Fantastic one-old school motor inn. My room was mildly renovated but mostly original and in amazing condition. Murphy bed? Genius way to open up the room. One of the cleanest motels I have stayed in. The only trouble is there is no AC so it got a little warm during my stay in mid July. Otherwise, five stars.

Love this place!Upgraded retro hotel in the middle of Heavenly Village.Staff is wonderful!Only downside is no air conditioning on those rare days in the summer when the temperature doesn’t drop enough at night to cool the room.

They have everything. Kitchenettes, with everything you need to make your cooking experience like home. Huge, double head shower. Outdoor BBQ. Heated pools and spas. Workout room. Bikes to use. Discount rates for extracurricular activities. This is definitely the only place we will go in South Lake Tahoe.

This place was absolutely amazing!!! When I come back I'm staying here again. The amenities are great, along with the activities center for bikes to ride around town. The receptionist on Thursday and Friday needs to be replaced. Rude not helpful and lazy. Evey time we went in to the front desk she was sitting in the guests chair doing nothing. But the main receptionist was absolutely helpful and amazing. Will be back again!

Location is A+, walk to the lake in under ten minutes, downtown on main road in South Lake Tahoe across from heavenly mountain resort gondola, next to many restaurants steps away, and casinos within blocks. Victor was exceptional leading activities, and the team across the board was focused on a phenomenal guest experience. The rooms are renovated, super clean, and staff regularly asked if they could assist in any way. We will return for sure. No AC, on our visit not needed, low of 40 and high in upper 60’s low 70’s, with ceiling fan and tower fans for those who might want it.

Prime location! Stayed here with a group of friends last weekend (1st time) and was pleasantly surprised. We had a 2 BR 2 BA suite, with a kitchenette and queen sofa bed pull out. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the amenities bar none. Shout out to Kenny, the man to know! Had the best time celebrating our friend Alicia! Thank you for everything!

Very cozy place. Nice rooms comfy beds and the food at their restaurant is amazing! Staff was great and they even offer a free shuttle service. I'd say the ONLY downside to the room is it kinda had a mold /basement smell when you first walk in the room. The other think is the air conditioner makes a loud dripping noise that comes from the sink in the bathroom due to them plumbing the a/c condensation line into the same pipe. It sounds like someone is tapping on the wall every few min. Luckily the sound goes away when you shut it off. On a side note the bathroom is amazing and has heated seats!!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

THE place to stay in South Lake Tahoe!! Impeccable views, phenomenal staff, cozy accommodations, what else can you ask for??Checking into The Landing Resort was a breeze and the staff were transparent about the additional taxes and fees whenever I called ahead of our arrival. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and once the front desk staff checked us in, they personally showed us to our room! This room was massive, 470 Sq. Ft to be exact, it had a gas fireplace with separate seating area and a large bathroom with tub as well as a rainfall shower. Not to mention, the bathroom floors were heated and even the toilet seat was heated! We stayed at The Landing in the middle of January 2024 and the room never got cold even with below freezing temperatures right outside. The main highlight of this room is by far the incredible view of Lake Tahoe, there’s truly no better view to wake up to. The room we had was located right next to their Grand Rooftop Terrace, which meant we could walk directly from our private balcony to a much larger rooftop with sweeping views of the Lake.*Photos provided are from the three nights we stayed at The Landing in a Premier Room with 2 Queen Beds*

The views and surrounding area of this place make it hard to give anything less than 5 stars. That being said, without the surrounding landscape there’s no way this hotel can be considered 5 stars. the rooms and service were somewhat lackluster. Old, flannel designed carpet. No full length mirror. There was still trash from the previous guest in the bedroom and dust covered the bedside tables and lamps. No actual lock on the sliding glass patio door from the unit (which was ground floor) and no lock on the fence that surrounds the patio. I’m not sure if this was because it was a ground floor, but it smelled of mildew in the living area. The bathrooms were equipped with heated floors which was amazing. Plenty of lighting throughout and the bed/pillows were plush.Attended an event held on the terrace and the staffs only permitted about 30-60 minutes to set up decorations, chairs, etc. guests were arriving and they were still setting up in the last ten minutes, although there was no other events scheduled that day. Minutes before the event ended, staff were shutting off lights, removing decorations, etc. they will definitely remind you ahead of time that you need to leave at the exact time your event is over.If you don’t get a beach pass from the hotel, and aren’t from the area, expect to pay $30 to go onto the beach. Luckily we had beach passes. The location Is absolutely beautiful and you get an amazing view from pretty much anywhere on the property. The area and views make up for a lot, which is a positive and negative in itself.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Landing Lake Tahoe Spa recently and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel welcome and relaxed.I started my treatment with a massage by Alex, who was incredible. He was able to perfectly pinpoint all of my knots and tension points, and his massage left me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. After my massage, I had a facial with Natalie, who was also amazing. She took the time to listen to my skin concerns and customize my facial accordingly. The facial left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and radiant.I also appreciated the fact that the spa is small and intimate. This made me feel like I was getting a more personalized treatment. However, the only downside to this is that the locker room is very small.Overall, I had an incredible experience at The Landing Lake Tahoe Spa. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious spa treatment.

I’m not sure where 5 stars came from as nothing about the hotel was better than “fine”.The rooms were “fine” - everything was old, beat up, small but it had a bed and a bathroom. Parking sucked. We had a side lake view from our patio(like 1/3rd wasn’t obstructed) but a lot of rooms don’t have anything at all.The service was “fine” - everyone was really nice but you’re going to get a $65/night “resort” fee for things like the beach, the car service, etc. The car we tried to use 5 times and were successful 2 times, and both of those we had to wait 20-30 minutes but not because the driver/car was out they were just not there. Unsuccessful they just didn’t answer the phone or we gave up. We walked to the front desk to ask for toilet paper and they said they’d bring some up…just never came.On weekend there will be weddings every day and some or all will use the terrace which is dead center of the hotel and like 10ft from half of the rooms. Djs and all. The beach/street is active/loud af and I wouldn’t suggest thinking you’re going to have a quiet time on the balconies. They ARE on the beach which is the only thing that I wasn’t entirely disappointed in. After fees we paid just under $500 a night, or ~$100 over what we booked for. I honestly see 0 appeal to this place without the lake view and even then you’re paying through the nose for “fine”. For the money I would never stay here again.

This resort is an absolute delight! We decided to stay at the landing for a couple reasons: they are dog friendly (big or small), and their lake view rooms are right on the beach and with a stunning view. Our expectations were exceeded! The bathrooms are wonderful (steam shower, heated floors) and so was our room. What made our stay memorable was the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Shout out to Mel for being so wonderful and going above and beyond for taking care of us! We will definitely stay here again.

One of the best places you can choose to stay in South Lake Tahoe! Every thing from the moment you walk onto the property is amazing, excellent service and hospitality from start to finish. Booked a lake view room for amazing balcony overlooking the beach and water. Room was impressively clean, and we’ll taken care of. You can’t get much better than the Landing! Will absolutely be coming back to this one! Thanks for an awesome night and great place to relax

This place is right next to the lake with breathtaking views of the mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing resort with all the amenities you would need, rooms are extremely well maintained and also has heated floors. It is just 10 minutes drive from skiing location & down down. Highly recommend this place. Definitely worth the price.
