For your next visit to Rockford or its surroundings, why not make it unforgettable with hotels that have a hot tub in the room—the ideal way to chill out?
We suffered a multi-day power outage locally and I needed somewhere to survive the cold. I called and spoke with someone, and asked if they were pet friendly. They said yes, and I proceeded to book the room. Later that day after checking into my room I had messaged the front to see if dogs were allowed in the pool area. They responded WAIT! You have a dog? You need to pay your $75 animal fee. Ummmm… nobody ever mentioned this. I would have never booked a room that charged that. But they went ahead and added it to my stay. So be aware when booking. Very disappointing.
Stopped in for the night while driving through Illinois later at night. Rachel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and courteous given the hour we rolled in. Upon entering the room, it was much nicer than expected for the price. The room was better than more expensive hotels that we stayed in during our 3-week cross country roadtrip. We left at 530 am and were offered free bottles of water for our trip by the gentleman at the desk. Unfortunately, we didn't get his name.Very pleased with the service and our stay.
Always have a good experience here. The rooms are of great size for longer or shorter stays. The breakfast is on point with both cook to order and continental items. There is a charge but when cooked to order, it is expected and worth it. It’s also very nice since they have recently renovated the lobby spaces. Not sure if the rooms were renovated at the same time but they are nice either way.
Not a great experience. It did the job, but only just. Staff member when I was checking in was breathtakingly rude, but every other staff member I encountered was personable and kind. The hotel itself is rather outdated, and not everything works. Only 1 elevator was operational and the sign posted on the out of order elevator suggested guests take the stairs. All that might have been excusable, but the really big problem for me was how incredibly uncomfortable the beds were. My bed was very lumpy and the sheets would not stay on the bed. I had a backache for my entire trip. Did not sleep well at all, which is ultimately the number 1 function of a hotel. The water pressure in the shower was not great either. Overall, not what I've come to expect of a Hilton property. The breakfast cafe was really good, with made to order eggs, bacon, pancakes, and more. So being generous, I'll give it 3 stars. Wish I had a better experience though!
Great hotel with clean rooms and comfortable amenities. The staff went above and beyond and provided exceptional service and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was very fresh and delicious. Hotel location was great too and the area seemed very safe. We will definitely stay here again! A++
Full breakfast starts at 0630 but you should wait until 0700 so you are not waiting behind the staff to get their breakfast. Eggs were egg whites not eggs. Coffee offering wasn't bad however the only choice you have for flavor is hazelnut. I have had better breakfast at a motel.
This is a remodeled site. Did a good job until you look at the fan in the bathroom! Yikes!Although they have advance online check-in, you can't check out online. Probably not a biggie for some but I really like the online check out.
The pool was clean and not overdosed with chemicals. The room was clean and beds were rather comfortable. If I'm ever in that area and in need of a hotel I will stay there again
I’ve never been so disappointed in a Holiday Inn Express. The room was so dirty. There were stains all over the desk chair. The bathroom floor was sticky and the shower floor was brown because water didn’t drain properly. My baby was crawling around and her feet were dirty just from dragging on the carpet. There was also a fight outside our room at about 3:30 am. When I went to call the front desk about it the phone didn’t even work. It will be the Hilton or Springfield for us next time.
