This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Hotel staff entered my room and I had my money stolen. In just under an hour when I was at breakfast, $200 in cash was stolen from a bag I left in my room. Of course the door is locked and only hotel staff can enter the room. It is a small hotel and why I was targeted among other guests,At check-in they force you to pay $100, separate from the room charge. This is said at check-in, without prior notification from the hotel. The staff said it was a one-time payment in case the room was dirty and to be refunded upon check-out.I paid in cash, not credit card. The staff saw which bag I was taking cash out of. I told the other front desk staff at the hotel that my cash had been stolen. She told me that the rule is to never accept $100 deposit in cash. The hotel was clean and new and I felt completely safe and went to breakfast at the hotel cafe leaving the cash in my room. The front desk staff said they would inform the manager, who would check with housekeeping and contact me, but I never received an email. This hotel is indeed beautiful, but should be careful. The hotel is right in front of MIT and Google companies, and the hotel staff still steal guests' cash in their rooms. I strongly recommend that you do not stay at this hotel.
Don’t use their irons. They ruin shirts. Asked the front desk agent for three days how they can help, was told they would talk to a manager and get back to me. Never heard anything back. Great hotel. Bad customer resolution by management.
If I had the choice I'd rate the Kendall 4.5. My king superior room was plenty spacious, comfortable and quiet. I took advantage of the ability to visit the Cambridge Athletic Club. The nightly happy hour is a nice touch but, then again, it's the same two pours and roasted nuts every night. Ditto with breakfast, which as been mentioned in this space, becomes monotonous after a couple of days. Same everything from the choice of two teas, to the mini cranberry scones, to the scrambled eggs, etc. By my third morning I made other breakfast arrangements because I just couldn't get excited about the bowl of muesli (no other cereal choices). The missing element was hospitality. The place feels very transactional. When I saw a staff member I never saw a smile or got a warm welcome. The hotel needs to work on that.
Had a great stay in a central location for our first trip to Boston. walked to the north end and to fenway which was good considering we ate too much. We chose this hotel because it was a converted firehouse and it had awesome artifacts and history. Maaark at the front desk was a great host. Free breakfast and wine tasting. Very clean and comfortable beds. We will stay here again.
Lovely hotel! The rooms are beautifully decorated, quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty for all. The history of the building is really neat, too. Parking lot underground is small, but you can’t beat $25 for a day! Will absolutely return!
Be cautious when booking with The Kendall hotel's website. My experience with this hotel was disappointing. I made a non-refundable reservation in March for a summer vacation. The transaction didn't go through immediately due to security concerns, so I received a message from Mastercard to confirm the transaction. I confirmed it right away, but the hotel didn't charge my card until two weeks later, and with a significantly higher rate without notifying me.When I contacted the hotel about the overcharge, they insisted on not refunding me and cited it as their policy. I find this policy unreasonable and not customer-friendly at all.I suggest being careful when booking with this hotel, and if you encounter any issues with your reservation, be aware that their policy may not work in your favor."
All-around a great experience for marathon weekend. Our room on second floor was quite quiet, and the staff was a perfect balance of helpful and invisible. Parking for $25 a day was a good deal. I'd absolutely recommend this to a friend.
Cute and comfortable hotel, ideally located next to MIT Sloan College of business. Nice breakfast and happy hour. They give you a pass to use a gym close by.
What a wonderful hotel! The staff are so welcoming and helpful. I had a jacuzzi in the bathroom and a lovely free breakfast every morning. They have guest passes for the Cambridge Athletic Center too. I highly recommend staying here!
Very charming boutique hotel. Large rooms. Cozy robes. Traditional furniture. Great breakfast buffet. You know you are not in an impersonal chain hotel. We will continue to return here.
Great fun. Staff fabulous.Really liked the rooms. Comfy bed. Fun decor and quiet.Breakfast a bit repetitive and calorific. Tasty initially but it turns out there is such a thing as too much bacon.
I can’t say enough about this place. Rooms were clean and comfy. The decor in the hotel was unique and very interesting (in a good way)! The staff were clearly willing to go out of their way to help with anything we needed. The hot breakfast was great and the location couldn’t be better—it’s less than 1/4 mile from the closest subway stop. So convenient!
The hotel is beautiful. The wine tasting is a joke. Small plastic cup with a cheap white and a cheap red wine then you’re cut off after being asked twice what my room number was. A little embarrassing. The room is warm, hopefully it will cool down.
