What a disappointment! A stunning property but the front desk staff could not have cared less about service had they tried. The check-in time was 4pm. I arrived at 4:20 and had a 5pm work function. I was told my room was not ready and that they could not give me an ETA as to when it would be ready. I asked them if there was a place I could change for my work function and I was told there was none. I told them I would change in a co-workers room if they could deliver my luggage to my room when it was ready as I was tied up that evening, As I headed to dinner, I was given the key to my room. Upon return to my room at 11:20pm, my luggage had not been delivered. When I went down to the front desk, again I was met with apathy. No apologies, no offer of anything (a comped bar drink, a Starbucks, whatever). Again, major disappointment!

Ideal location downtown Charlotte. Near The Alley bars and restaurants. Nice executive lounge for members. Near many 5-star restaurants. Gorgeous art. Very nice rooftop bar. Excellent room style, comfort, and amenities. Cleaning staff is very friendly and thoughtful. So relaxing here.

I travel frequently and have come to expect underwhelming service at most “high end” hotels. My recent stay at the Grand Bohemian Charlotte was quite a pleasant surprise. Be advised that customer service and satisfaction is quite alive and well at this hotel. From the front desk personnel who always greet you with a welcoming smile and a request to please inform them if there is something that will make your stay more pleasurable, to the wait staff at Micro restaurant like Horace and Jackie who accommodated my craving for breakfast despite my arriving 15 minutes late, it was quite clear that their guests are their primary and ONLY focus. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. I rarely give five stars for any review but this rating is well deserved.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in years. Every single person on the staff provided outstanding service. They have a very convenient complimentary local car service. The room was spotless and they provide daily housekeeping and turn down service. They provided all the complimentary room options one would need (toiletries, iron, safe, coffee/tea bar, and a magnifying mirror). The room service was also easy and food was great. The Executive lounge was fully stocked with a wonderful variety of drinks and snacks and was the perfect place to catch a view of the baseball park and have a meeting with my co-workers. This is my new go-to hotel in Charlotte!

Very interesting high end Marriott property in downtown Charlotte. First, I will say that the staff is definitely on the job and quickly caters to any of your needs or requests. The views from the rooms (I had a high corner room) provide a wide canvas to see most of the city and activity. The suites are very spacious and decked out. You may consider the styling a bit over the top or gaudy even. The elite lounge is on the top floor and of course provides even more views of the area. There is a swanky restaurant also on the top floor where you can sit outside on the terrace. Unfortunately the entire area is reserved for the restaurant so it’s not really possible to just hang out up there and have a drink, cigar or just socialize. There is valet parking but if you have an oversized vehicle, you will need to park in the garage across the street. Since you are downtown, literally around the corner are all kinds of restaurants and shops you could want, it was very difficult to select a dinner choice. With all that said, it’s a wonderful and unique hotel and worth checking out if you’re downtown Charlotte.

Exceptional hotel. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Great drinks & cool vibe at the rooftop bar, fantastic executive lounge, and overall excellent ambiance everywhere. Above & beyond friendliness and helpfulness from Nolan in concierge. Nolan was the absolute best! Truly a 5 star experience.

Beautiful hotel and an absolutely phenomenal hotel staff. I would typically give an experience like this 5 stars but unfortunately, since this is in downtown and facing the city, it was SO hard to sleep with the cars driving by blasting music on a Friday and Saturday night. It literally felt as if the cars were in the room with me and that the glass windows were paper thin. I understand this is no fault to the hotel but it’s just a heads up to others that want to stay here.

An ornate and interestingly appointed hotel! Every detail in the rooms is intriguing. The art is thought provoking. Even the room keys and water bottles have art on them. Enjoyed their bar and restaurant. Great location for Bank of America stadium.

By far one of the best hotel experiences I have had. From the moment we arrived, the valet staff were incredibly helpful & welcoming. We stayed for two nights, so they were able to help us out a great deal. Connor, Dalcota, and Kyle were prompt, professional, and extremely courteous- always asking us if we needed anything and grabbing doors for us without asking. Highly recommend leaving your car overnight if needed, it’s in good hands! The front desk staff were also incredibly nice and helpful. They gave us some great recommendations for places to stop by in the area. Definitely some of the best customer service I’ve experienced.Overall the hotel was trendy, accommodating, and had a great location. Will definitely be back in the future!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bohemian Grand Hotel in Charlotte, and I can't say enough about the exceptional customer service I experienced. From the moment I arrived, the parking staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensured a hassle-free parking experience. The guest services team was equally impressive, always ready to assist with a warm smile and a genuine desire to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They provided valuable local insights, making my trip even more enjoyable.Housekeeping was nothing short of top-notch. My room was always impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. One of the best features of this hotel is its prime location. It's within walking distance of the Panthers stadium, and the convenience of being close to great food options and the on site Roof Top Lounge and Bar truly enhanced my stay. It's a place where you might find it difficult to leave the hotel, thanks to its fantastic amenities and the incredible service provided by the staff. If you're planning a trip to Charlotte, I wholeheartedly recommend the Bohemian Grand Hotel. The exceptional customer service and the overall experience truly set it apart, making it the ideal choice for a memorable stay in the city.

