Everything was beautiful! The owners are so kind and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and right at home. The food was so delicious and the rooms are divine. My boyfriend and I will continue to dream of the eggs Benedict until we come again. 100% recommend and we will be going again!
The Tower Cottage is a gem of Point Pleasant! Tony & Maureen were so kind and welcoming for our weekend with them. They were helpful with any questions we had and were so kind & thoughtful. The BNB is perfectly situated just a few blocks from the beach, so you don't get the noise of the boardwalk, but it is still extremely walkable. We also walked home from a night in downtown PP, although some spots you had to cross a highway. But still only a 15 minute walk from downtown. When we went to the beach for the day, the hotel supplied us with beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, water, and beach passes! The breakfast was absolutely delicious both mornings we were there--everything is made with intention and love, you can just tell! The eggs Benedict was to die for, and the fruit on the side was super fresh and tasty. The room was spotless and comfortable--the perfect size for two of us. My only complaint is that the wifi was pretty spotty, but I had good service otherwise.Overall, it was a lovely stay and we will be back !!
The Tower cottage in is an incredible place to stay.It feels like you have made a time travel back to the Victorians. We stayed there the weekend before the memorial weekend. Even the beach is near by, the neighborhood is very quiet. The rooms are gorgeous and so romantic. I had the chance to have a peek in all of them.Prepared with so much love, it felt like home in a second. Everything you might need during your stay, is prepared and available. The bed was so comfortable and everything was perfect.Toni and Maureen hosted us like family members. The delicious breakfast was served in the second floor and was prepared with love, fruit, cake and I highly recommend the eggs Benedict. At tee times Maureen served homemade goodies! Just delicious! We definitely come back!Thank you Maureen and Toni for having us!Barbara & Alex
Incredible B&B. Very clean like stepping back in time. Beautiful room we stayed in the tower. Whirlpool tub for two. Shower fireplace and the luxurious bed so comfortable. In a very quiet neighborhood this time of year. Breakfast was eggs Benedict on a croissant. A jar of fruit with homemade pineapple sorbet really delicious.
The room was fantastic. The fireplace was warm and inviting and the other amenities were exceptional. The spa tub was another favorite. Tony was polite, helpful, and inviting. We appreciated his food recommendations. The breakfast delicious. We will definitely come back
The tower b and b was a lovely VictorianInn nestled in a quiet neighborhood setting! Toni and Maureen, the innkeepers were so attentive and welcoming! Delicious chocolate covered pretzels and cookies were homemade ready for the taken by the Christmas village! The lights on the Inn were gorgeousand filled us with holiday spirit! We will return! It was a great escape weekend for us!Go! You will not be disappointed!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tower Cottage over the winter for a night away, and it was the best. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the staff, and the breakfast in the morning. I would come back in the summer and even off-season! Highly recommend staying here.
Tower Cottage Inn in Pt Pleasant is a gem. Beautifully decorated and maintained, beyond clean and comfortable. The breakfasts they served were truly gourmet and made fresh - from scratch. We stayed for 3 nights and never ate a meal the rest of the day after those amazing breakfasts!! We barely had a desire for dinner LOL. Tony and Maureen go out of their way to make your stay perfect, and it truly was. Thank you both!!!
Writing a review takes great effort b/c of how busy/demanding life is but in this case I just had to -- my husband and I came to the area for a wedding at the Bay Head Yacht Club on a Friday and after looking at the hotel choices I decided to search for a B&B instead. What a gem we found at The Tower Cottage. Tony is a wonderful, kind and superb host who we personally got to know the few days we spent in Point Pleasant. He and his wife have worked incredibly hard to create an environment for their guests. The breakfasts hit the spot, our room was so clean, so thought-through and tastefully created. It is a great location if you are a beach person. Thank you Tony for a wonderful stay and I hope to visit again this Fall when the beach isn't as busy. You are a hard working couple! Hershey PA
I'm so glad I stayed at The Tower Cottage B&B - it was perfect for a solo getaway. The neighborhood is residential, lots of families and dog walkers around, and it was a quick walk to both town and beach. The room was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was clean, deep, and relaxing. Breakfast each day was generously portioned and delicious. Keurig machine in the room was convenient for coffee anytime. Tony and his team do a wonderful job making guests feel welcome and comfortable. I've already rebooked!
My wife and I rented two rooms with the second for our close friends who were celebrating their 25th anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by Tony who was so welcoming that we immediately felt at home. Everything about the place is impressive…the decor was amazing and the rooms were so inviting that we almost didn’t want to leave to go to dinner. After a very restful nights sleep, we awoke to a delicious breakfast that added the finishing touch to a wonderful weekend! I highly recommended The Tower Cottage…it is awesome.
