Convenient to highway was the reason we stayed. Elevator was out but front desk managed to put us on 2nd floor which was good. Hallway smelled a bit like mildew. Luckily room didn't. Hot breakfast was fine though nothing major. Seemed a bit overpriced for the room but there was artwork in the bathroom 😊
One of my worst experiences. I arrived around 10:30 PM. I checked in online so it wasn’t too bad. Made it to the room, unpacked and turn on AC once on I think a jet was about to take off. The unit was sooo loud there was no way we could get any sleep. It was so late and we were exhausted to go back to ask to be moved. I thought the noise would stop. Nope it didn’t. I woke up more tired than I went to sleep. Moving on the breakfast, what a joke! I don’t understand who can give 5 stars to this place. Filthy, stuff on the floor and I could find a single clean table to sit down. Oh and almost nothing for breakfast except a waffle maker, yay? But… they ran out of syrup so we ate nothing. At the checkout we interrupted this lady from her phone. She couldn’t care less about what I was telling her about our experience. “ I’ll let the manager know” yeah right. I bet she never said a word to anyone. If you don’t care, you should be on that job. What a shame, mediocre room, horrible staff and a joke of breakfast. How could anyone sleep with this? No once contacted me from the hotel. Maybe after this they will.
Excellent service and friendly staff. I did not get to stay in a room, because other arrangements were made at the last minute, but I did have the opportunity to enter the facility to look around and interact with staff.
My stay hear was not the best there was no water pressure the pool was closed and front desk has to let you in the gym I requested late check out as a Choice diamond member because I work over nights and was told she can’t do it to call at 8 in the morning and still had front desk banging on my door right at 11:00 not very professional if I could do a zero star rating, I would…. And the a/c didn’t work
At the moment, I am giving the beginning of my stay at Comfort Suite a 1/5. The lady at the front desk had a very dismissive attitude with checking in. According to her, rates went up since booking out room a week ago, and was charged (not pre authorized) an extra $50 from our initial rate we quoted when booking online a week ago. The front desk lady also failed to notify me of the price change prior to paying for the room. I do not appreciate the bait and switch. She informed to talk to the manager tomorrow. We'll see if the review changes after speaking with them in the morning.
So impressed with this hotel!Breakfast was great! The room and workout room were very clean. The staff was very kind, joyful and eager to help. Thank you Justine and Sheila for your professionalism and courtesy!Would highly recommend this hotel!
My recent stay at Comfort Suites Youngstown was fantastic, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Sheila, the manager. From the moment I arrived, Sheila's warmth and professionalism were evident. She patiently attended to all my needs, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and inviting, reflecting the high standards maintained by Sheila and her team. I highly recommend Comfort Suites Youngstown, especially for Sheila's outstanding hospitality. Thank you, Sheila, for making my stay memorable!
The only good thing about his hotel was the restaurant and location. This was the only place with a decent rate and where most of our group was staying. The rooms were not only disgusting, musty and icky, but there was mildew all over the edges and bottom of the shower. The towels provided were barely large enough for a normal sized person and were not very absorbent. I asked for extra towels the next day and was told they didn't have any to spare. No consideration for customer service and ended up moving to the Fairfield Inn down the road soon the last day. Cleanliness and customer service can use some improvements.
Go in with low expectations. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, but there is MUCH to be improved that is controllable, such as customer service and cleanliness. The front desk staff was just there. When I checked in I was verbally given literally no information including my room number. I walked past a minimum of 4 times per day for work and the gym and not a single time was I greeted. When I got to my room, it appeared clean, but it was just clean on the surface. Someone else’s hair and dirty earring were in the bathroom and I don’t mean like hidden in the back corner under the vanity. Very visible and just not cleaned or checked. The housekeeping staff was friendly though in the two interactions I had with them. The maintenance of the place was even worse than the cleanliness. I am very understanding that somethings are just old, but most of the issues were controllable. First thing I noticed was one of the two elevators was down (caution tape and all) my entire 5 day stay. This caused lines at the first floor and it took over 5 minutes some mornings to be able to take one down. Additionally, in my room the shower did not drain and there were some really bad repairs that were just laziness. I did not call them to fix the shower as I don’t like people in my room when I am traveling alone, so maybe they would have fixed that right away, but I don’t know.To top it off, I am not an expert, but my 10-years in facilities and the abhorrent smell in the gym makes me believe they should be in communication with a remediation company. Maybe they are, but based on the smell and damage seen in my room, doesn’t appear to be going very fast. Gym equipment has visible rust, no weights and the pool, while blue, was very cloudy.
I stay here at least once a week. The front desk clerk Amanda is the most pleasant and helpful front desk clerk I've ever encountered. She is very professional and helpful. She deserves a raise yesterday.
The staff of this hotel was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean but personally the bed was a little on the hard side for me. My daughter thought it was fine. The pool was huge and really nice!Over all I was impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
