We arrived at 12:30 am after my mom was released from the ER nearby. We were greeted by Mariama at the front desk. She was so gracious and helpful, going above and beyond to help get my mom a wheelchair to use to get to our room, as well as getting my mom a hot cup of tea. Her warmth was so appreciated. In the morning, Kevin and Scott at the front desk were equally helpful. All three left a lasting impression of what great customer service is -- this is a huge part of what makes a guest come back for a return visit. Thank you, All!
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in San Bernardino and the rooms were spacious, clean. Customer service was great. Friendly service from Kevin at the front desk. Would definitely recommend!
Some of the rooms on the second floor are located close to the HVAC system. If your room is near the systems, you can hear LOUD engine and fan noises. The noises make it extremely hard to sleep. If you are a hard sleeper, this may not bother you. However, it's LOUD enough to bother most people. The Front Desk Team and General Managers are aware of this condition and don't appear to care. In fact, one of the Front Desk Agents, stated, its not a huge issue because most people haven't complained. The management should make you aware of this issue at check-in, but they don't. I would not stay here again.
Big crack across window in room, light in bathroom kept going on and off while in bathroom, elevators sounded like they were going to break down at any moment and the service dates were expired so we went down the stairs instead and one broke while we were headed down- very dangerous! Swimming pool and hot tub was down a dark alley. Breakfast was 18.00 per person for what should have been a complimentary meal. People at desk non-chalant and acted like they really just didn’t care.
Very nice and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Has a nice small bar and restaurant. You can walk to quiet a few restaurants. The most important thing was their customer service. Very nice at the front desk.
I would love to give this wonderful place a five star. Beautiful, clean the women and older gentleman seem very pleasant. However there is a young boy, probably not even 18 who seems to have a problem saying hello. My family is mixed, he speaks to my wife who is Mexican, each time that I have said hello he literally looks away, I am a Black Woman (just putting that out there). It's unfortunate that he is so young and already has some sort of hate/prejudice in his heart. Young man grow up and I will pray for you. To the owners lovely location but unfortunately my family will not be returning, thank you for the 6 lovely days!
We got stuck on 18 last night heading to Big Bear due to the wind, fog & snow. Giant Oaks was right off the highway and a safe place to stop. While we typically might have looked elsewhere for lodging besides a roadside lodge, we were pleasantly surprised by and very grateful for the clean, comfortable accommodations. Staff was super sweet and we were glad to have made a fun memory staying at Giant Oaks. Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciate the directions to nearby over-size parking! It was so helpful! Our room was quaint and kitchy and we loved the cozy fireplace in the main room. It had every convenience with dining table, fridge, micro. Nice big bathroom! Super cute balcony with additional seating. Service was great! We had to call 3 times with questions, all of which were met with every courtesy! Bryson checked us in and was very professional! We loved it! And we will stay here again! Happy customers! Nothing bad to write about! A+++++
Please don't waste your time here. Terrible service. Bryson who looks like he's 14 was running the front desk and was very disrespectful to me as a paying customer. The selling point was the indoor pool and spa. When we asked to go once we ran around town finding bathing suits for my family, he said it's one family at a time and it's booked the rest of the night when in fact it was two families who booked it for two hours each. Which there rules on the sheet itself said one family, one hour at a time. I was upset, and communicated that Gary told us over the phone there was a pool and spa for us to use. There was never any mention one family at a time or it being booked the rest of the evening we would have stayed else where. The way Bryson was speaking to me was 100% unprofessional for working at this business. I asked for the manager multiple times and he rudely said Gary is busy. Then walked back there and came back and still said Gary was busy as I stood there very upset. Would not recommend to ANYONE.
We went for our anniversary. Great hidden gem. You can sign up for an hour of private pool and spa time in a covered pool. They have a great selection of rooms.
This is such a nice, quaint place! The room had a very cozy, rustic feel (stone fireplace and overall decor), but it was very modern. Hot water/water pressure was great and a microwave and fridge were present in the room. The room was clean and the staff was very nice.
I'm staying in a room as I type this: The room is adorable. It's comfortable. I adore how the fireplace is the heater for the entire room. The couple running this place love it. I just passed them on the way in from a walk, and they were discussing the outdoor lighting. There's a cute house/cottage building that has the indoor pool in it. I really wanted to take advantage of it, but I only randomly stopped by for the night. Totally recommend this place for some relaxation.Restaurants, cafés, shops and other things are walking distance.
The pool and jacuzzi were gross with mold on the walls. Mold came out of the jets in our room tub. Hot water stopped working. Shower head was randomly sitting water everywhere. Family owned, great stop half way up the mountain and easy to get to. Rooms are warm and cozy.