My friends and I booked the Wilbraham very last minute after our flights to Florida got cancelled, and we are so glad we did! The staff was very kind, and the mansion was so beautiful. We had a great time sitting on the porch and swimming in the indoor pool. We loved the breakfast and the baked goods at tea time each day. The location was also perfect. We walked to the beach, restaurants, shops, and only had to use the car for a few out of town excursions. There was so much to do in Cape May we wished we could stay even longer. I will definitely be back again.
I recently called to make a change to a reservation, since I was no longer able to go on my trip. When I asked if I might be able to make a change of the guests, the person on the line just hung up on me. While I understand sticking to policies, I cannot endorse this location due the abruptness of the hang up and unwillingness to help me figure out an alternative vacation plan.
Firstly, this was my first experience at a bed and breakfast. My son and I absolutely loved it here. The rooms in the mansion are cozy and authentic. The service was phenomenal. I can't thank Chris and Doug enough for accommodating my 12 year old when it came to the bikes, especially knowing that not many kids come to this location. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area as well as the heated indoor pool, what a plus. I want to take a moment also to say that all the staff were extremely kind and pleasant. Breakfast was awesome. Tea time is great as well. I highly recommend the Wilbraham Mansion to anyone who is looking for a quiet space on vacation, close to the beach and center square but far enough from all the hustle and bustle of beach life. Thank you again for a phenomenal time.
This was such an amazing experience! My husband and I always wanted to try a Bed and Breakfast! Well I looked up places in Cape May with an indoor pool-and this ended up being the perfect fit!!! So much old historic character everywhere, yet, all the most updated personal desires; most beautiful 2 person Jacuzzi Tub, a huge shower for two. All the updated plumbing with all the historic character!!! So cool, so clean, and you actually feel like you are a guest in their home. If I had to reach for a complaint-it was trying to work the Direct TV lol And as I was telling Chris at Checkout, he assured me to mention it to him next time, and he will help with to navigate it. We will be going back as often as possible, as this was one of the most comfortable, simple, easy, and pleasant romantic weekends we had in ages❤️
This weekend my husband and I stayed there for the 4th time ! We absolutely love the Wilbraham! We love staying in the original house! Chris is absolutely wonderful, made as feel at home as always! Breakfast was a 5 star ! We will most definitely return in the spring! Thank youJohn & Diane DaSilva
My friend and I stayed here last week. We loved that we were able to check in at 1pm with no hassle. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in room 1 which was spacious yet cozy. Breakfast was really good too. I didn't take advantage of the snack time since me and my friend were out and about but it sounded delicious. There was ample parking and it was close to a lot of things so we were able to walk around. I would definitely stay here again.
I stay here every year with my partner. It's a very laid-back place with good breakfast, though I wish the portions were bigger. They offer beach tags, beach chairs, and bikes with your stay. They also have outdoor showers. Everything is within walking distance; CVS, ice cream, pancake restaurant, liquor store, tea shop, other restaurants, beach (15 min walk). I love the in-room jacuzzi's in the suites buildings. Heated indoor pool is nice, but it feels like it should have more furniture in there.
As a family…we loved everything about Wilbraham! The charm of the BBB, great service…especially the daily top notch breakfast! What sets this place apart from BBB is the indoor pool! Definitely will be returning!