Wonderful get away!!Beautifully decorated, calming, and so needed! Spa was glorious! Steam room to unwind. Foot soak and complementary Tea just perfect! Meditation room thoughtful! We were greeted by friendly faces every day! Champagne on check-in was fabulous! Gift of wine for our Anniversary waiting in our room. Fireplace and Tub in the room checked boxes! Superb! Breakfast on the veranda looking at the fish was a favorite of mine!
A great place for a single day, maybe two.Be aware: Mirbeau is truly in the middle of nowhere. The closest building is an assisted living facility. There are "trails" from the inn sandwiched between golf holes. The bikes Mirbeau provides are "for display only" joked the spa desk staff. Wish they'd told us that before we attempted to take them for a ride! If you have no intention to leave the spa, then none of this should concern you.The food and wine are excellent. The staff members are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable as are the public lounging spaces. The garden, though small, is well maintained. The spa, especially the outdoor part, is top notch. I don't normally like live music, but the guys they hire to play at dinner are truly talented.Aside from the Spa and dining there really isn't anything else to do at Mirbeau and that might very well be all you need for a short, pampered break from the real world. Enjoy.
Mirbeau exceeded all of our high expectations! My daughter had her wedding there two weeks ago. It was Fabulous. We live more that 370 miles away and booked it site unseen. Crazy? Maybe, but my daughter and her fiancee did visit for the tasting and loved it. The pictures on the website are exactly how it looked at the end of July. Gorgeous flowers, green grass just beautiful. Everyone that we worked with was extremely helpful and friendly. The appetizers and the main meal were delicious. The rooms were big and beautiful, luxurious. The spa was great as many of our wedding guests booked massages as well as the bride! It is a Magical resort and just perfect for a gorgeous wedding. Patty the G.M. and Suzanne the Sales Manager were both terrific. Extremely helpful and accommodating. We would do it all over again in a second, and I wish that we could!
We did a ladies spa day here over the weekend. We started in the bistro for breakfast and everything was delicious. I loved that there were healthy options and the portions were nice. The spa itself is gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our group. My only complaint is the price of the massage. As others have mentioned, you barely receive a 50 minute massage. I booked a deep tissue and asked for the focus on my back. The massage therapist did not focus on the back but more my arms and legs and also did not really know how to get any knots out or do deep pressure. It was disappointing. For $190 it was outrageous and they also ask you to add 20% gratuity on top. Lastly, the options for lunch at the pool are ridiculous. It was $22 for a pre made wrap with 20% gratuity included. I’d return to dine again at the bistro but the spa was not worth the money in my opinion.
You cannot afford to miss out at The Bistro at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth. French inspired dishes in a bistro dining room surrounded by fireplaces, a wine bar and beautiful gardens. But the amazing dishes are not to be overlooked.Featured Dishes:Primi -Fritto MistoHeirloom Tomato and Zucchini French TartCharcuterie and cheese boardFrench Onion Soup Short RibEntree -Confit Duck L'OrangeFilet Mignon with Lobster TailDessert -Chocolate and macarons plate with cheesecake and brownie bitesLe Crookie - Cookie dough stuffed French croissant ice cream sandwich
Honestly, not worth the price. It was just okay. I walked in for my couples spa day with high expectations. Especially for how much we spent. Like others have said, the quiet room is not quiet and staff just doesn’t care. They were a part of the problem actually. The aqua terrace food/drink pricing is ridiculous. We each had 1 cocktail and split a premade wrap that was gross and it was $78. It was overcrowded in the aqua terrace area it was awkward. I was surprised because it was a Monday afternoon. Really just wanted some quality relaxing time with my fiance but that didn’t really happen. We did the couples massage package and I was expecting a private jacuzzi and it was legit just a bath tub. If I had known that I wouldn’t have selected that option. I will say the chocolate covered strawberries were delicious and our food at the bistro was good. Our server at the bistro was excellent as well. Overall, I will not be returning as it is far overpriced for the service and amenities offered.
My friend stays here when she is in town. She treated me to dinner and showed me her room. The grounds are lush and beautiful. The food was good. The service was awesome the staff was very friendly... The location is great very private..,
We spent the week and it was beyond lovely! Guests of the hotel get priority when it comes to treatments and access to other amenities. Treatments were amazing and worth the price. Rooms are large and have a full clawfoot tub (which was originally why we booked) and clean. Housekeeping went beyond expectations and organized our mess of toiletries and did a turn down service every night of our stay (when we were at dinner). We highly recommend and are already planning our next trip!
