The food, service and environment were perfect. We had drinks in the Champagne Room to begin with which was just lovely, such a nice space. We then had dinner in one of the private dining rooms. The meal was fantastic. Each course and all the sides were delicious, the extra touches of the warm bread with the tomato dip and the little madeleines with our coffee were lovely additions. The staff working were brilliant, so friendly and attentive but also discrete. Thank you for a great night - we plan on rebooking for next Xmas!

A exquisite hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are superb. A modern smokers lounge vibe throughout the hotel. Very aesthetic and dark. The room was exceptionally clean and comfy with amenities like slippers, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and shower and bath soaps. It also features a mini bar fridge stocked with food, wine and beer. (At a charge)We stayed in 3 separate rooms the night before my brothers wedding and the hotel made the kind gesture of giving my brother (the groom) the entirety of the mini bar free of charge. The bar downstairs matches the aesthetic of the rest of hotel. Staffed by equally helpful and professional staff. We throughorly enjoyed our stay. I would recommend.

Had an amazing first stay at this hotel. We arrived at our check in time and got seen to straight away giving some information on where things are located within the hotel. We stayed in the signature suite room that had a complimentary mini bar in our room. The staff were all very professional, friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was outstanding! The bed is very comfortable and the room was super clean. Will always be such a memorable stay and we cannot wait to come back again. 💍

Great hotel very conveniently placed. I stayed here after seeing how highly rated it was on Google and it certainly did not disappoint. Very modern and sleek design. Was competitively priced and the rooms were very clean. Sky TV in the room was great and the showers are top notch. Would definitely stay here again is ideal for a night away with the partner. Great hotel, very luxurious and also very friendly and helpful staff🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What has happened with One Devonshire Gardens bistro formerly one of Glasgow’s premier restaurants and now heading towards being a bog standard instantly forgettable eatery.

LocationThe hotel is located outside the city centre and in fact slightly further away from the general Westend area of Glasgow. Nonetheless, it is a nice location, there is some car park spaces outside the hotel.BuildingThe building itself is several old Glasgow townhouses put together to form the hotel. It has period features such as stained glass windows, wood panelling and wooden staircases. I found the layout somewhat confusing, the hotel has put in link corridors between the buildings but it is difficult to know which direction I am heading. There are also various passages and doors which end up taking you to areas which I didn’t think I was going to. It isn’t the typical wide-open reception which is typically seen.RoomI stayed 3 nights in a Classic room called Botham. The room faces North and it has high ceilings as expected in his period building. In many ways, I was pleased to be given this room, when I stayed it was hot and the sun from the south would have really heated the room up. It is important to note, that there is no air conditioning in this hotel if it is hot it is simply open the window and they have provided a Dyson fan in the room. The first impression of the room looks pretty good, until you look closer, there is quite a lot of wear in places. The finish overall in the bathroom is quite poor, where there is a gap, someone just stuck a bit of wood in the gap and crudely painted it over. The room generally is kept clean, but there are times when I find myself sitting down at the desk for example the lamp shade could have been cleaner, and the top of the shower heads has never been cleaned during my time staying there. I am not sure if there is a timetable for when these should be cleaned or if there is an inspection on cleaning because there seems to be poor attention to detail.BreakfastBreakfast is in the dining room. My booking came with breakfast. There are 2 options you can opt for the continental option or the cooked version which is more expensive. With the cooked version you can also have continental as well. The food offering is fine, I have attached some pictures I had the Full Scottish which I have attached photographs showing how parts of the bacon were burnt. Whilst I was staying there, another guest spoke with the restaurant manager to stay he had ordered 2 different things and neither was tasty. I have ordered a different breakfast again with partly burnt bacon, the hotel seems to have a knack for burning bacon.ServiceI found the service to be not bad, due to the set up of all the kooks and crannies I never really see many staff around. Check-in and check-out was smooth enough. I would say the service is satisfactory but not memorable. There is no one I came across that I felt really made me memorable about them.OverallI would say I probably won’t stay there again, location is fine but if you want to explore the Westend or Glasgow City then you will need to get a taxi or walk to the Westend. This is supposed to be a 5-star hotel which I wouldn’t have guessed. I would put it closer to a top 3 star or a 4 star realistically. The rooms are really quite worn in places and nothing much looks like it has been done to update or renew it. It is getting somewhat tatty. There are now many good hotels in Glasgow I don’t think it is quite up there anymore.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway in the Jack Vettriano suite. The hotel lobby is charming and the room was amazing with a roll top in the bedroom; the bathroom down a level was spacious with dual showers. The staff were friendly and helpful (they took numerous calls from me on inquiries and reached out pre-arrival to check that all was to plan) and the location is amazing in the west end. We truly enjoyed our time there. Thank you!Notes:street parking is a 3 hr limit, but you can leave you car and book a subsequent 3 hours when expired - there seemed to be a good amount of availability.the bar is lovely, warm and inviting but gets to capacity quickly so go at off hoursthe towels are the one disappointment - scratchy and not to par for a 5 star hotel - if that is the only thing i can complain about that probably tells you all you need to know (well that and there are limited plugs for say a CPAP etc. but there was a mag safe charger).

We had an enchanting overnight stay at Hotel Du Vin! Set across five charming townhouses, the hotel has so much character. Our suite was full of personality, and we enjoyed relaxing by the cozy, fire-lit bar with a wide selection of drinks. The staff are warm and welcoming, always ready to help. After checkout, I realised I’d left my AirPods behind, and they went above and beyond to ensure an easy retrieval. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I like to treat myself to a luxury experience periodically so when I was able to book a night at One Devonshire Gardens for £100 I was unable to resist. This charming hotel exceeded my expectations. The quirky rooms are scattered in a maze of corridors connected along 5 converted Town Houses. The Bar and Bistro were furnished in the manner of a Scottish Country House. They had a relaxed luxurious atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient. I had booked an evening meal on arrival. This is advisable because the Bistro can be busy. The food in the Bistro had a modern Scottish influence. After a delicious meal I retired to the comfortably furnished lounge bar for several drinks.I would recommend One Devonshire Gardens for an overnight stay or a delicious meal if you are visiting Glasgow.

Stayed here for two nights to attend daughter's wedding. Reception staff were superb in juggling rooms to enable my Mum who has mobility issue's on a much easier time getting about. Dining staff were also superb in accommodating a large group of us the night before wedding very attentive and helpful. Have used the hotel before for a Birthday party and lunches previously however this was our first stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The rooms were lovely, very elegant and old fashioned, great shower, huge tub, very spacious and comfortable, unique furniture. The building was absolutely beautiful too, lovely decor and stained glass windows! I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel in the 1910s. The food was fantastic too, we had an incredible five course meal and the food and drink at the lounge were also top notch. I would definitely love to stay again.
