Our stay at The Inn at Warner Hall was amazing. The entire visit was calming, relaxing and we felt very spoiled. Our room, The Washington Suite, was beautiful and spacious. We met some wonderful people there, guests and staff, included! It was a special stay and a place we will not soon forget. Hope to visit again in the future.
We had a wonderful visit to Warner Hall in the riverfront setting. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were excellent each morning. Our hosts were hospitable and graciously offered suggestions for dining out and activities in the Yorktown area. Highly recommend a visit to this historic home.
Stayed here so we could tour Yorktown. Wonderful host and hostess. Amazing setting for spacious 1905 Colonial Revival home on 17th c. manor.Rooms so so comfortable and breakfast the best ever. We want to go back. Gave great restaurant recs.
Didn’t stay but the the house is top notch. This is the former house to my wife’s 7 great parents. It is always a honor and privilege to get to visit the many historical things this house truly serves to this great nation.
Warner Hall is such a unique property and we truly enjoyed our time here. We stayed in the George Washington Suite. It was on the main floor, offered a comfortable king bed, spacious bathroom and fireplace. We also had views of the river and their "coffee fairy" always left a tray just outside our door with a pot of hot coffee, condiments and cream. The 3 course breakfast was a highlight of our day. The food was delicious and the view was gorgeous! We highly recommend this jewel of home.
This is my first time reviewing anything, but I had to leave a review for the Inn at Warner Hall. My Husband and I have never stayed at a B and B, and this one has to be a 5 star one. The service you get at this establishment is amazing and you will feel right at home but at the same time in the lap of luxury. We have already rebooked to stay another night over the 4th of July. Do yourself a favor and book yourself a stay. You won’t regret it.
My wife and I do a lot of traveling in the USA and Europe and stay in B&Bs or higher-level hotels whenever possible. With that background, I have to say that our stay at the Inn was as good as the best stays we have had, and better than most. The breakfasts were great. The hosts (Teresa and Troy) are friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive. The Inn and the rooms are truly spectacular. Comfortable beds and bedding. Nice grounds with space to find peace and quiet if you wish to spend time at the Inn.We plan to visit again. It is that kind of a place.
Troy and Theresa,I would like to thank you for the opportunity to spend one of most enjoyable and relaxing weekends we've had in many years. The breakfast was second to none!! I I I had to recommend a place to stay for a really fabulous weekend getaway, Inn at Warner Hall would be my recommendation. Again, my wife and I want to thank you for a fantastic weekend. See you again soon.
Our experience at the Inn at Warner Hall was fabulous. Theresa and Troy are quintessential hosts. They created a warm, inviting environment that was sufficiently casual for our tastes. The room was exceptionally clean. The grounds and view were spectacular. The breakfasts were outstanding! Theresa is an amazing chef, catering to our individual needs and tastes, and presenting the foods with flair. We stayed three nights and by the time we were leaving we felt like we had made new friends. We had been to Warner Hall several times since 2006 and each time our experience is better than we’d hoped. We can’t wait to return.
We stayed in a small yet comfortable room right in the middle of town. Staff was friendly and offered to give us a ride to our building and back to the train station since we arrived via train without a car. The rooms aren’t modern by any stretch but it had everything we needed and was a fun step back in time for the night.
The house from the outside is adorable. The location is excellent, being very near the governor’s palace. There is also a nice covered area to sit at the Carter house. The reason I gave it two stars is because there were broken blinds, peeling paint, the air conditioning was incredibly loud and it was difficult to find the side road that you have to go on to park. I feel that for the price this historic house should have been nicer.
This was our first time staying in a tavern room at the market square tavern. Normally we rent a colonial house and I have to say, I think we just might rent tavern rooms from here on out. They are comfortable. Have nice toiletries. And a beautiful gathering room! It's perfect for 2 people. We of course will book a house when we have family with us, but for just the 2 of us, it was perfect!
We have made reservations for a colonial house room for three days during the grand illumination. We also opted for the tavern dinner package. Today I went to make tavern dinner reservations. It appears tavern reservations are sold out during the time we are there. Therefore our tavern dinner package can not be used. One would think you would not sell more tavern dinner packages than you have seating ability. Certainly starting out on the wrong foot Very disappointed.Know the location is wonderful so five stars there but have not experienced room yet. After this phone call, they did call back later in the evening having found one table for two on the evening we requested. Thank you.
My very first time experiencing something so elegant and beautiful. This place is a historical resort with a lot of things to do and experience. Museums, horse and carriage rides, nice restaurants, and a whole lot more. I was here for my birthday and it's something that I'll NEVER FORGET
We stayed in the Tavern Rooms, right in the main area of Colonial Williamsburg. Super cute and as "authentic" as you can get. Perfect space and very cool rooms for those hot July days. We had to walk to the main resort to use the pool but it was not a problem. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend staying here. If we had a larger group, I would definitely stay in one of the houses. They are adorable.
Being able to step out into colonial Williamsburg without needing to find parking or riding the bus was great. It has your basic needs- bed, bath, etc.Bed and pillows were very comfortable, a little on the firm side (but it is how I like it).
Currently staying at the Ewing house for our kid's first trip here. We have a lot of kids so renting an entire house would be more economical than three hotel rooms, plus you get the historical ambiance. I picked the Ewing house based on the photos on the Colonial Williamsburg website...well, that was false advertisement. My daughters were SO disappointed to find that have removed ALL the traditional curtains from the beds. Why??? Was this a stupid covid change? Why remove one of the main reasons to stay in a historical home??? And what false advertising to keep the pictures on your website from before the change!! Two of the three tv's worked. The upstairs queen room a/c was having trouble. The downstairs queen room is the one to stay in as the shower/bathroom is the largest and nicest. They clearly have "updated" the rooms with lamps that boast USB charging ports but my goodness the are ugly, I don't know what century they are supposedly from!
We stayed at the Peter Hay Kitchen and it was overall a lovely experience. The location was great, right in the middle of CW and you wake up to the sound of carriage rides - really feels like you travelled back in time. Reasons it’s not 5 stars: bathroom of the house REALLY needs a renovation and bed was not so comfy to sleep in. Just feels outdated but not in a colonial way. We barely fit in the bathroom which was fine, but the bathtub was clogged and lightbulb wouldn’t turn on on the first night so we had to call maintenance at 11pm. Also the place can really use better directions for the guest. It is really hard to get to at night.
I have always wanted to stay in one of the Colonial Houses after many, many visits to Colonial Williamsburg over the years. This trip I was traveling by myself and stayed at a room in the Market Street Tavern. Perfect central location, charming Colonial style with a very high canopy bed! My air conditioning was not cooling fast enough and after calling Reception at the Inn- the repairman came immediately and resolved- Thanks Stuart! Check in at the beautiful Inn was done efficiently and graciously. I have loved the ambience of these Colonial houses and would highly recommend to others.