Our experience at the JW Marriott Charlotte Downtown was somewhat mixed. The valet staff, particularly Rafa and David, were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Their high level of service is what you expect from a JW Marriott. The room was also incredibly clean, and the ambiance of the hotel was top-notch.However, the overall service beyond check-in and valet was lackluster. As a vegan, I found the dining options disappointing. While I had hoped for more variety, the rooftop bar and other on-site dining venues offered very limited vegan options. When dining at Dean’s, the hostess, who was responsible for getting Chef Josh for us, repeatedly interrupted the conversation, insisting that there was "no way" I could get any vegan meat because she knew the chef. Her manner was unprofessional, especially for a hotel of this caliber. In contrast, Chef Josh was very accommodating, even offering to prepare whatever ingredients we could purchase ourselves, but that isn’t the type of solution guests expect at a luxury hotel. I politely explained to the hostess that both JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton are known for accommodating dietary restrictions, and that telling a guest something is "impossible" is simply not acceptable. In addition to the dining issues, the service at the spa was also disappointing. When I tried to inquire about the available spa options, the lady at the spa reception was neither warm nor welcoming. Instead of taking the time to explain the available services, she tried to rush me into booking an appointment time before even showing me a brochure or discussing the options. It felt like a hurried process, as if the goal was just to fill a slot rather than provide a relaxing, personalized experience. Additionally, the spa itself is a small boutique spa with very limited offerings—only facials and massages are available, which is quite restrictive for a JW Marriott property. Finally, the service at the Aura rooftop bar was far below what I expect as a wel traveled Titanium Elite member. I have left a separate review addressing the poor treatment we received from the bartender, video clip is attached. While the cleanliness and valet service were the highlights of our stay, the overall service experience, from the dining to the spa, left much to be desired. I hope these areas are improved for future visits.

Running to JW Marriott for a great time is my all time favorite spot for a getaway. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst trips. I’m from Florida and today is my daughter’s birthday. We had plans to start at the Spa which was amazing! Then we were going to see the town and enjoy our time in Charlotte. Our plans were abruptly changed when we found out the hotel had charged a ridiculous hold for a room that was completely paid for in advance. The manager Sophie confidently said there’s nothing that she could do for at least 3 to 5 days. To put everything in perspective, we are running from hurricane Milton to run into hurricane JW Marriott Charlotte in my opinion. They only offered $75 in credit for their restaurant and a drink. I truly expected more. The hold they put on my daughters card really hindered her birthday celebration. Can you imagine traveling almost 6 hours for a celebration and it being cut short. Well JW Marriott I will love to hear your response. We will be waiting…..

This hotel claims to be luxury but the hotel experience is beyond subpar. The customer service was awful, really rude front desk staff. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The hotel restaurant served us undercooked meat and everything was also under-seasoned. The pool has a max capacity of 18 people. The rooftop bar would not serve us past 10:30 pm on a Saturday night. Parking is atrocious. They offer valet but you will wait 20-30 minutes for the car when you need it. This hotel is not worth the price. Definitely would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel with many of the amenities expected from a JW Marriott. Located in the heart of Charlotte, the hotel is around the corner from a Starbucks Pick Up store. The rooms are modern and clean. Nice executive lounge on the second floor serving breakfast. Snacks and bottled non alcoholic drinks served throughout the day. Gym is medium sized and pool next to an outdoor bar. Valet parking is $48 overnight with fast service.

It’s a JW—perfection is the baseline. From the moment you step in, you know you’re in good hands. Andrea R. at reception was wonderfully welcoming and friendly, while Nancy in the Executive Lounge was attentive and kind, making sure everything felt just right. The rooms are clean, spacious, and unbelievably comfortable. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a JW. The location has that perfect balance of safety and ambient noise, just enough to remind you you’re somewhere vibrant, but never intrusive.Moses gives his full recommendation for the JW Marriott. Honestly, how could he not?
