We recently had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. Our window was obscured by an overhang which had a neon light on after dark. Our bathtub/ shower drain didn't work and the hotel didn't fix it, when this was brought to their attention. The bath towels were the size of hand towels. There was not enough seating in the breakfast room to accommodate the number of guests wanting to sit. Overall very disappointing for me as an IHG Gold Member.
It's a standard Holiday Inn. The breakfast choices were slightly better than average, but the fitness center only had 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical and 1 bike, which is insufficient for its size. Plus, the room was overly warm and had no fans. Knocked 2 full stars off my rating because of this.
Beautiful looking hotel but VERY loud . Even our 3rd floor room was very loud . Poorly sound proofed we hear a constant traffic , slamming doors and guests in other rooms . Also hotel DOES NOT offer daily housekeeping as website clearly stated. Upon asking the desk clerk , I was told daily housekeeping had to be “requested” . Would not recommend ?There was no DO NOT Disturb sign posted , the desk clerk advised me of this policy that clearly is not represented on the website.
I don't know why this hotel has such good reviews. The only good thing about it were the nice people at the front desk. For being charged almost $250 for one night, I cannot believe how gross this hotel was. The first room I was put in, there was no hot water when I tried to shower. I asked to be moved to another room and I was put in an adjoining room with a family of screaming children on one side and the elevator on the other, the room was FILTHY with dirty footprints in the bathroom, the vanity was noticeably separating from the wall and all the corners of the entire room were gunked up.I did not feel safe riding in the elevator as it was very jerky and loud. Watch where you are walking because the tiles in the hallway are all wavy. The continental breakfast was okay but cold. I wouldn't recommend staying here because it should cost $85, not $250..
Only thing good about this place was the location . I've stayed in just about every hotel in Frankenmuth and this was the the dirtiest. Grant you room looked pretty with a fireplace and big rooms. However, the beds were hard the bathroom was dirty. Pull-out bed in sofa was dirty with what looked like pee. Bathroom was dirty and not enough towels and wash clothes for guests. Had to ask for conditioner to be filled , clean sheets, and more towels. Thin walls. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING. Breakfast was meh.
No clock in room. Both sink and tub have no stopper should you want a bath. The sheer curtains have a big rip in them. For a king sz bed you get 4 small pillows big enough for your head.Have stayed in a few of these country Inn and this is the worst.
Overall I give Country Inn and Suites 4 stars. The employees here are wonderful and very friendly at the front desk. My first stay at this hotel. Got a great rate on the room. Stayed here 3 nights. No major problems with the room. I would have liked a clock in the room but it wasn't a major deal. The hotel is in need of some updating though. Offers a free breakfast every morning with both hot and cold selections.
Upon check in was told carpet in the room was just cleaned and may be a little damp. The carpet did not look clean and was wet the entire stay. Room was outdated. The window shade was falling apart. There was mildew in the shower. The room had a musty smell. The scrambled eggs at breakfast tasted like powder. The hotel needs to be updated throughout. Will not stay again.
DO NOT stay here! It may look nice on the outside and be close to the Birch Run outlets, but it is not worth your headache. We booked a stay for Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. Arrived at the hotel for 3pm check in, upon checking into the room, discovered a very large stain on both the chair in the room and on the bed, bedsheets and blankets did not appear washed and sheets were inside out. There was bits of toilet paper all over the floor, wrappers, and garbage from the previous people who stayed in the room that had not been vacuumed or swept up. We booked a suite with a jacuzzi and could not even use the jacuzzi because the vent and jets would not work. The vent above the tub looked as if it had not been cleaned in ages and was covered in black dust. In addition, the jacuzzi tub was dirty and covered in soap scum that could’ve been cleaned prior to our arrival. In addition to that, there was urine all over the bottom of the toilet seat that was not cleaned and a huge mold/water spot in the bathroom above the top of the shower and would leak water and drip when the people on the floor above us used their water. The air conditioner in the room would not work very well as the filters hadn’t been changed in god knows how long. We booked via a third party so could not get a refund and was offered a free nights stay. Pretty disappointed since we were stuck with the room as it was Labor Day weekend and everywhere else was booked.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at better motels than this. It was gross if it wasn’t for a wedding we would have left. The rooms were dirty and unkept. The pillow had brown stains, there was a condom wrapper under the bed, and our friend had bed bugs. Also the sprinkler head was missing and a wad of paper was stuck in it, along with multiple holes in the wall. This hotel is in need of a series overhaul and new management. Will never stay here again, I would rather sleep in a tent at a camp ground.