I am writing this review with a heavy heart and lingering disappointment, following an unfortunate experience at the Wilbraham Mansion in Cape May, NJ. A stay that was initially intended to be a joyous, peaceful retreat swiftly spiraled into a distressing ordeal that ended with us being asked to vacate our room due to the presence of our toddler. I feel it's only fair to forewarn other potential visitors, especially those with young children, about the non-inclusive policies and uncompromising attitudes we encountered during our stay.Upon arrival, after a 3 hour drive, the charm and elegance of the 19th-century architecture were indeed impressive, creating a beautiful backdrop for what we had anticipated would be an idyllic family getaway. Regrettably, the aesthetics of the mansion and its ambiance, however enchanting, could not compensate for the unwelcome reception that awaited us.Although the Wilbraham Mansion's policy of not accommodating children below the age of 12 was not clearly communicated to us at the time of booking, the management did not consider this a sufficient reason to exhibit any form of understanding or compromise. We were taken aback by their rigid stance and their apparent lack of interest in retaining us as guests. Our excitement was quickly replaced by a feeling of indignation when we were asked to leave the premises.Throughout our brief time there, we found the staff to be unfriendly, unaccommodating, and surprisingly insensitive to our situation. Rather than exploring possible solutions or offering alternatives, we were met with a cold, uncompromising response that resulted in an abrupt and undeserved end to our vacation.Furthermore, in an era where many establishments strive to embrace inclusivity and accommodate guests of all ages, Wilbraham Mansion's stringent policy seems anachronistic and impractical. It is disheartening that they have chosen to exclude an entire demographic, potentially alienating many prospective guests who, like us, wish to share the beauty of historic Cape May with their children. Finally, it is worth noting that the inconvenience caused by this ordeal extended beyond the emotional toll. The sudden need to find alternative accommodations put a financial strain on our trip that could have been avoided with better communication and more accommodating policies from the establishment. After driving 3 hours, I intended to enjoy a nice weekend with my wife (who is 8 months pregnant) and my toddler. I was in disbelief at how we were kicked out of our room the moment we went into it just because we have our toddler with us. I noted that in the booking, and never received any communication against it.In conclusion, my experience at Wilbraham Mansion was a harsh deviation from the warm, welcoming atmosphere typically associated with bed-and-breakfast establishments. The mansion's uncompromising adherence to a restrictive and poorly-communicated policy has led to this one-star review. Until they reconsider their approach to families and refine their communication regarding age restrictions, I would advise prospective guests, especially those with young children, to look elsewhere for accommodation in Cape May.
We stayed here for the first time at the mansion last year and it was amazing! Love the vibe of the place. The cakes they always had out were so good, the pool was warm, the jet tub was really clean, and the bikes were great for a day on. We will be staying here again next month for my birthday and im really looking forward to it. Highly recommend!
I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff at Wilbraham Mansion!!!! The owners were beyond fantastic during the booking process and were able to send info about local restaurants and things to do. Upon check in, we met Chris who was so incredibly accommodating and made the process SOOOOO easy. We were so surprised at all the history and exquisite details throughout the mansion. Our Suite was clean and welcoming with a wonderful selection of soaps and shampoos along with fresh clean towels and wash cloths. The two person jacuzzi in suite made for just the relaxation we needed for an early Valentine's surprise for my Fiancé and I!! She was sooooo beyond excited. The tea time was fantastic with such a nice selection, followed by a wonderful afternoon sitting on the porch which was warm and inviting on a chilly afternoon. They even have nice bikes available that were a great way to explore town a bit and see some sites. The kitchen is available with fully stocked items and microwaves for the popcorn we bought. TheThe pool was warm and VERY clean with fresh towels provided there also. The morning breakfast was a wonderful treat with (a family historic recipe from their mother) French toast with sausage links and eggs along with fresh fruit and muffins on the tables!!I meant what I said when I could go on and on and on!! Bottom line is GO see the staff and you will NOT be disappointed!!My fiance and I decided before we even left that we will be making this our annual Valentine's get away!!Thanks so much!!
We came here for our 25th anniversary. We are seasoned visitors to Cape May and this was our first stay at Wilbraham. Loved the location, as we walked to literally everything. We stayed in the oversized suite in the newer building. It did not disappoint. Total Victorian luxury with modern amenities. The heated pool, double shower with awesome water pressure, jacuzzi and fantastic bed were all just perfect. The owners were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. They accommodate dietary restrictions too. We will definitely come back. I see some reviewers had some complaints but that was not our experience.
We love staying here! Everything is perfect, romantic, luxurious and relaxing. The owners and staff are very accommodating. They always go above and beyond. We came down to Cape May to get married on the beach and came back to have photos taken on the property. Doug and Joanne are wonderful and helped to make our wedding dreams come true. Staff Joanna was helpful and pleasant at check in as well. We enjoy the 24 hour pool, early check in, late checkout, the delicious breakfast (especially the quiche), the two person in-room jacuzzi, the provided bikes, beach chairs, and the Victorian style decor. (Many more accommodations too long to list.) This place is a home away from home with much added luxury. Don’t look any further.
My fiancé and I spent 7 days at the Wilbraham Mansion during our vacation to Cape May. We were extremely impressed by the accommodations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect-- within walking distance to all the cute shops and popular restaurants and to the beach! It was so nice not having to drive to go out every day. The room was old fashioned, but that's the theme of this place. Everything was nice and clean. We stayed in a suite (there are two buildings, the main mansion and the back where the suites are) and loved the jacuzzi tub. We had free hot breakfast every morning and access to the kitchen, which they keep stocked with bottled water, juice and random snacks. Also has an indoor heated pool, which we definitely took advantage of. We loved staying here and are excited to come next summer!