My husband and I stayed for 1 night to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful weekend. We were so grateful for the couples massage and the bottle of wine gifted to us when the receptionist/attendant learned we were celebrating a special occasion. Beds are super comfy and the best part is, rooms have a fireplace and antique style tub to add to the romance. Their outdoor jacuzzi was warm, clean, and relaxing (the nearby bar was a plus). One thing I felt was missing would have been some relaxing music outdoors to create some white noise and cancel out conversations other people were having. We also relaxed in their sunroom which was so warm compared to the spring breeze. Our package included complimentary breakfast which was very delicious and light. To top it all off, there’s an intimate garden on the property that we took some adorable photos in. We left there floating on cloud nine.Thank you to all at Mirabeau for a memorable weekend!!
This was our first time at Mirbeau. My boyfriend and I were gifted a couples package which was filled to the brim with fun and relaxing activities. Our favorite was actually the brunch; with live music, amazing food and delicious mock tails, we will even be back without a spa planned. But after a lovely brunch we had a few hours to kill in the relaxation areas indoors and outdoors. Everything was relaxing and beautiful and well kept. The waitstaff were cleaning constantly and always there to offer assistance. Would definitely come back. Thank you Kara and Amanda (-:We didn’t stay at the hotel.
The best of the best! If you're looking for the most relaxing weekend getaway with your gfs or spouse, this is the place to be! From the room, spa services, to the dining....impeccable. Also get this... you get to walk around and dine (except for dinner) IN YOUR ROBE. Room was adorable, food was delicious and staff was expectational- a big thanks to Debbie, Nancy & Stacey for being so accommodating. Lastly, Jackie, the best massage I have ever had.I will we back for sure 🙂
My husband and I love mirbeau and try to come once a year as a treat. We’ve tried a couple other spa hotels and they never hold a candle to Mirbeau. The staff is friendly, the spa and amenities are wonderful, and we always get room service. I will say we had two stand outs this time- Nancy makes the most memorable forbidden fruit cocktails and I could tell when it wasn’t her making them for me. I’ve had many massages, and Cara gave me the best massage of my entire life. Perfect blend of relaxing and truly feeling my muscles stop hurting. Perfect trip as always!
Um... this is a nice spa, and the location is great with plenty of parking. The reason for 3 stars is that I felt cattle prodded. The massage was extraordinarily expensive. Almost 200.00 for together. Including gratuity. It was a decent massage, but it did not feel special. The staff are moving so quickly changing out linens and towels that I was literally smashed into with a door opening. It's not as relaxing as one would hope simply because there are so many people, mostly women, everywhere. Clearly the majority of people are getting a massage after using a gift card. The front desk feels similarly less than refined. A little pushy. I would skip this place unless I were to go with friends. It's a fun house for girlfriend get togethers. Not great for solos.
I had stayed at Mirabeau 4 years ago and it was a gem, reasonably priced and well maintained. Post pandemic it appears to be struggling while doubling its prices. The spa is excellent. The staff was courteous and the massages top notch. The gym was good but the tv does not work. The room was nice but they have no refrigerator. The weak spot was the dining room. Service was slow the food mediocre. On Thanksgiving the hotel discontinued its room service and bar an hour early without notice. There was no food on the resort of any kind. Since we had an early afternoon dinner this was problematic. The manager did grant a credit but the damage was done as we went without any food until the day.If you want to compete with Boston prices or make this comparable to other luxury spas, you’re going to need to up your game. Please take this as a constructive criticism.
Mirabeau is simply incredible to say the least! The entire day I felt like a vip. Everyone from the ladies at the front desk, to my massage therapist and even the bartender catered to me hand and foot. Everyone was beyond friendly and I even went on thanksgiving and even for a holiday everyone was so lovely! The true star of the day was my massage therapist Jennifer. She is the best I highly recommend her!! It was my first massage and she made sure everything was going good during my massage. She even offered different techniques to help relieve some knots. She is also a great hype women and made me feel so confident, comfortable and amazing throughout my massage. She made the experience as if you were just hanging with a friend.Overall i had an amazing time at Mirabeau and will absolutely be back!! Thank you to Jennifer and all of the other wonderful staff members who made my thanksgiving one I will never forget!
