Very relaxing and pleasant. They had everything we could want or need. We stayed in Poppy's Retreat, which was the cheapest room listed but it was still very nice. The shower has jets for two people. The stairs are steep and narrow in that room only. Food was great. Everything in excellent condition. I would like to return.
My husband and I stayed here in July for our wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous experience. Not only was the Robin’s Nest very clean, comfortable, and exactly what was advertised, the surrounding property was beautiful and the staff were friendly. The grounds are amazing, with a wrap-around porch, walking trail and gardens. The owners greeted us upon arrival, and the breakfast staff provided outstanding food choices and service. Homemade cookies and snacks are available around the clock and they hosted tea time from 4-5 PM. I was very surprised to see the one-star review about the Robin’s Nest, as our experience was completely different. The Brampton website discloses exactly what you will get and should expect from your stay in the separate cottage. We are looking forward to returning when the weather is cooler, so we can take advantage of the woodstove and outdoor fire pit.
My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Brampton Inn. We enjoyed a delicious, freshly-cooked breakfast each morning. Afternoon tea was also scrumptious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The inn, its gardens and the natural beauty of the surroundings offer a private and countryside ambiance that ensure total relaxation. We were star-gazing the first night while sitting by the fire pit. We sampled some blackberries from the little garden in front of our cottage- that was such a treat. We had a totally enjoyable experience and highly recommend a visit to this inn.
The Brampton is a wonderful escape to a beautiful estate and cozy accommodations. My wife and I enjoyed the serenity and service provided by the inn as we stayed in the Fairy Hill suite of the manor house. The daily breakfast options were fantastic and farm fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed but otherwise would let you be.Location is an easy drive into Chestertown or down to Rock Hall for quick trips (many other sight seeing options available if looking to see more around the area).
My wife and I stayed at The Brampton Inn for three nights to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (June 2023). We stayed in Marley’s cottage - one of two private cottages offered. Upon opening the door of the rustic red barn for our private parking space (electric charging stations also offered), we felt immediately transported to our own private slice of heaven. The cottage had a quaint and modern design, with its natural wood architecture coupled with state of the bath amenities. We began our days swinging on the front porch swing while waiting for our custom breakfast to be delivered to our front porch cafe table. Following breakfast we could make a quick trip into historic Chestertown for fine dining at the Watershed or more causal fare at the Retriever Bar (best oysters out!) or venture to Rock Hall for a more upbeat casual vibe. To unwind in the evening we’d return to our cottage for a soak in the Japanese soaking tub, or swing in the hammock to the sounds of nature. To maximize our relaxation, we had a couples massage right in our cottage. Marjorie and Ruth-Ann did not disappoint, and the steam shower was the perfect post-massage amenity! Be sure to attend Tea Time every afternoon from 4-5pm for homemade treats including cookies and pastries. Tea Time is also a great opportunity to meet the wonderful owner Dave, who shared with us his dedication to restoring the historic beauty of the main house. We had a truly unforgettable experience at The Brampton Inn and will definitely be coming back to reconnect and recharge.
The staff is friendly, the grounds are well kept, nice for walking. Our cottage was very comfortable, and we loved the private back deck. The breakfast was delicious. A bonus, free wine, beer, sodas, and cookies in the library.
I have been coming to me in for over 15 years and will continue to return. Each experience is unique! Jim and Joanne are wonderful hosts and make everyone feel like family.
My wife and I stayed at Huntingfield Creek to celebrate our anniversary. Checking in was easy, the staff was overly friendly and our cottage exceeded our expectations. Joanne and Jim made us feel very welcome during breakfast, which was excellent. We will return and would recommend to anyone.
A Perfect Blend of Tranquility and EleganceI recently stayed at this charming B&B in Rock Hall, Maryland, and it exceeded all my expectations. The property strikes the perfect balance between the peaceful charm of a quiet farm stay in a beautiful setting and the sophistication of a boutique retreat. From the moment I arrived, I felt enveloped in serenity, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle. The attention to detail in both the accommodations and service was impeccable. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a mix of rustic charm and modern elegance, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. Every aspect of the stay was thoughtfully curated, from the bedding to the wholesome breakfast made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The hosts were warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about creating a memorable experience for their guests. Whether I was lounging on the porch with a cup of coffee or strolling through the beautifully maintained grounds, I felt completely at peace. The B&B offered the ideal combination of quiet retreat and sophisticated comfort, making it the perfect getaway.I can't recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning for another stay in the future!
We just recently got married at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek 9/21/24. It was an absolute DREAM wedding!! Jim and Joanne (owners) are absolutely fantastic. They treat you like family but they truly care about you and your wedding vision. Without them our vision could not have come to life. The venue speaks for itself, 70 acres of beautiful land. We were married under the weeping willow trees that were to die for. I cannot wait to get back all of our photos to show the true beauty of the property. Our whole wedding party was able to stay on property in the cottages and Inn. Having everyone in one place made for fun late nights at the fire and breakfast in the morning together where we recapped the night before. It felt like a family weekend of love and camaraderie. Brandon and I cannot wait to come back and visit on our anniversaries. The Inn at Huntingfield Creek, and Jim & Joanne truly hold a special place in our heart!! Do not hesitate - Book this venue!!!!
We had an amazing weekend! Property was well maintained! We enjoyed our long walks with the inn dogs in the morning, sunset on the dock, andeating fresh picked blackberries . Breakfast was incredible! What a great place!
We had a wonderful time at the Inn! It was a perfect getaway with our best friends. The staff and innkeepers were so accommodating, helpful with their suggestions and recommendations of the area! We loved visiting with the other guests at breakfast and at the pool. Our cottages were so beautiful, clean and well stocked with goodies. Thank you for a memorable stay. We highly recommend The Inn at Huntingfield! ?
We only stayed here one night and wished we had time to stay longer. We chose a room at the inn but we were upgraded to a cottage. The property was amazing and very tranquil. Breakfast was buffet style and very nicely done. Rosie is our new bff! (Photo attached)
We had a wonderful stay at Huntingfield Creek. We found this place when we were looking for a bed & breakfast for our engagement weekend. January is the off season for Eastern shore tourism, and the HC/inn had several spots available. We at first had a small room in the main house, but Joanne generously upgraded us to one of the cottages, and we’re both so grateful she did.The cottage was clean, cozy, quiet. It was a chilly weekend, and we took advantage of the gas fireplace and the hot tub. The shower was modern, and in the room, there was a comfortable sitting chair and a high-top table with two chairs, which I used to do some work Friday evening before my boyfriend arrived. The inn is on a huge expanse of land, surrounded by farms. It's beautiful and peaceful, a rural getaway with all the creature comforts.Breakfast was hearty, plentiful, and delicious, with lots of options for me, a vegetarian. Jim is very gregarious and entertains the guests during breakfast. He pointed out to us a trail on the property that leads to a spot on the bay, which was where we decided to propose to one another. The inn is within a half hour drive of Chestertown, the closest actual town. That's where we spent much of our Saturday afternoon and evening. It's a quaint river town, with an endless record store, a maze of a bookstore, enticing art galleries, and restaurants with tasty fare. I had some concerns about the area because we're a gay, interracial couple, but everyone was super nice to us. We didn't have a single bad experience because of my race or our sexual orientation. Jim and Joanne were very congratulatory when we told them we had gotten engaged, and Joanne then showed us their wedding venue digs, noting that they had hosted several same-sex nuptials.Without a doubt, we would stay here again. I don't know if it will become an annual tradition, but I look forward to coming here for future anniversaries and special occasions.
