It was my first time getting to experience a Bed and Breakfast, and it was a very enjoyable time. They were very accommodating for myself and my 3 girls. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone!
This may be the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The owners have thought of everything a guest may want. The room was wonderful and had everything we needed. We often find that many places do not provide a nightstand on both sides of the bed or enough space on the bathroom vanity. The Pillow and Paddock provided both and the room was roomy and clean and bright. The bathroom was perfect. There is a room that has beverages, ice, magazines, etc. on the same floor as most of the bedrooms. They even have a theater room, a secret speakeasy and tornado shelter. The views are fantastic with horses, goats and pigs in the pasture.
My wife and I recently stayed here during the Viking Festival in nearby Eminence. We had an absolutely amazing experience. The owners were incredible to chat with, the place was beautiful, the breakdast was incredible. We stayed in the Nantucket room and it was gorgeous. There is so much to do at Pillow and Paddock that my wife and I were both commenting on how we were a little sad that we didn't have more time to spend on site. We will definitely be staying here again when we have more time to enjoy the place. The entire place is honestly a experience all in itself. Beautiful place, beautiful people and a beautiful experience all around.
Loved the room we stayed in - Room with a View. The area was beautiful as well as the bed and breakfast itself. The homeowners were very kind and helpful. We felt like we were part of their family. I’d highly recommend this B & B!
We spent a long weekend there. We enjoyed a lot the stay. The apartment was well equipped and decorated with class. The setting and area was beautiful in the middle of the horse ranches. Our kids enjoyed a lot feeding the horses and the pig. The staff was very attentive and helpful quickly replying and giving us useful suggestions for activities and dining in the area.Only improvement or watch out is that there is no available outlet to plug an EV. Installing one next to the garage doors could be a great improvement.
Lovely bed and breakfast in the country. Would definitely recommend!! The breakfast was fabulous, service above and beyond. We had an issue with a tablecloth at our daughter's wedding venue and they kindly assisted us. Gracious service!!
Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. The innkeeper could not have been nicer and even baked us cookies during our stay! Sitting out on the back porch looking at the stars was one of the most relaxing experiences my wife and I have had. Rooms were very clean. Would recommend to all my friends and family.
If you're looking for a quiet get away and quiet solitude, you'll definitely want to check in to The Pillow and Paddock. The views from the rooms are amazing, and it's so quiet both in the rooms, common areas, and outside. We enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts each morning and settled in each night by enjoying a relaxing dip in the hot tub, being serenaded by crickets and other peaceful evening noises, before heading off to bed. Being close to La Grange, which is one of the quaintest small towns we've ever had the pleasure of exploring, was a nice bonus. We didn't want to leave such a relaxing place, with such hospitable hosts, and we hope to be able to return to the peaceful solitude the next time we need a break from life.
First, there was smell of sewer gas on my room. When I mentioned it the next morning, I was told there was sewer work going on nearby, which seemed fishy because I only seemed to smell it in my room.As I lay I’m my room later it APPEARED to worsen every time the A/C kicked on. When I mentioned that to a different lady at the front desk I was met with a snarky “it’s not coming from the air conditioner.” She said she’d tell maintenance that the sewer gas was being trapped and to put something in the drain to fix it. It took a day for that to happen, which is better than nothing.Second, on my third and final night my sheets came off revealing a disgusting stain on the mattress. Picture attached.Third, the shower could not be turned off so you always get a wet head if you’re not careful. Not horrible but definitely needs updating. One nice thing was the bar/lounge. Not busy at all and a very kind and friendly lady (Cherie… not sure on spelling) manning it. Would be a nice place to hang out instead of leaving to find someplace to eat or get a drink.
This was a random stay and they were amazing at check in and very friendly. Very clean building and the room was as well. Breakfast was delicious. Will stay again
I had to pay 500 dollar deposit because I live locally! When I pressed as to why, the answer was, the local people usually trash the rooms! I felt disgusted, I am a 64 year old woman and I live locally, my id has my address if I caused damage. No faith in the people in this city, that's speaks volumes about the establishment and how they feel about the people in Louisville. My out of town family and friends will never stay at this facility!
Wonderful! Top notch customer service and quality! On the customer service side, when we forgot our jacket in room 207, they shipped it back to us right away, and only charged the shipping. Check in and checkout was also smooth. On the quality side, the room was big and clean with a sofa, fancy ottoman and desk, with granite countertops. And breakfast was great, with proper biscuits and gravy! Beds were really nice, and even the curtains were excellent (so definitely they have attention to detail). The room was just as nice as the publicity photos, which is rare and great to see.Overall, I think they definitely deserve an extra star for all this. I'll make it a point to stay here next time I'm in Louisville!
Advertised as having a hot tub. There is not one.the continental was a joke consisting of days old eggs and other products that were not fresh The bathrub was dirty. No smoking rooms . After going outside and following there rules ,was charged250 dollars for deposite. When I called the lady said that they took it bc she said I had smoked in the room. I felt like Comfort inn robbed me.
Got double charged upon check in still waiting to get repaid, toilet didn’t work, tv doesn’t work, refrigerator doesn’t work, shower leaks and doesn’t drain, sink is messed up, not very clean, refrigerator had food from the previous person in it, waited over 10 minutes for a receptionist to show up…. Later she locked herself out, and a workers younger daughter was running around in underwear. Stay as far away from this hotel as possible!!
