I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The check-in was seamless and the customer service was outstanding throughout our stay. We encountered an issue with noise one night, but the staff was quick to move us to another unit, resolving the problem efficiently. The views from the property were simply breathtaking, adding to the overall beauty of our experience. Additionally, the hotel offered us a late checkout, which was a considerate touch, even though we checked out early. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and stunning surroundings.
I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to speak up about our stay at the Princess Royale. We Spent Spring Fest weekend in Ocean City and stayed at the Princess Royale. Many years ago the Princess Royale was a premier hotel in Ocean City. Sadly, not any more. While our stay was OK, it was certainly not premier. The hotel is looking very shabby. The rooms need to be updated - I will say the beds were comfortable. however, the tiles in the bathroom and tub area were chipped and grout missing; the sofa and chair in the living area were badly stained and really uncomfortable - I didn't even want to sit on the furniture! The tile floor in the kitchen had cracks and chips in numerous places. The kitchenette cabinets are in dire need of updating. There is NO information provided in the room regarding hotel information, restaurant information, television instruction or channel guides, etc. When walking down the hall ways heading to the elevators, the floor molding was missing in places and the carpet looked worn in many area. The vending areas on the designated floors need to be modernized and provided for EACH floor. The nicest part of the hotel was the pool area. We didn't get a chance to use the pool so I can't speak to adequacy of pool functions only that it looked nice. The biggest dissappointment however,, was how UNFRIENDLY the front desk staff were. They were not rude, but they certainly were NOT welcoming nor friendly. No one smiled or welcomed us upon our arrival when we walked up to the desk. They acted almost bored and seemed to want the interaction to be over quickly. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but for the money, we were VERY disappointed. The Princess Royale is way past its prime and needs to be revamped . There needs to be serious mangement intervention and training on how staff should treat guests. Bottom line is that we will never stay here again and would never recommend it to any family or friends.
We stayed here in May for the Beachfest volleyball tournament and couldn't have been more pleased. There were a total of 8 families and the pool/atrium area allowed us to get together and hang out despite the not so great weather. The rooms were recently remodeled and were very comfy and spacious, with a kitchenette, living room and bedroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel also had an associated garage which made parking easy. Definitely will book again.
Manager just yelled at me and pushed me because of my service dog he thought he went to the bathroom in the lobby but is trained not to, but I got shoved and yelled at by the manager It was an old white gut with glasses , stayed here over 20 times with my service dog and will never again, police got called I wish this place the worse please don’t go especially if you are disabled
My family and I recently stayed at the Princess Royale Hotel. I was very disappointed! I requested and paid for a condo with 2 kings and 2 queens. There was only one king and 2 queens. They had no viable explanation when I asked why. This was one of several trips to the front desk with problems. The rooms were severely worn and outdated. The drapes were falling off the rod in one of the bedrooms. When we arrived the rooms had an overwhelming smell of bleach, which lingered for the first few days. When I set the reservation I was told the kitchen was 'fully stocked' with the necessary tools to cook. This was not the case. Not enough forks, 2 pots and a few odds and ends. We were told we would get an initial supply of paper goods, with more upon request. There was not an initial anything. The kitchen and bathrooms were dirty. There were 2 bars of used soap. They did not have cable and the WiFi was iffy. We also needed to plug in several items, such as lamps. This required plugging things in behind beds, etc.On a positive note, the staff was lovely and did their best to accommodate us. They offered another condo, but it was much smaller than what we paid for. Not enough room for all of us.I will not return to this hotel. Overpriced for what we got. Updates are a must. I therefore, will never recommend this hotel. Thank you.
This hotel is my favorite place to stay at in Ocean City, MD. We recently got married on the beach outside there and Mel and Alexandria were great! They made sure we had the perfect day and made us feel so special! Totally recommend them if you are interested in having a beach wedding! Thank you ladies!!!!
A 2 star hotel at best. The rooms are dated and poorly maintained. Painted ceiling tiles, furniture from the 90s, holes in the ceiling. There were extra pillows with cases and sheets in the closet - that had stains on them. The pool area seemed pretty cool but it was overrun by young kids without supervision and no staff except a poor lady handing out towels. I also didn’t see anybody cleaning the pool while it was open. I saw kids trample over soggy Doritos on the pool deck and track them into the cloudy pool. The hot tub floor was filthy and packed. The hotel was probably amazing when it first opened but overall was a disappointment for the price - we spend over $800 for 2 nights for a standard room! I would expect more from a highly priced hotel. The location was great and ocmd is wonderful.
