My wife and I stayed here our first and only time for my birthday this summer and were treated like royalty. Extra friendly employees. Clean. Beautiful. Because it was slow, they upgraded us to a wonderful suite. Right across from the convention center. Easy walk to food and the rivermarket area. Kitty corner from the Old State House, which is a great place to visit for free. Capital Bar and grill has great food and nice atmosphere. Everything is pricey but worth it.
I didn’t stay at a room but I did try the restaurant and the food very well prepared and cooked. My burger was so delicious I want to go back and have another.
In my opinion, the Capital Hotel is the finest hotel in the state of Arkansas. Not only did they nail the interior design and the food and beverage offerings, but also have proven to be masters of the guest experience. Katie and her team continue to amaze their guests with a continual effort to surprise and delight. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, but the people who work there are what makes it so special. I had a great time here, and this is the only place I will stay in downtown Little Rock.
What a fabulous hotel, the history is amazing. Wonderful front desk staff who helped me through a very difficult time. They always had a bright smile and words of encouragement, which helped through. The restaurant is an amazing choice and not to be missed.
Absolutely delightful luxury hotel that happily caters to your needs. I felt under dressed walking in even though I was wearing a polo and slacks. Yet, the hotel manages to be luxurious without being pretentious. The front desk staff put me at ease with their polite manners and a bag of pecans. The only on-site parking available is valet, but is well worth it.There's complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning
What an wonderful place! We were traveling to Little Rock with our pup to drop off a couple of paintings at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and came upon this beautiful GEM. The hosts Antonio and Keith were fabulous as was everything else about this welcoming establishment. Our room "The Majestic Spa Suite" was located in the Carriage House and perfect for an overnight stay. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer as we had to trek back home to New Orleans the following day. We truly hope to make this our go to choice when visiting Little Rock!
I had the pleasure of a night's stay in this beautiful home with my granddaughter and great granddaughter. It was a wonderful experience. Antonio is a lovely person and I enjoyed learning about this wonderful B&B, its history and the furnishings. The room was very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer, but I enjoyed the visit.

Absolutely loved our stay here! First of all: the house is a true architectural gem and it’s even more beautiful in person than it looks in pictures. Second, there are pet-friendly rooms and a walled garden that is absolutely perfect for a dog to run around! Third, it’s a short walk to a really cute area in downtown Little Rock with great restaurants and shops. And last but not least, the breakfast was delicious and included blackberries grown right in the front yard!
While on a road trip I decided to stop in Little Rock for the night. Wanting my quick stay to be an experience, I booked a rather last minute stay at Empress of Little Rock. Antonio the owner called me to confirm and waited on me to arrive. He was so very gracious. Along with the very charming Keith who checked me in. I can only describe the Empress Mansion as unbelievably dreamy! Ever detail is perfect. It's just an amazing place to stay. I slept so well that night, and had to know the origin of the bed linens the next morning because they were so very comfortable. The breakfast, prepared by Keith, and served outside on the amazing wrap around porch kept me sitting long past breakfast, it was so yummy! The whole experience was just amazing and I'm already planning a trip back to spend a few days at the Empress. Thank you Antonio and Keith for the lovely stay at your beautiful home in Little Rock!
Other than the wedding we were in town for, staying at the Empress was our favorite thing about Little Rock! Conveniently located right between the airport and downtown. Walking distance to nearly everywhere we went. Absolutely gorgeous rooms and amenities. Delicious and beautiful breakfast (not to mention they kindly catered to my vegan eating). And such hospitable and welcoming hosts who made us feel perfectly at home. Can't say enough good things!
We loved everything about our stay at The Empress. Every detail has been thought of in the mansion. It is immaculate in care and cleanliness. We loved the tour and learning the history of this magnificent home. The owners were a delight. We will be back to visit in the future. The room was exactly as described and the photos really don’t do it justice. Breakfast was delicious and well plated.
