Wife and I went here for our 14 anniversary after our trip to Michigan started out terrible with another motel. Glad we found this Best Western and enjoyed staying there, staff, room and full breakfast made our trip end on a great note.
I stay at this property often and return due to several staff members pleasant attitudes, however, each stay at the Livonia property had issues. When I arrived on Tuesday, I smelled a strong stench from the bathroom in the shower drain. I used my disfectant chemicals to ease the smell. When I checked out this morning the smell returned. Also, each time staying at this property, I request a 1 pm check out. The late checkout is granted, but the housekeeper supervisor Angela always knocks on my door at 12 noon (with the do not disturb sign on the outside) and tell me I need to check out. This is not the first but the fourth time she did this; yesterday and today as well. On one occasion, the housekeeper came (who did not speak good English) and told me I needed to check out, disregarding my do not disturb sign. I explained, I was not due for check out and she began to shout and speak in her language. I told the daytime manager Dominic, the property manager, and the owner of the situation. This ongoing disrespect has warranted a need to file an official complaint. The food was not properly prepared. The hash browns were extremely hard. The French toast were hard. The batter for the pancakes were too watery and came out super thin which had the area smelling burnt. The area was not kept and the tables and floors were not clean. Please be consistent with thoroughly cleaning the rooms and breakfast area. Please address the lack of professional attitudes of some of the staff. Please, I appreciate if someone could look into this reoccurring issue. Thank you!
Basic hotel for travelers passing through. Breakfast was ok but could be better. Items come out one at a time so you can't make a complete selection... Eggs are available but the meat isn't then the egg runs out just in time for the hash browns to be put out.
room could be nice if it was cleaned properly. room #236. paint peeling from ceiling in shower. door knob to bathroom jamb screws loose. black mold on caulk on bathtub faucet. windows have long accumulation of filth on them. someone wrote "clean me" in the film covering the glass. werent going to leave housekeeping a tip but decided to leave a dollar on the floor by the by the table leg with mass of cobwebs. body hairs on sheets from someone else prior. nice location with restaurant next door and the breakfast bar was great. when checking out, the staff never asked "how was your stay" or anything. at $125 per night for 2 persons, mid week, i have paid less and had better.
Really clean hotel with nice people. The location is also good and easy to find. The bathroom is big enough with all the necessities, good shower 🚿 beds are clean too and there is stores near. It's also quiet place so perfect for people who don't like noisy places.I do recommend it, especially for the price, you will not regret it.
Although the first room we got had a smell coming in from the washroom, Angel was kind to give us a fresh room, no questions asked! She is very effective and personable and made our visit from Canada an amazing one! I also love the coffee and tea available.
Chrisondra at the front desk was fabulous! She booked me in manually while the computers were down. The person scheduled to do breakfast did not show so she came back the next morning to do that too. Chrisondra needs a raise - better yet put her in charge of everything! The hotel is scheduled to be renovated. At the moment the air conditioning in the lobby was not working. I had a first floor room and the air conditioning was fine there. Bed was comfortable.
My stay at the comfort inn was an experience every day my key card would not open up my door I had to go back downstairs two to three times to get a new key and to reprogram my key so I can get in my room. Hotel needs upgrading. The complimentary breakfast was very skimpy and not satisfying.
If I could give no stars I would! There was nothing comfortable or comforting about my stay here with my children traveling from another state! For starters.. it’s tricks and treats out side and all around the hotel. Picking up the treats (women) doing what they do and repeat. I watch this happen through out the night because I was unfortunately; unable to sleep. My first room was not only dirty from the bathroom to the bedding areas but I had to liter’s dry off with Kleenex because they had no towels, no phone to call to get any.. when we went down to request the things needed the gentleman said he’d have to go all the way downstairs blah blah blah so basically oh well.. my room was changed to another one but that sink was stopped up with dead bugs in it 😤🙄 I was just disgusted… giving me 39. Dollars back for that was crazy… the room was 131 with a deposit of 100 dollars, so 231 was the balance but I get the 100 back. So a extra 100 dollars for a deposit was removed from my account. So 2 deposits were taken from my account.
Walking into the hotel we had a nice experience at the front desk but the warm, balmy atmosphere was unpleasant. The hallways stayed muggy and warm. The air in our room didn't stay cool enough. The beds were comfortable, pillows and linens were clean. The room needed some repairs, flickering lights, bad patch work on the drywall repairs. Other than that it was a decent stay for the price. Aldi was nearby as were other shopping options for necessities and the like.
Their customer service was terrible I had to wait for the front desk clerk to finish doing whatever on here phone in the common area to get help. When asked about my club rewards she said she didn't know how to check, her manager was there but she didn't go get them. I got to my room and the ceiling was chipped I called the front desk to report it and they said it was fine. Had to clean the Jacuzzi myself and there was coagulated pee around the toilet.