After they closed and sold our beloved Dunes Manor, the hotel we were married at,we chose The Princess Royale for our anniversary getaway! We love the location! Stayed in a newly renovated king room with an ocean view. The view was outstanding! Our room was beautiful and clean! The price was incredible! The staff was less pleasant. We didn't get much information and were kind of bummed that the restaurant, bar and other included amenities were not open at all.Overall, we had a great time and will be back!Room was gorgeous!
We come here every year on Easter through the spring break week and we are currently here now, I will start by staying we will return next year because all years past have been good, but so far this years experience had been rough. First off we always get a pool level room because we have young kids and being able to walk out right to the pool is great, one week before check in they called us and said that they are renovating the pool level rooms and they are not available. They did “upgrade” us to a ocean view which is nice but with kids the pool level is our main attraction to the hotel. That is what it is, but when we arrived i just say the front desk manager was very rude and cold and when we got to our room it was not very clean. The pool bar was closed, and also the restaurant bar, so why am I paying a resort price? So far a rough start to a place I give a good amount of money to every year. Hopefully it gets better.** Update. So this is our last day and i will add the entire time we were here the pool bar, hotel store, and main restaurant were not open at all. Very disappointing. I realize it is off season, but we come this time every year and never has everything been closed the entire stay. Also our room was not cleaned once the entire stay, and it was not all that clean when we checked in. Hopefully this is a off year because we do come here every year and I don’t want to find a different resort.
One of the best Hilton properties. I can't here midweek for my 45th birthday, mentioned if I could be on a higher floor, just getting away for the night, I work at another Hilton in town, I just wanted to get away to one if my favorite Hiltons I've started at multiple times in the past when I lived out of state and visited the area.I was able to check in at 12 noon, I got a high floor, and was surprised, as they left me a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries as a Happy Birthday gift. They truly go above and beyond, I'm so thankful for them making my birthday an amazing one.Thank you!!!!
The room was a good size, a little cramped for 4-5 people but OK. Pool areas were run down, dirty and kind of gross, but maybe we were just here at the wrong time. We came here years ago and it was much better. The real reason for the bad rating was the overall service. When we went to the front desk with questions or to ask for help, it’s one thing not to get the answer you hope for, but it’s another to just get smart comments back or attitude. Also of note: no perks for Hilton Honors elite levels. We got to spin a wheel when we checked in and received a gift card to an arcade across town. Just a marketing gimmick for that arcade. Bogus.
Daughter’s review ?Hilton is a great hotel. The rooms are luxurious and clean. We had a amazing room in the hotel with a jacuzzi and a big kitchen and with a very pretty side of the ocean on the balcony. The beds are very comfortable. The staffs are very kind and helpful. The TV was working well, but the TV only has cable channels and a TON of adds, but you should be able to go on different apps.
Great location. Great staff depends on the day. Had a great yoga teacher Wednesday but poor advertising for this free amenity. Hire better, knowledgeable front desk and have room service come back for dirty dishes, we pay too much for a 4 star hotel to get 3 star service.
The room was much more tired than the photos shower. The hotel felt very old. We paid extra for a corner suite with a hot tub on the balcony but the hot tub never got hot enough. The hot tub felt very old as well.Inside the room we had a jucuzzi tub with a rainfall shower. We were unable to adjust the temperature of the shower head but it be temp would adjust the tub. I’m not sure what was going on. Also the shower head only had about 60% of the nozzles working. Showering wasn’t relaxing. The indoor pool was very cold as well. The location was great right on the beach but overall we wouldn’t recommend this place to friends and we most likely won’t return.I will say that the staff were friendly thought
I love the Hilton brand. This is the worse Hilton experience for me.The room is spacious, the location is great but the most uncooperative front desk. We had to ask about 7-8 times before getting shower gel in our bathroom.During our stay the front desk said they only have 2 housekeeping team and it takes them 40-45min to clean each room. The hotel has 200+ rooms, it seem like a very stressful and labour intensive job for the housekeeping team probably with very little pay.If staying for more than 2 days and want your room to be cleaned prepare to be speaking about it with very rude people 3-4 times a day before you can get your room cleaned. The housekeeping team are very nice through once they get to your room. We finally managed to get our bathroom cleaned one night at 8:40pm the house keeping team had big smile on their faces. The bar tenders and restaurant staffs are also great! The internet isn't great if you plan to work, otherwise location is great, the room is big & well equipped. Gym is small, indoor pool is big compared to most hotels indoor pools. My advise bring your own shower gel, towels and clean your own room if planning to stay here and avoid the front desk team.
