Great service and very clean! Staff are really friendly. Complimentary evening drink, good breakfast. 7 problem was my bathroom fan shorted out and the second fan also quit work. The last night of the stay, the fan on the AC unit also quit working (sounded like a bearing went out. Otherwise, I would recommend staying there

David, the front desk manager, was really helpful and kind. The complimentary breakfast is basic but complete. The price is correct. The hotel is 15-20 minutes far by car from downtown and 20 min from Mall of America. There are a little gym and 3 minutes far by car there are lots of place to eat (five guys, a buffet, taco bell...)

This location works great for us when visiting Minneapolis. Has a sports bar next door with good food that will give you a 15% discount. Stayed here twice now and will stay there again in the near future. Great staff and nice updated rooms. Very nice for the price!

I was generally happy with my stay at the Ramada Golden Valley. The lobby, hallway and room were clean. I didn't notice any unusual smells. The neighborhood appears to be safe. It was mostly quiet, with occasional sounds of people talking or laughing in hallway. The size of the room was quite adequate to accommodate two adults and a baby. The bed was very comfortable, except for a small lump in one spot. The refrigerator in the room worked well and was slightly larger than the average I've had in other hotels. It was easy to find a spot to park in the parking lot. My biggest complaint would be that they did not provide a box of tissues in the room.

This Ramada is a bit off the beaten path and is in a decent location. But the in-room decor is extremely dated.Getting to our 3rd floor room, the hallway smelled of Marijuana and it was unpleasant. While there are recent vinyl plank flooring updates instead of carpet and dresser/side table top cou ter style updates, almost of the furniture and decor is out of what appears to be the 90s and the very tiny sink has plumbing exposed. The beds were like it was on an old trampoline. The bed was firm, but any movement and the WHOLE mattress bounced up and down. The breakfast was decent with good hot ham but very overcooked eggs. The apple juice said 100% apple juice, but I saw them change it and noticed the replacement insert label said apple drink and felt hoodwinked. However, what was worst was the check-in experience. While the night clerk was gentle and polite, he didn't know how to handle international credit cards and locked one of mine up bypassing the pin entry screen for the customer. Worse than that, he snuck on a room deposit of a value greater than the room rate without telling me AND my credit card Inicates it as a full charge not a hold, so time will tell if I have actually been ripped off or not.As it is, deposits are an antiquated process when hotels retain credit info and can charge the card after the fact for any incidentals or damage and certainly not for more than the room rate. On the same trip I stayed in other Wyndham properties with no deposit and only had to show my ID for them to simply put the room on the booking card and already had paperwork ready. BUT NOT HERE, nope, even with wyndham rewards booking it's show ID, provide credit card for them to charge directly ( likely because ethe booking on preauthorizes the room rate so they have to completely re-charge the card which leaves a room rate per authorization, a room rate charge and a greater than room rate deposit. If your card is near its limit - have fun! I would bet it may not go through. Then they didn't even acknowledge I was a status Wyndham Rewards member. That's small, but it's something they are supposed to do.The rest of the staff in the morning and at breakfast were wonderful, but first impressions are very hard to overcome. If the financial issues are sorted out and they become upfront in theirbusiness practices (and even their breakfast offerings) , I would consider a repeat stay and re-do of this review.UPDATE: the overcharge disappeared after the final charge went through a few days later.

Rooms are very small. Bathrooms even smaller. It's like an old Motel 8 revised and you can tell. Room phone didn't work. Service was decent and friendly. Breakfast is mediocre but nice area to eat. Would find elsewhere to stay for the price.

This host is amazing! He is beauty in Beast mode, LOL. Don't let his swagger fool you. Because he doesn't have to. He has a friendly smile and can help with your hotel needs. And don't forget your free drink from 5:30-6:30 pm And an OK breakfast in the in the morning also. Plus, 15% off at the restaurant next door.
No vegan options not even almond milk. When I asked the person at the morning desk about options for vegan or even just soy milk or creamers . He says s it’s a buffet what’s there is there . It was like , you’re lucky you have what’s there their kinda tone. Also, there are no high chairs or boosters for kids to eat with their fam. Otherwise, The hotel is very clean, safe, and comfortable.

LOCATION: couple minute drive to St Louis Park. Sports bar right next door gives you 15%off for staying there. Very safe area.HOTEL: Staff very friendly. Hotel very clean. Happy hour (1) free drink. Nice patio & inside eating area. Lighted parking lot.BREAKFAST: the usual comp waffle, meat, eggs, toast, etc ....ROOM: Clean, comfy bed. Shower was fine. The air conditioning unit does not work. The room had a window AC unit installed. It ran all the time. I think it's too small to keep up with temp.

We were it town for the weekend. I had two rooms and both were ready and clean when we arrived. Not much within walking distance of hotel.Due to poor planning on my part, I needed a late checkout on Sunday morning. Hedi at the front desk was extremely helpful and was able to get us a late checkout. Hedi was friendly and courteous. She is a great example why I am a Hilton Honors member. Thank you Hedi!

This hotel is my husband's and my favorite place to take a night away for ourselves. The rooms are great. The front desk staff and the cleaning staff are fantastic. Great restaurant, very nice lobby, awesome little 24-hour convenience store-lots of snacks, and everything from laundry soap to shaving supplies. The water with fresh fruit in it at the front desk is an excellent added touch (and it's SO good!) I very highly recommend this place. They also have a lot of room options, and their prices are very reasonable!
