Decent hotel. A/C didn’t work in the room, but it’s always so chilly in Capitola so you can just crack the window and leave the fan running and it’s pretty comfortable. Hotel room is very clean. They offer laundry which you can get quarters for at the front desk. You may need to run the dryer twice though. The washer shows the time, but the dryer doesn’t. It’s a 45 min dryer for like $1.25, so not bad at all. It’s nice they even offer that in the first place.
First time in Capitola and this place was phenomenal. Desk staff was welcoming. Free breakfast and it was a decent spread (waffles, eggs, bacon/sausage, etc). Breakfast attendants were courteous and serious about their jobs. They asked multiple times if everything was ok. I was able to walk to local restaurants, Whole Foods, Capitola Mall, and the beautiful Capitola beaches. Free parking!!! Will definitely stay here again.
The gentleman who checked me in (I believe his name is Ryan- I’m terrible at remembering names), he was phenomenal. Very nice and helpful, broke down where everything was, and overall just made the beginning of the stay very memorable, excellent customer service. The hotel is beautiful. The guest center is very nicely decorated and spacious, I haven’t been to the pool/tub or gym yet, but the room is super nice and comfy. It even has a pull out couch, and my kid loved and took over that lol.On my way in I noticed a mall like 3 blocks away, and there are little shopping centers on every block with cool little shops and food- definitely seems like there’s a lot to do nearby.A great location, would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a home away from home
Check-in was quick and the desk staff were so friendly, informative, and helpful. Secured parking- perfect! The room was a comfortable size for a family of 4. The shower was stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash and the bathroom was a good size. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable and it was so QUIET. We had breakfast at 6:30am and everything was ready to go, hot, and well-stocked. (Eggs, coffee, sausage, waffles, bagels, English muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc). Breakfast staff were AWESOME!The pool is heated so swimming can always be accomplished!Loved everything about this place. So glad we decided to stay here instead of in the hustle of Santa Cruz. We went to the boardwalk, the wharf, and went golfing at De Laveaga (quick and easy 10 min drive - either through town or on the 1), then got to escape to Capitola at the Fairfield Inn. Would highly recommend and definitely come back. Thank you!!
Absolutely a pleasure staying here. Its location is about 5 minutes from the epicenter of fun on the beach, by foot. This historic house was built by a developer for himself who also designed and built the wharf on the bay. This is the house where he overlooked his progress at night with a cigar and a whisky, I imagine. The property is kept in immaculate shape. It’s preserved all of the old world architecture but with modern amenities, for example in our #5 suite, an outdoor private hot tub. The room was brilliantly kept, and the hallways stairs open up to a beautiful stained glass skylight.Special shoutout to Mary, whose hospitality was second to none. She is the master chef that puts breakfast together in the morning. She is amazing at her job, and she is a fountain of conversation.I will be back, my wife and I loved Santa Cruz (first visit) and will absolutely set reservations for this place again.
We were notified of early check in, which was great, but we were traveling and not able to get there early to take advantage of it. We were put on the third floor with no help to get our luggage up the stairs. The room had a tiny window and no A/C. Only two tower fans that make squeaking noises if you put them on rotate. We spent an hour before bed trying to move furniture in order to get the fan in front of the very small ONE AND ONLY window...It was 60 degrees outside but 80 degrees in our room. The bathtub was a nice treat except that more than half of the jets did not work. We were not able to take advantage of wine and cheese hour because we were out exploring, same with breakfast, it seems like it starts a little late (830AM) for people who are in Santa Cruz to go explore the beaches. We asked for a late check out and were told that it was not possible.Cookies were delicious and a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and sleeping would have been much better with a cooler room. The one employee we talked to at the front desk was very nice.We will not stay again because for the price we were expecting nicer accommodations or at least to be able to sleep well. The stuffiness and heat of the room along with dragging our suitcases up to a third floor, and a broken tub, was not worth the price for us.
On a ten day trip up the Pacific coast, this was definitely one of our favorite stops! The ocean view was better than I imagined, and the room was clean, cozy, and quiet. The breakfast was fantastic, and so was the staff! One minor thing to note: the balcony room doesn't have a private balcony, it's a public one, so we did occasionally have people sitting RIGHT outside our open window, which was a little awkward haha. Otherwise, wonderful experience.
Wonderful experience! The house is so cute and relaxing. We were upgraded from our reservation upon arrival--the room was very comfortable and gorgeous with cookies waiting on us when we checked in. The wine and cheese hour was a treat; I enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean with my wine and cheese. Breakfast was also good. Would definitely stay again! I have never been to Santa Cruz before, and this was a great way to stay centrally located in the city and close to the wharf. It is only about a 5 minute walk (if that) down to the beach.
Beautiful property, professional and helpful management. The rooms are lovely and the jacuzzi tub was huge!! The water pressure in the shower is outstanding. The bed was so comfortable, nice pillows. The breakfast was lovely and you can not beat the location. Well done 4 Sisters!!

When is the best time to book a hot tub suite in Santa Cruz to ensure good value?
To enjoy the best value on a hot tub suite in Santa Cruz, consider visiting during the off-peak seasons. Late fall to early spring, excluding holidays, often presents lower rates and fewer crowds. Booking your stay mid-week can also lead to discounts as opposed to weekend pricing. Keep an eye on local events or festivals as hotels may raise their rates during these periods. Booking well in advance or looking for last-minute deals can also secure you a hot tub suite at a more competitive price.
Are there certain times of the year when the rates for hotels with hot tubs in Santa Cruz increase?
Yes, hotel rates in Santa Cruz, including those for rooms with hot tubs, typically increase during the summer months from June to August when the beachside city is a popular tourist destination. Additionally, rates may spike around major holidays and during local events such as the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk concerts or the annual surf competitions. To avoid higher prices, consider planning your stay during the shoulder seasons in late spring or early fall when the weather is still pleasant, and the rates are more moderate.
