Convenient to everything, this hotel was worth the money. I like the added ambience of the fireplace in the room. The rooms were clean and parking ample. They do have a pool but it was October so we didn’t use it. We missed the breakfast (closes at 9am) so nothing to rate. I’d definitely stay again. Close to everything (within 15 min).
By far one of the best experiences on the road. Stayed in two different rooms, both spectacularly clean, no pet smells ever! Ground floor huge and bright, 3rd floor with skylight that opens, a tad smaller; but stupid cool; light open all night.Breakfast is the best if any hotel.EVER!! That’s a very true statement, I’ll add a pic of menu; swear!Between the dog friendly, bountiful breakfast, stupid clean rooms, and easy location to Bangor and the freeways; this is your ONLY option unless they are full then good luck..lol
Such a charming hotel — Good vibes and great for walking your fussy baby around to look at all the historic decor! The rooms and the common areas were SPOTLESS and everything was so well displayed and so clean. For being an older building, you can really tell the owners and staff take amazing care of this hotel.10/10 would recommend!
Would like to single out Nick to begin with. His level of customer service made this stay for us. He was professional, helpful and friendly. Really went above and beyond. As for the hotel, as others have mentioned the location is pretty industrial and it's next to the highway. But it was mostly quiet at night and the access to the highway made getting everywhere quickly easy. So take the good with the bad. The hotel has a vintage feel to it but it's intentional and the rooms are very clean. We stayed in one of the themed suites and the teenagers loved it. Would stay again if headed through there.
Room, hotel common areas, elevator, etc were very clean and well maintained. Whirlpool/hot tub was clean and the room it was in was pleasant to be in. Pool was clean and refreshing. If you want an outward facing window as opposed to a skylight type window in your room, be sure to ask for it. I had no idea and ended up with the skylight type window and felt that the room was very dark, even with it open. Overall, I was very pleased and comfortable with our choice of hotels just a little pricey, but aren’t they all?
Exactly what we needed. Staff were super friendly. Location is convenient, right off of I-95, about 10 minutes away from the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Room smelled great and was very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfy. Shower was nice and hot. Pool looked great (just didn't have time to use it). We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
The Hilton Garden Inn Bangor is the best HGI I have ever stayed. It is more like a full-fledged Hilton than a HGI. The staff is very friendly and helpful (gave us suggestions on what to do for the afternoon and restaurant ideas), the rooms are excellent, the hot tub and pool are very nice, the lobby is cozy and inviting. While breakfast is not included in the room rate, it is very reasonable ($13.95 per person for the buffet) and really good! If I find myself in Bangor again, the Hilton Garden Inn will be my first choice for accommodations.
We really like this hotel as it has many amenities and the restaurant has good food. Staff are super nice and rooms are clean. It’s close to i95 and many local stores so for road travelers it’s a good spot.
We stayed 1 night while on our way to Acadia Natl Park. Clean & good location off the interstate. There's an Irish Pub restaurant on-site for food & drinks. The hotel offers breakfast for a fee. Spacious, comfortable lobby. Nice, clean rooms & the beds & pillows were sooo comfortable! The furnishings could use some updating. The staff was friendly & professional. I reccomend this hotel.
Rooms were nice. Last day they changed breakfast to buffet only. Waitress brought coffee once then gone. No water and no offer to help individual using walker. Food is up there period. Then wanted full tip.
Paid twice as much as the Hampton Inn across the street so expected a little more, not less. When we arrived, hotel staff were drinking while still in uniform, with a party going on in the lobby.Asked about a CAA discount, told them it was usually always accepted the same as Triple A. Was told they didn't accept it. Later found on their website that they do accept it.Was told that because I got the Honors discount that breakfast was not included, but I could pay $15 for each of us to have breakfast; 2 of us were children aged 8 and 10 who wouldn't eat $5 worth of food. Seems a little strange that you lose by being in the Honors Program.Coffee machine in room did not work. I didn't say anything at the time as it was 6am and I was the only one up, I just went to the lobby and got coffee.Paid almost $300 for the night and got just a room. Across the road at the Hampton Inn I paid a little over $150 and got breakfast and much more knowledgeable staff.I just finished a 7 week driving trip through the States with my husband, and other hotel chains have a huge advantage over Hilton for the price you pay and the perks that come with it.Really not impressed with the Hilton line and doubtful that I will even consider staying with this company again.
Room was adequate. Location was convenient. Stayed three nights and our room was not cleaned a single time. Made the desk clerk aware and he seemed to blow it off saying he would just let housekeeping know. The hotel hosted a meeting for the first two days, parking was very limited.
