This was a nice stopping place for our trip from our cabin in Northern Michigan to our home in Delaware. Very nice accommodations and a really good breakfast.
Our visit to Jacqueline House was beyond expectations. The grounds, views, and service were outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the fall.
From the inviting smell as you enter the house to its charming location, you will not be disappointed staying at The Jacqueline House. It is impeccably clean, has an inground swimming pool, an on-site massage therapist that can be reserved in advance. Perfect location for those coming to visit Westminster College!
The Jacqueline House of Wilmington surpassed my expectations. I swam, ate the delicious breakfast prepared by Patricia, and could always contact Lisa if I had any questions or concerns. I chose the Volant room and it was perfect. The location of The Jacqueline House made my trip memorable. It was surrounded by gorgeous scenic views.
Well worth driving a little off "the beaten path" to get to one of our favorite B&B where hospitality is premium at a reasonable price. They accommodate our need for a vegetarian breakfast. Their EV charging station recharged our Tesla as we had wonderful sleep. They have two charging stations, a Tesla and J-1772 for most other EVs.This has become one of our favorite places when traveling between Wyoming and the East coast via I-80.Some day we will return for a multi-day stay.
Stayed here for a babymoon and I have to say that this is the greatest Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Clean, well maintained, great pool, and on top of it all, snacks and breakfast provided. Room for four couples but the place is large enough that you don't feel like you're on top of each other if everyone is home. Very close to shopping, attractions, and restaurants as well. Look forward to coming back again!
Once walking into this beautiful building instantly transports one back to a time of simple elegance! You are pampered with all of the historical and detailed architecture of an upper-class house of a bygone era while enjoying all the modern conveniences of today's life. The food amenities, calming rooms and friendly helpful staff/owner are a treat. If you need some R&R, book now.
I had a wonderful stay at The Jacqueline House! I am so glad I found this place and chose it over a hotel. The location was perfect and the house was warm and inviting. The Volant Room was comfortable and so quiet - I slept very well! The breakfasts prepared by Kristen were amazing. They have thought of every detail - snacks, coffee, wine, a small fridge/freezer available for some drinks I brought and freezer packs, water. They even had diffusers and sample essential oils in the room, which I did use. From the front porch, I caught a nice Amish Country sunrise. Had it not been freezing cold when I stayed there, I would have had coffee on the porch in one of the rocking chairs each morning. I loved the charm of the house and wish I could have spent more time in the sitting room reading a book. The whole experience was so peaceful and offered a much needed retreat. I definitely would like to stay here again.
Where to start !?!?!I took my wife here for Saint Valentine's day, but made it a three day getaway. We had a great time and can't wait to come back! This place is awesome. As for food, breakfast cooked right there, different each day, and I will say fancy, very well done...... no prepacked single muffin and banana here folks. The room we had was great, from the jacuzzi tub, king bed, and décor, all was very nice. We loved the classic old-time beautiful everything from wallpaper to pictures, true beauty, not the modern, blah, plain, flip a 100-year old rug upside down and call the worn out look of the backing the top, modern, and progressive. I hate that empty worthless look and feel and have seen it so many other places, but again, not here. Outside, from the covered porch, great lighting all around, and peace of a country road, with the occasional cluck clunk of an Amish buggy riding by, it is such a great place to breathe. Can't say enough, These folks run this place first class, and my 5-star review is only one of many for a simple reason, this place is simply 5-stars! Thanks!
We went for the team time it's my favorite thing, and I bring my 8 year old along for the ride. This time we did the Halloween tea not sure that's what it's called but she got to wear a costume, candy bag, decorate a pumpkin, a harpist player Halloween theme songs, fancy finger foods and tea of course! we will be back for the teddy tea. The staff are wonderful as well. Everyone is so polite.
Recently stayed at the Rittenhouse Hotel which is affiliated with the Leading Hotels of the World. The check-in and check-out process was a mess. At check-in we did not get our room until 6PM. At that time they said that they have entered a late checkout of 2PM for the next day. We went for lunch next day and came back at 1PM to find that someone had packed up our open suitcases and moved it to security downstairs. Took us over an hour to get our suitcases. Front desk claimed that someone had told them we had checked out. Checked my credit card today and found out that they had tacked on additional charges post check-out to my bill. I have called several times to resolve and find out more and had to leave a voicemail as they have not been responding. For room rates that exceed $700/night it better to stay at the Ritz or Philadephia Four Seasons. Definitely not in the same league as other Leading Hotels of the World.
My wife and I did and overnight stay in one of the suites. The rooms and amenities were immaculate. Anywhere we had food and drink was spot on. Room service breakfast was a 10! Great location within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Check this place out if you can! We will be back.Tyrone Bates
Impeccably manicured grounds and hotel. Rooms are exceptional. Restaurants some of the best in Philadelphia. Pricey but worth every penny. The Rittenhouse Hotel has its five-star reputation for many good reasons. I highly
The staff are warm, accommodating, and have a great attention to detail. Very understated and elegant hotel. I stayed here for my wedding in the city. The hotel manager gave me a room with a beautiful view of Rittenhouse Square and sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries with a hand-written note, which made my stay very memorable. They sent housekeeping up early so I could have my getting ready pictures taken in a tidy room and let me check in a little early. They truly make a lot of effort towards customer satisfaction. The afternoon tea time had a harp player, and the tea selection was better than most other luxury hotels. Much more serious teas of quality. The food was also very good. It was my husband's all-time favourite afternoon tea.
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Rittenhouse. The hotel was beautifully designed, spotless, and I was continually greeted with a smile from all the staff. The service was excellent for me as a vendor which says an awful lot. Sometimes a venue will treat the wedding couple and guests well but will disregard the fellow vendors. That is something that certainly did NOT happen at the Rittenhouse. From a photography standpoint, there are so many great locations in the hotel to shoot. The library, bar, courtyard, steps, and front facade are all stunning environments for pictures with the couple, wedding party, and family. The neighborhood around the hotel is also charming and there are a lot of side streets to explore and shops/restaurants to enjoy. Do not overlook the Rittenhouse Hotel for your wedding venue. Absolutely amazing!
Our recent stay at The Rittenhouse was fabulous! The room was well appointed (we appreciated the separate living area and separate shower and tub in the bathroom) and we had a great view of Rittenhouse Square. The service was fantastic - from the doormen to the front desk to room service. Victor, in the lobby, was especially helpful and kind. The spa and indoor pool were also enjoyable. Only negative of the whole trip was we were told the pool remained open until 10pm, however, upon arrival at 9pm the staff member told us it was closed for "restocking." A great luxury choice if you are visiting Philly!
