lot more. The restaurant was ok but usually had to wait and if you go for the half sandwiches they take the fries away.
Nice hotel. Breakfast is extra in the restaurant. Lots of great restaurants and pubs in walking distance. The lounge by the lobby is nice when meeting a group.
I was here for a two day meeting, not an overnight stay. I do not walk well and even the handicapped spaces in the garage were too far. The front desk person fed the street parking meter for me and would not take a tip.
We booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds and stayed here one night with a mix of family and friends. One room contained 3 adults; another contained 2 adults and 1 child. The property itself is centrally located and right in the heart of downtown. You are walking distance to a lot of restaurants and other local attractions (and a short car drive to even more.) The room itself was very nice and modern. Everything was clean and we had a nice view of Parkview Field. Beds were also very comfortable. This is the quality I would expect from a Marriott property and it did not disappoint! The pool was also nice (albeit a bit small) and so was the Fitness Center. Plenty of machines and spacious. The lobby was also very nice and spacious and definitely could've easily been used to get some work done or to gather with some friends and chill. I didn't eat at the restaurant inside the hotel but it definitely kept busy with a decent selection and prices were alright (keep in mind it is an on-property restaurant so you have to keep your pricing expectations in check on that regard) and same goes for the market. Although drinks were a bit pricey at $4.00 for a 20 oz. bottle, but everything else was decently priced. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here and would have no issue staying here again if I'm in the area.
I stayed at this location for a work event. It is located in walking distance to a lot of amazing restaurants! But really I am writing this review because I left my jacket there and after a few times of calling I finally go to someone willing to help me out. Letha understood that I had called 4 or 5 times to rectify the situation and she took it upon herself to locate my jacket, give me the information on how to ship it back, and called me after each step to make sure it was completed. She went above and beyond and was delightful the entire process. A wonderful hotel but 5 stars for Letha and her service!
My family stayed at the Marriott Courtyard for an event at the Convention Center. While we were gone, our room was broken into and we had many valuable things stolen. We were beyond disappointed with the lack of concern on the part of the hotel. There was no urgency to figure out what happened and they were not proactive in any way. When we provided evidence and asked questions as well as requested action, they were dismissive. It took 2 days and numerous emails to even receive a call from the general manager. We were told that our card entered the room at a certain time in which we were not at the hotel. They are satisfied with that being their response. It is alarming that the only answer is that our card was copied, most likely internally during check in because we had ours on our bodies at all times. The hotel is dismissive but this is absolutely a public safety concern. The ramifications of card copying and entering hotel rooms are really endless. We have filed a police report.
Warning. Do not stay here. Our gymnastics club stayed here last night and while at our competition someone with key card access enter one of the rooms in our party and stole all of their valuables. The police are aware and trying to help but the hotel staff doesn’t seem to care leading me to wonder. You shouldn’t have to worry about your stuff being stolen when you stay in a Marriott chain hotel. Hopefully Marriott will do the right think and take responsibility. This will be my last Marriott stay.Facts: while we were at the competition someone without force entered the room and stole personal property. I’ll let the readers make their own conclusions on how this could have happened and who would be a suspect.
I have brought large groups to this hotel several times and the staff here is incredible. They are extremely coordinated and work quickly and efficiently to resolve any issues. Most recently, a student left their white dress shirt on the bed when we checked out. It ended up in the laundry with all the sheets and the staff somehow tracked it down for us so we could get it to the student before our performance. They really go above and beyond and I will continue to recommend them!
Location off expressway. Rooms clean but if you have a bad back go smwhere w better matresses otherwise nice. Service great. Morning breakfast just okay but great staff. Decent stay decent price. Never looked at the pool
We were all (2 adults+8year old child) forced to sleep on 1 king bed, because of travel agent mistake. But the problem is we weren't offered a cot for our 8 year old. The guy at the front desk never mentioned it or offered it to us. We had very little sleep, because of how crowded we felt on that bed with our child kicking us all night long and sleeping just fine. The next morning we switched rooms and the room had a super wobbly desk. We were worried it was going to collapse as our child tried to sit at it and color. We had it replaced, but the other one was also flimsy and not too much better. Housekeeping was great, the lady was very nice and did a great job.The pool had dirt in it, that looked like dead spiders at the bottom. It also had a lot of ants on the side of the pool - ick. No shower to wash off in the pool area.Location is great, staff mostly helpful, except for some staff members have no knowledge that cots are available. Decent parking and decent breakfast.
We got to the hotel late and tired and Christian really took care of us. He was such a helpful delight after being stressed looking for a hotel. My partner said Natalie was sweet. Very friendly staff. We came for a quick stay and we were very happy with the service.
We're Hilton honors members so we've stayed at multiple different places under the Hilton umbrella. This one in particular was very well kept and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good- little bit of something for everyone. Hot food was definitely hot! The rooms were nice, beds comfy and we had a little fridge (that's always a plus). We didn't use the pool but but there were some kids looking as though they were really enjoying it. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars was because the clearly forgot to update this one. We got spoiled with the digital check in and being able to open the door with our app. Updated hotels also have beautiful stand up showers and this one has a tub.
Cristian was great at his job, the hotel was overbooked one night of our stay and he made it happened. The next shift not so much. They did not have the training on how to approach someone with a disability, how to approach a REAL service dog wearing markings and how to treat someone with a disability. Coaching opportunity; if you see a dog check to see if it’s wearing identifiers. She did, though it’s not required per ADA. If you still have concerns, ask if she is working. Don’t attack the person demanding the room number “so I can be sure you’re being charged for the dog”. Also don’t ask how are you disabled! It’s illegal and awful to ask. You can ask what service does she provide but again a simple is she working is probably the most polite and politically correct way. As for the associate trying to defuse the situation thank you but, please don’t pet the dog, she was trying to work and at the time I needed her to focus. As far as treating someone with a disability, just treat them like a normal person! Don’t be a jerk and talk down to them. What’s sad is this happened in front of the day time manager, the rep said you can talk to her if you want, no she didn’t make those statements and I’m she she coached her rep afterwards. Also the site say EV charging there is not. Rooms were dated but clean. Despite the day shift it’s a ok stay. Sadly the nights we had to stay were very pricey due to capacity I assume. Stayed here to meet up with some old army buddies from several different areas of the country. It was the halfway mark for us.
It has been a while since I had stayed here. I was back in the area for business and was able to book a room. The hotel was as I remembered. It is well run with friendly and efficient staff, very clean, and quiet. I will stay again when business brings me to the area.
The hotel is undergoing construction but that didn't hinder the cleanliness of the hotel or the hospitality of the staff. We were in town for a show choir competition and had 75+ staying overnight. Breakfast was hot and they kept the food coming to make sure everyone had something to eat.
