Made a reservation for 1 night, stayed 1 night, hotel double billed me for 2 nights. Called and emailed them asking that they correct the obvious billing error and management refused to fix their mistake and refund the erroneous charge. Plenty of other hotels in the area that won’t double bill customers to cover for their poor occupancy rate, don’t give these crooks your credit card.

I stayed here for 5 nights in a row.. I saw an employee twice. The hot breakfast is terrible (even the coffee), and in a different building. People were coming in off the street and putting food in their pockets. It was a ghost town for employees. The whole place, aside from the room, felt very dated. They put me in a room at the end of the hall, and there was a horrible draft coming in from at exterior door two floors down, that whenever someone went through to the stairs to go to the pool or the gym, the door on my room rattle so much that my poor toddler was convinced there was someone trying to come into our room. It's super overpriced for what is included. No daily maid service, you have to call and request it. And don't get me started on the water pressure.. and on top of it all, there are signs everywhere promoting the Mexican restaurant located at the front of the building, which I tried, and it was, no exaggeration, the worst restaurant I've ever been to. I stayed there because it was the closest BW to my destination and I paid with points. Next time I'll go back to the Marriot down the street.

The bar was not open on Saturday night. We sat in the atrium chatting and the lady kicked us out. Closes at 10 PM. We were not loud or disruptive. Too strict of rules. Pool was nice but not allowed to have Any drinks. Not even water. Breakfast was good but they close at 9 AM. Worker told us to leave around 9:15 AM so he could clean up. So many weird rules! Great location and nice hotel but could be less rigid !!!

Nice hotel. Customer service was great and the rooms were clean and in good condition. The bed was as comfortable as any I’ve had. Didn’t eat breakfast but was told it is very good.

Overall, a pleasant experience. The staff were all nice and friendly, with one minor exception, which I will get to.I chose to stay here for a couple of reasons. We've been there before and had good experiences, a wonderful breakfast and so on. The other reason was I was trying to find a room with something unique or special. Well, they have a room with a sauna and hot tub in it. I thought that would be really cool (ha ha) so I booked it. Both of those extra luxuries were quite nice. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. We stayed two nights and it was the best sleep I've had in a while. The only real downer was the breakfast. We stayed Saturday through Monday. Breakfast on Sunday was subpar. There was nothing to spray on the waffle irons and, guess what, the waffles stuck to the iron! Just the way I like them. (not really) The hash browns were decent. The sausage was a bit iffy, being shriveled and dry, but it tasted okay. I had some grits, too. Instant. And you had to make them yourself with no way to measure the water. The only really good thing was the frosted flakes. I have memories of having a really good breakfast there in the past. Not this time. We went back over on Monday to see what they had, hoping it was improved - maybe someone had been filling in on Sunday and wasn't sure how to do the job - I dunno. We were being optimistic, I guess. On Monday, the "Gold Zone", which is what they call the breakfast nook, was closed. We found a long letter taped to the window in which it was explained, among other things, that if you want breakfast on a Monday you can get yogurt and microwaved sandwiches at the front desk. I'm pretty bitter over that, actually, as other than that we were having a great weekend. At the very least they could have told us at check in time that the Gold Zone is closed on Mondays. We'll probably come back some day. The weekend was certainly not totally ruined. Just very disappointed by the lack of a decent breakfast. It turned out all right, in a way. We found a place a short drive away called Morning Story that does a fabulous breakfast.I should mention, though, that this is a fairly quirky motel with a skywalk and decor in the game room right out of the seventies, complete with a spiral staircase. I love that!I would recommend staying. Just, maybe, don't get your hopes up for breakfast. I get it. It's free. I'm not sure it's worth that price, though.

We weren't sure about choosing Cedar Rapids for a weekend getaway but we are glad we chose this hotel. Fantastic location, a sauna that gets hot, a fitness center that rivals Planet Fitness in a condensed version with an even better free weight area. The staff we very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and attractive...and I pay attention to detail. My only disappointment was that breakfast ended at 9am. I sleep in a bit while on my getaways . Perkins was close and the service there was fantastic as well. Thumbs up to Cedar Rapids! We will be back.

I actually love staying here have been in numerous times till I got into town a half an hour early asked when check in was they said my room was available but I couldn't have it unless I want to pay a fee of $25. That's customer sevice? I'm at the wrong place I'll be going to the competitors from now on I know I'll get better service, got into town early at other hotels numerous times never had this kind of a problem, ridiculous, sitting in my car for 30 minutes and the room is ready? that's the epitome of poor customer sevice if you look it up in the dictionary that's the first thing they'll give us an example. that's why you don't hire robots you hire people when AI takes over I'll expect that kind of treatment not yet.

We have stayed at the Cobblestone in Vinton a number of times when visiting relatives. The location is convenient and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. We have enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The staff is always very gracious and helpful. We will definitely be back!

I used to work for the cobblestone as a housekeeper and during that time the head of housekeeping made sure everything was up to standard when it came to keeping the rooms clean and properly sanitized, I normally don’t leave negative reviews but it was brought to my attention that all the housekeeping staff was fired today and new management is not following sanitation safety guidelines which is a huge risk to guest safety.

This hotel is not clean, they don’t replace any sheets when stained dishes they cook with don’t properly clean or clean at all. They haven’t been changing the sheets at all after people stay. The owners are very rude an aggressive towards employees. They were cornering my sister when she worked there demanding for dirty linen to be brought down immediately. They don’t actually clean the showers the 3 housekeepers they decided to fire without any notice. They showed up to work an told them they all needed to leave or they would call the cops. When they were simply just coming into work an cleaning the rooms. Numerous times my sister has called me in tears because of the way they treated her. But she needed the money a she is a loyal employee so didn’t leave, until they without warning or any write up or anything told them to leave. Since they started working there it was a fun friendly environment until a few months ago new owners to over the hotel an they were out right disgusting to there employees, when employees speak up over the sanitary needs for guests they wouldn’t buy the supplies and would get hostile with them. Please be careful if you stay at this hotel, there has also been many reports of bed bugs. Please please please do not confront owners or it could end poorly. When they had bedbugs and an employee had a concern about working there until an exterminator was there to take care of the issue they fired her because she didn’t want to risk bringing home bedbugs because it took them 2 weeks to get an exterminator there.

Hotel is trash after the 2024 owners came. Not to mention the only good employee they have ever kept or had for years, I don't even see her around anymore. Since then the hotel has looked like garbage because they have some dude that I think is part of the family doing it. And he has no clue what he's doing. Bring back your head housekeeper !!!!!!!!Word flies fast in a small town.
