So so happy we chose Melrose Mansion to stay at! You never know if the photos online are just a spruced of version, Melrose Mansion was exactly as charming and wonderful as the photos. I couldn’t stop taking in all the cute little details. Service was amazing as well and don’t even get me started on the 24 hour pool. Will definitely be coming back!
We stayed here for a week and loved every minute! All the staff were SO SO nice, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The mansion itself was adorable, and the location was great for being near to the French Quarter. I would stay here again for sure.

He was so enthusiastic, helped us with everything, wonderfull laugh, just a wonderfull sweet friendly person who welcome us as VIP guests. I have never went to a hotel and Brian came out and said let me help you with your bags, and park your car. He even offered me a cup of tea. The room was absolutely breath taking. The bathroom was marbeled with a Huge bathtub. Roomza hotels take extra care of their guest. There was beverages and snack for us to enjoy for free. We also enjoyed a hot amazing breakfast. You will not regret your stay here minutes away from French quarter.
Graceful old lovely building with a nice outdoors pool area well-located right near the French Quarter. Mostly very pleasant. My main complaint were the beds. Old full-size uncomfortable mattresses (they told us it was Queen, but definitely not, so a tight squeeze for two.) They offered to switch us to a King-sized room, so we returned midday to do the switch but when we saw the new room it had exactly the same poor quality full-sized mattress, so we just went back to our old room. The "continental breakfast" is also very mediocre: the coffee is bad, there's no milk or any option except for those miniature plastic creamers, and the muffins are the cheapest mass-produced corner deli type with lots of bad ingredients. With a bit more effort this could be a top place to stay.
We wanted a nice hotel that was close to all the fun things to do in New Orleans. We were not disappointed! The hotel was nice, had drinks in the mini fridge, and a TV that you could order room service from.The rooftop had a great view of the city. We were able to walk to Burbon Street in about 10 minutes and have a blast there. Valet will take care of your car. Tambria and Sanaa at the front desk were great and very helpful as well.
Absolutely amazing! Second trip to visit Virgin hotel and it never disappoints. The hotel is cool with fun artwork and overall genuinely beautifully designed, but my favorite part is the staff. Every Single Employee is kind, thoughtful, and cares about every guest. Thank you so much for making my birthday and my husband’s first trip to NOLA so spectacular.

Our 1st visit to New Orleans was amazing! From Bourbon St, the upper and lower French Quarter, the WWII Museum, the paddle boat jazz brunch, the ghost tours, the FOOD. Magnificent. With all of that, the best part of our 21st anniversary trip was the hotel. The Virgin Hotels - New Orleans. Great location, beautiful room and the service from the staff was outstanding. There was a gentleman there, Ryan B. - I'm embarrassed that I forgot his last name! I would love to hire him for my company. He was absolutely perfect in every way. Found myself coming into the lobby before my days started just to get a chance to speak with him. The entire staff there is amazing - and I feel terrible about not being able to recall anyone else's name, but THIS guy is a rock star. Would be interesting to see what he could do with the next Virgin property that opens.
New Orleans is truly a gem of a city to visit. But what made it more enjoyable was our stay at the Virgin Hotel - New Orleans. The room was excellent, the amenities truly met all of our needs. I had a concerning experience during my recent stay. At check-in, the front desk staff announced my room number out loud twice, which made me uncomfortable. When I reached my room, I found the door slightly open and the TV on. Inside, there was a man who claimed to be a maintenance worker fixing the air filters. When I asked if the AC was broken, he ignored me and moved towards the bed area. Feeling uneasy, I returned to the front desk. The staff seemed confused about any maintenance work and moved me to a different room.During a previous visit over a year ago, the door to my room was freshly painted without any warning, resulting in ruined clothes and paint on my skin. They offered only a small discount at that time.The hotel itself is charming, but the customer service and safety need significant improvement.

I'd say that my first stay experience at a Virgin hotel has been good. Even though a bit small, the rooms are quiet and comfortable. The hotel design (outside and inside) is very cool and modern. A few things that prompted me to give it a 4-star review: The upstairs pool is too small to be used really and is there more for decoration. Also the reception area is always very packed because the space is too small, forcing the existing customers to temporarily get stuck behind a bunch of new guests or have a hard time navigating through the crowd - please consider having another door available for use by existing customers. Overall I enjoyed the stay and I'll definitely visit again.
