I am a former resident of Shreveport and always wanted to experience this hotel. The lobby is spacious and rich with historic beauty. The staff at check in, valet and bar could not be more friendly and helpful. The suite is huge, but very dated and this the disappointment. The mattress was very comfortable. The room smelled smoky and the bathroom is sooo dated! I was afraid to fell crawling into the high bathtub to shower. The towels are thin and the tollet paper thin and cheap. I hate hotels that do not use thirsty towels and use cheap tissue.
This hotel was different but a good different. We got a vip suite and fell in love with all the interior design! The only thing was weird was the parking?Still don't know were your supposed to park if you don't valet. But you'd probably want to valet park anyway.
Best place to stay in Shreveport hands down. I stay here monthly for work & the staff and I are on a first name basis. Chris, Jett, and Lewis will bend over backwards to make sure you’ve got everything you need. Valet service is exceptional and affordable. There’s a little bar downstairs if you need a drink. They even have a full service boutique salon & spa with massage & Hydrafacial! I’ve had both & they are fantastic. Housekeeping is by request, but that’s totally fine with me. The rooms are all themed differently in a chic boutique style & they’re all beautiful. Very comfortable beds. I’ve stayed in about all of them, and I do have my favorites now! Most rooms I’ve stayed in have either shower/tub combo or both. The penthouse jacuzzis are my favorite! All rooms I’ve stayed in have a mini fridge. I believe most had a microwave. No room service because there is no kitchen, but the staff is so helpful with dinner recommendations. Also, the penthouse is so affordable, I highly recommend you splurge! It’s worth it. The views are beautiful. Coffee & snacks are available in the morning. No full service breakfast. All rooms have smart TVs which I prefer so I can login and watch Netflix. Wifi can be spotty in some of the rooms but 4th floor & lobby have good connections. Overall beautiful hotel & I highly recommend it for your trip to Shreveport!
The hotel itself is beautiful! I’m local and I’d never stayed here so my wife & I booked a room for my birthday. She called in advance & spoke with the staff about accommodations but everything was different when we got there.. we were told we could get in the pool but when we arrived they said it’s only for spa guests. The website also says you could rent access to the rooftop for a private dinner but when we arrived, they told us they didn’t have a restaurant. I’m not sure if it was a race thing or a sexuality thing but we didn’t feel very welcomed by the staff at all. I don’t think it was worth the money; I won’t be back.
Locals (recent) to the area and we'd never heard of the The Remington until I did some browsing for a place where my husband and I could go for a couples massage. The massage was lovely, the staff was kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our experience very much.Although we didn't stay the night we did take get to take a tour of the hotel and we absolutely loved it. It really is a hidden gem. The rooms were beautiful even considering that they aren't "luxury".The property makes for a great venue with their banquet room near the roof top.I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends.I understand not everyone can afford their prices but I'd much rather spend my money here than at the other hotels which are crowded with people doing who knows what.
Zero stars. This was the nastiest room I have ever been in! At first we were put on the dog floor which we said we did not want! We were told there was only 1 other room left and it was on the same floor. I booked the room in line and this was not even an option. We get to our room and it was filthy!! If I could post pictures I will!!! We let the front desk know we were not happy but again told we didn't have any other option. The room smelt like a wet dog that has pottied all over the place! So this morning when I went to check out of course I went to the "manager" and while she was looking at the pictures I took. She informed me that there was nothing she was going to do about it because we didn't change rooms! I let her know we tried! She wasn't even worried that there was dried pee in the tub!!! It really was disgusting!!! Next time we have a choice to stay anywhere we want in Shreveport Bossier City it sure won't be at Bally's!!! I promise you that!!
The front desk ladies are nice and welcoming once you arrive. The rooms are nice and well maintained , the tvs can use a little upgrade but other than that the casino and views were great. We were a 5-10 min drive to restaurants and activities. Definitely pleasant experience.
The room is nice. It includes a mini fridge, coffee maker and safe in closet along with a hair dryer and toiletries. The room was spotless along with updated furnishings. The view was great. The only thing I would've liked to have in the room was a microwave
Well, my first room the shower was not draining. And towels were missing from the room..After redressing, and changing rooms.. I stayed in my room...I didn't feel like visiting the casino or the restaurant. I did sleep well and got some rest.
Huge room, crazy cool bathroom. The staff did their jobs but did not interact with guests unless absolutely necessary. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The on demand TV menu offers movies that are still in theaters, for a fee. The bathroom was bigger than my college dorm room. The casino is 3 floors, tables and slot banks spaced nicely so everything feels very open. If you liked the ElDorado you will be pleasantly surprised that the new ownership and name have kept its standards.
